White liberals foaming at the mouth trying to silence black and non black people of color from making accurate critiques of democratic candidates under the guise of unity has become a troubling trend; a trend that mirrors every white liberal movement whose primary beneficiaries are white People. They tell us to to be quiet and to wait. They tell us now isn’t the time to raise concerns about our liberty, equality, and safety. They tell us that voicing these concerns jeopardize the movement as a whole so we should continue to support a movement that leaves us out of the conversation for the greater good of white liberty and promise to come back for us. But they never do come back for us; they never do say it’s time to have these discussions. Everyday it’s a new white issue and everyday it’s another “wait.” I refuse to stop talking about how the Democratic Party is built on white supremacy and the disenfranchisement of black and brown people for the sake of white unity. I will not stop criticizing democratic candidates in support of white liberalism. I simply will not do it.
