Corpse Husband Fanfics
So, I am very happy that Corpse is getting such a huge fan base so quickly (which he honestly deserves). It's also nice that people are writing fanfics about him and he seems chill about it so far. The only thing I want to say is be careful what you post for HIS sake. What I'm talking about is there's a lot of fanfics with him being called "Daddy" and according to OG subscribers; the term makes him uncomfortable. This man has horrible anxiety already and the last thing we need is fans making him uncomfortable while he's in euphoria with him growing. We all love Corpse and we're all having fun with him; but let's remember this makes him uncomfortable. I'm not hating on anyone either since this is unknown to all new subscribers. I just want all of us to be on the same page for him so he doesn't feel uncomfortable with us😊

This is started off as just me practicing backgrounds (cause I hate it and have never done it), but it turned into a what-if scenario.
Consent Education.
THIS IS IMPORTANT.
And please note that there are no specific pronouns. Consent is ALWAYS required from ALL individuals, regardless of gender, sex, relationship, et cetera.

This is so true! A lot of the time, I get stuck in a writer’s hole. But whenever I get a comment like the above ones, it makes me want to write more!
PLEASE COMMEEEENT
AND REBLOG
All good suggestions! Another to add to the list: don’t insult as a joke.
Even if you’re only ironically saying something like “i hate you” when you in fact loved the fic… we still just read it as “i hate you”. Getting a notif of a comment always gives writers a little thrill, and then seeing something like that in the actual comment… doesn’t feel very good. Remember, the digital medium is not good for getting sarcasm across!
Apart from that, any sincere comment, no matter how brief or jumbled or nonsensical, is always going to make a writer’s day.
Thx for comments suggestions I always get stuck when I want to comment but idk what to write and i just give kudos
Honest to God, I love when people quote my fic to me or leave detailed reviews or scream wildly, but “I really enjoyed this” = A+ comment, will make my day and leave me doing a face somewhere between these three emoticons: ☺️😁😍
Of course writers enjoy detailed, thoughtful, enthusiastic feedback, but what we mostly love is knowing someone read something we wrote and was moved to leave a short comment (that wasn’t “please update” - please update is fine as part of a comment, but on its own it’s kind of dispiriting). I seriously cannot overstate how much even a short little “OMG LOVE” or “I enjoyed this!” or “This made me laugh/smile/cry!” or “This was really good/funny/hot/sad!” means. You don’t have to write Pulitzer prize winning prose to make a writer’s day. Trust me on this!
(And even a like or a kudos is so much better than nothing.)
Writing can be lonely, and fanwriters don’t have Amazon for reviews or get paid. Reviews mean the world to us.
Yes, I am going to continually reblog this. No, I’m not sorry.
please comment or send in encouraging messages, i am always deprived of it :((((( <33

Layout Tip #7: Fonts
The Boku no Hero Academia: Ultra Archive New Heroes Template (both PSD and online generator) uses various fonts to make things look cool. If you don’t have those fonts on your computer, this post is to help you out!
Forenote: You can always google these font names to find free downloads of them, but I will not be linking font downloading sites unless I know the sites are reliable. That’s not to say whatever pops up on google isn’t reliable, I just haven’t used them before, so I can’t vouch for them.
Title Font
All of the character names, hero names, tag lines, and other stuff are styled in a font called “Impact” (or “Impact Regular”). It’s pretty much the only font that’s key to the template, having appeared in the original Japanese version and making it look uniform.
This font comes standard to most computers, and I can’t seem to find a download of it on a reliable font-downloading site, but if for whatever reason you don’t have this font and can’t access it on official sources (like Microsoft’s font page or fonts.com), you can message @yourultraarchive and I can give you a private download link (due to bandwidth reasons, I don’t want to post the link publicly).
Japanese Fonts
The Japanese font used in the templates is “MS Gothic”, which is much thicker and angular than other Japanese fonts like “MS Mincho”. It’s as close as I could get to the original Japanese version of the Ultra Archive (if not exactly the same, it’s a bit hard to tell). If you don’t have this font, you can try to use something similar (something sans-serif and preferably thick), but these are your profiles, so as long as you think it looks good you can do whatever you want!
“MS Gothic” a standard on Windows computers (not sure about Apples), but if you do need/want to download it, the safest bet is to download it from official sources (linked on Microsoft’s font page).
English Fonts
Both the PSD and online templates use “Manga Temple” on all non-title text to achieve a manga-like look, but if you prefer different fonts, you can always use one of these:
“Anime Ace” (a popular choice for comic artists out there)
“Comic Relief” (a font that isn’t all-caps)
“Chinacat” (also not all-caps)
“Komika” (all-caps, but click here for more variations of the Komika fonts)
“Comic Sans” (I know people hate on it a lot but there’s really nothing wrong with Comic Sans)
“Verdana” (which was the main font used in fascans’ English scanslation of the Ultra Archives), or
“Calibri” (also used in the English scanslation)
The latter 3 are all standard fonts on pretty much any computer. Fonts like “Manga Temple” and “Anime Ace” are caps-locked, so if you prefer something where lowercase letters are possible, one of the latter fonts might be more up your alley. (The example below is from @sirnighteye‘s profile of Hello Nurse, which uses “Comic Sans” since this was using the Online Generator and I’m assuming their browser defaulted to that due to not having “Manga Temple” installed; but still, kudos to them!)
Your choices for fonts shouldn’t be limited to these of course, these are just suggestions! If none of these suit your fancy, you can always download some other fonts here, here, or here.
Bonus Tip: Varying Fonts
You don’t have to limit yourself to the two or three fonts used in the default–you can change up the fonts for things like the quotes to make them stand out more!
For example, in the example above (from the English scanslation), the description and personal data sections are in “Verdana”, the personal data answers are in bolded “Calibri”, and the quote is in another font entirely (I’m not entirely sure what the exact font is though, sorry!).
Changing font faces, however, is limited to the PSD template only–there isn’t a way to change fonts in the Online Generator without doing a lot of HTML. Maybe if I get a lot of demand I’ll put up a tutorial for that, though. ‘Til next time!
