Everyone thinks my private Twitter is the place I spill my thoughts lol well it’s actually here. Long time no see. 3 years now since my last post. Life is strange. In terms of an update - Jake and I broke up after 6 years. It probably should’ve ended a long time ago but neither of us had the balls. I basically let myself be treated like shit for the last year knowing he wasn’t doing well but one day I realised I can’t live like this. He then needed some alone time, and by alone time he got a new girlfriend 6 weeks after we broke up, having slept with me the morning after their first date after admitting he went home with her partially because he was jealous I’d been with someone from work lol. I mean if that’s what he wants for his future relationship then so be it, couldn’t be me. Luckily, moving on is easier when you’ve had a shit last year with someone. Also scrolling through my blog doesn’t give the best impression of us either lol. Not saying I’ve moved on overnight, but it’s helped. Moving to NYC tomorrow too. My life is a bit like a D list Rom Com right now but I’m here for it. I’m more confident than I have been in a while (thanks male validation) and it’s nice to feel so free - I could apply to stay in NYC if I wanted (subject to visas and me liking the place lol). I’ll miss my friends, mostly Rosie, Sach and Ria, but I don’t think I’d leave London perm anyway, I’d probs just do a year or two. Well, unless NYC can convince me. Let’s see what happens. Exciting times ahead.

also me n the bf are so tense rn bc new flat stuff and our masters projects are stressing us out. i know it’ll be fine once we are moved in and settled but rn arguments are happening over petty things, i get he is stressed with his project i really do but it’s hard having to sort most of the bills stuff myself and do my masters project and working part time a few hours a week and fit in seeing my family before i legit leave the north forever (well at least moving out of mum’s for good after living during uni holidays) and when i tell this to him he just doesn’t acknowledge it aghhhhhhh being an adult suckzzzzzzzzzzzz and it’s downhill from here woo

aghhhhh don’t get me wrong i think my new job sounds like it’s gonna be super interesting and the company is so so so lovely but cant help feel that 1. im stupid doing a job where i have to do exams for god knows how many years 2. im gonna be so out of my depth and have a feeling they're gonna throw so much programming at me and no matter how much i try my brain just really struggles with it, even though everyone’s like omg physics degree you should be good at programming and 3. it’s gonna be super crap watching my bf/friends all have fun after work and i’ll probably have to study

Just had no idea doing a masters would be this lonely yknow. Reached the point I even rang up the Samaritans just to talk to someone about everything going on bc I don’t wanna bother the few friends I have left lol. Never ever ever expected to do something like that. The lady was actually super lovely. Just feeling like crap bc I have so much work I should be doing but instead I’m just randomly getting upset all the time over the smallest things. It’s nearly 8pm on a Friday night and I think I’m gonna go to bed. I’m always exhausted for someone who doesn’t ever go out. Really want to go home but I haven’t been able to recently as there’s always been something kinda planned on like a Saturday or whatever that means I can’t go home for the weekend. The lady I spoke to said it’s sounds like I haven’t given myself a proper break going from undergrad to internship to masters. Only issue is even on days that I hardly study I can never really have a break as like today, like I’m not working but I’m feeling super guilty about it. Agh I dunno what to do really. The lady advised going to my GP and asking for help but it feels stupid bc I don’t even know what id say. And if I’ve mentioned how I’m feeling to anyone in person i get the impression it’s not serious enough for that. Idk I’m exhausted but when I try sleep it takes forever as my heart rate is so high. That stresses me out even more bc I know that I’m even worse when i don’t get enough sleep and it’s like a never ending cycle. Lying in bed now and I’m physically exhausted but I can’t relax. My head feels so heavy and my eyes are dropping but my heart rates so fast. Aghhh. Idk why I’m posting it here. It kinda helps to write stuff down. Even if it makes no sense to anyone else haha.

actually can't stand social media anymore, idk why I feel the need to be on it so much. also why it equally annoys me when you do something like watch a film with someone and all they do is sit on their phones. really just need a break from it all but it’s hard when it’s what i use to stay in contact with everyone.
