alright, classes over, now i can talk about her.

like i said in my tags, percy has to go on a self discovery journey post canon. just like all the other weasley siblings, she spent her childhood vying for attention, and she found that through conformity. molly had expectations, so percy met them; she was top of her class, she was a prefect and later head boy, and she got a good, stable job at the ministry. in my opinion, her wants, desires, and ambitions in life were almost superimposed onto her, in a way.

there are mixed opinions in the percy weasley community about whether or not she would return to the ministry after the war, and that has always been a gray area for me, mainly because of this identity issue. i don't know if the ministry was actually percy's personal end goal, or whether it was simply her meeting outside expectations. and i don't think she knows that either. and if she ever truly sat down and thought about it, she'd spiral, and i think it's important for her to spiral like that. overall, her post canon journey, to me, involves reevaluating herself to figure out what she truly wants.

i will say, percy is a bit of an enigma of sorts, because i don't think she's caught up on who she is as a person — even though she has some major fuck ups, i think she understands her morals and where her loyalties lie.… for the most part, until they disrupt the mold she's made for her life, then those have to go, or be suppressed. undoing that last part comes into play, but it's most of combining who she is with what she wants to do, rather than treating them as separate entities like she used to. or, instead of forcing her qualities into a predetermined box, she's letting the qualities create a new box of their own.

now, you might be asking yourself, what does any of that have to do with percy being trans? well, you see, percy has to go down this road and reevaluate herself anyway, and i think making her trans simply adds to that.

just like with futures, molly also seems to have strict views on gender and their roles. we see this mostly with ginny. all the weasley kids aren't that effected by this, and i will say i don't think percy is on board with molly either, BUT, circling back to the while ministry business, percy is trying to be the model son. and in doing so, she's unconsciously suppressed the part of herself who didn't feel like one. it got in the way of her goal, and therefore was unimportant. once she starts rethinking and unraveling that goal, all of those parts of her come back to the surface and she has to face them. she has to because she'll be damned if she lets herself be willfully ignorant again.

percy accepting the fact that she's trans is just another way of her becoming comfortable in her own skin, of being sure of herself and living for herself in a way she's never had to before. it's accepting ever facet of herself and understanding how she wants to exist in this world. in the end, percy being mtf isn't just about her being trans for the sake of it (though that is perfectly fine and where the majority of my gender headcanons lie), it's simply another way of expanding on her character, showing how she's grown.

But you see- I'm so Percy centric that I just can't dig up that potential myself my brain always goes ok but why would I do that when Percy's right there and I could have Perclin

Colin canonically has a tendency to do things he shouldn't/be places he shouldn't be and we all know that's extremely true for Fred and George too

i know it's not canonically realistic for Percy to be pretty well liked among the DA very much more of an au thing but that's never going to stop me from deciding at least a fourth of them have complicated feelings in regards to him.

like in some cases thinking he's actually pretty justified in the leaving part but it's not their business

while in others them just having a hard time seeing it from the other Weasley's perspective because he's always been really nice to them

not like a thinking he's fully right thing and more them having a little bit of a "maybe i could fix him" moment from time to time when it comes to him being against Harry.

So i bought a sprite tool and one of the first things i did was try to make perclin and lovewater in it

idk it was only 10 bucks and i thought the style was cute and was once again considering making a rpg maker game

I made these with Memao Sprite Sheet Creator it also comes with walk+run cycles and all the typical like farm sim motions (water plant pickax chop)

idk it's pretty easy and actually has a decent amount of options i do think they are cute

Percy Weasley was 100% a pretty boy I refuse to believe otherwise.

Like Harry and a lot of HP Characters including Percy’s own siblings have no chill when it comes to roasting other people’s appearances.

But not once is Percy’s appearance insulted. He’s called pompous and arrogant sure but never ugly.

Like I know we all collectively agree that Bill is the pretty boy of the family but Percy 100% is as well.
