U1 of Physiology — Epithelial Cells ✅️

The rain hasn't left for days. Everything feels heavy and soft at the same time, and I can’t quite describe it. I haven’t been to college this week. Home feels hard lately. I keep getting distracted, losing myself in little things. I don’t even know what I’m trying to say, but maybe that’s okay?

It’s been a while. 3 months maybe? I got super busy after summers with syllabus completion, practical writing, and semester exams. And as soon as the semester ended, we had to prep for Freshers'.

The exams went much better than my 1st semester. Oooohhh, by the way, my results are out from last sem: SGPA: 7.95

I’m not disappointed, honestly. That semester was pure chaos. Of course, I could have done better, but I’ll take it.

So… 1st year is officially over. I still remember walking into college feeling so unsure about everything in my life. I’m really grateful for the professors I’ve had to guide me along the way. Hopefully, I don’t repeat the same mistakes this year and manage to do even better.

Classes have already started — just 3 so far. This year I’ve got:

P6: Physiology

P7: Biochemistry

Organic Chemistry (Minor)

Crime and Society (MDC)

Ethics & Values

That's right. 3 major papers. Anyway, I feel quite distant from tumblr. I haven't been using this app. But I really miss interacting with people here. I will try to update everyday now. I promise. Take care you guys.

Lately, I’ve been studying botany every day. With only three weeks left before college reopens, I’m trying to make as many digital notes as I can — since most of my reference materials are digital anyway, it just saves time and effort. 🐻

I’ve been so into BTS lately—it’s wild how inspiring they are. They lift my mood the moment I wake up, fire up my dopamine, and suddenly, I want to study, create, and do everything at once. It’s been hard trying to be productive. I do get distracted, but I always come back. I keep thinking about how they never gave up, and that pushes me, too. Yesterday, I had this little realization, and right now, they’re my biggest inspiration. 💜

So, 3 weeks, huh? sighs

I haven't been productive (academically) like I had planned. The first 3 weeks of summer were chaotic, somewhat exciting but really...stressful? I didn’t get to do, well, any of the things I had mapped out.

But it wasn’t all a waste. It wasn’t unproductive in every sense.

These past 3 weeks, I did things I genuinely love:

I started reading again—The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It was a gift. 📖

I wrote a song. (well...an attempt, really.) 🎵

I explored so much new music. So many artists, so many sounds. 🎶

I ate A LOT. No regrets. 🍜

I spent real, uninterrupted time with my best friends. 💗

I finished 2 KDramas. Emotional damage? Yes. Worth it? Always. 🎬

I started painting again and honestly, these days... that's all I want to do. 🎨🖌

Tried a bit of photography—clicked a bunch of pictures. 📸

So...I guess that was something, huh?

Oooh, and I also turned 20. (that's good)

Monday | 05/12 | 11:00 p.m.

Just one hour before I turn 20.

It doesn’t feel different, exactly—but somehow, it does. Like I’m on the edge of something new, even if everything around me looks the same.

Last year, around this time, I was excited. But turning 19 turned out to be my worst birthday. Chaotic, traumatic, and heavy in ways I still don’t fully know how to explain. Honestly, the year that followed was mostly the same—tragic, draining, exhausting. Physically, mentally, emotionally.

But the last few months of being 19 were different. They were quiet. Introspective. Transformative in ways I never expected. I started reflecting more, feeling more, understanding myself better. It wasn’t always easy, but it was fulfilling. And for the first time in a long time, I started dreaming about the future again.

So here I am—an hour away from 20. And it feels… original. Mundane, almost. Like just another day. But there’s something in me that knows—this feeling might make all the difference.
