I mean, Noah is behaving in a way that society teaches women to behave. I'm not saying, all women behave like that or that women behave like that by default, but I do say, that a lot of females are quicker to come with the "I am prettier" flex than men. I don't know about you, but when I think about men trying to insult another man or a woman, the attack on the man would probably not be about the looks and for sure not a comparison of "who looks better", attacking a woman, he would just call her ugly but not compare her.

The problem is that we still haven't got a real female public sphere. There are successful women in the male dominated media. There are more women than men posting on Instagram, but that is shaped by male-made profit-oriented algorithms. We haven't got a popular female social media site that's part of women's normal discourse. We haven't got several popular women's newspapers and magazines that really have women's politics as their focus. The magazines that do exist are far too niche. The discourse is shaped by men. So of course it's difficult for us to get people to seriously discuss the complexities around the trans issue, for example. Around maternal care. Poverty in women. It's like we're lacking any way to bring consciousness-raising to this vital level. All of our issues are discussed in a way that's shaped by men. We need a male-exclusionary public sphere that normal women participate in. Not just college students. Not just already committed feminists.

There is this place in berlin that helps lesbians, like you cant go there when you have some kind of issue, they help you with coming out and even when you need psyvhological help, I think they advice you on how to go about things. And, to make that clear, it had lesbian in its name, not queer or anything.

So my friend went there and told me, it was really helpful there was this older transwoman helping her...... I never had such hard time keeping a straight face in my life.

Sometimes I think about that young woman from america, who was a "sex worker" (She was mostly a sugar baby, not sure where that falls) that claimed that it is actually a problem that prostitution is legal in germany because "you cant ask for so much money". She ended up in a weird situation with an abusive guy who was paying for her rent. In the end she called me in the middle of the night and I had to help her so much to get her out of that situation. Only to figure out in the end that her family is stinking rich, and even though the relationship is strained, they provided her a better living situation than I ever had....
