I saw a post on a terf blog before I blocked it from someone being like "Ummm is anybody else really concerned about the rise of antisocial kinks like pissing" and it made me laugh so hard I almost did a little antisocial kink myself

If you have "any paraphilia DNI"/"paraphiles DNI" (or any variation of this), either educate yourself or unfollow me, because this is ridiculous.

All kinks and fetishes *are* paraphilias. Being attracted to fictional characters or objects is a paraphilia too (you can still use ficto-spec and objectum labels if you prefer them over saying you're fictophile, objectophile). Paraphilia is literally any attraction that is considered *atypical*.

If you're having "any paraphilia DNI"/"paraphiles DNI", I'm gonna assume that you either don't know what paraphilia is, or you're a puritan, and I don't wanna puritan to interact with me.

Edit: Edited a mistake. Someone in the reblogs pointed out that I used "purist" instead of "puritan" in the original version of this post.

(Adding it again, since the original reblog was a reblog of the original post before editing it). Another thing I want to add is that: if you ever want to send ask to me related to paraphilias, do not use phrases like "harmful paraphilia" or "toxic paraphilia".

As an explanation I'll quote Kris' (@/thisisparamisia) answer to one of asks [link], because they explained it pretty well:

No paraphilia is inherently "harmful." Every paraphilia can cause harm if enacted in an unsafe or compulsive way, or in a manner that breaches consent. Even one of the big 3 could explore their paraphilia in a completely nonharmful way (ie; healthy levels of roleplay or fiction.) Saying "harmful paraphilia" does not make sense. Let's bring up objectophiles, for example - they could engage with an object in a manner that could do them harm (ie; penetration with the sharp end of an object), or sexually engage with someone elses object without that person's consent, or a whole range of other unhealthy things. Does that make objectophilia inherently harmful? No. Another example, unsafe BDSM practices. Does that make sadomasochism or bondage inherently harmful? No. What about creeps who have foot fetishes/kinks and harass people about their feet? Does that make podophilia a harmful paraphilia? No. "Harmful paraphilia" is not a useful category. Literally every paraphilia can be disordered.

I'm gonna say it.

It's unhinged to assume that someone's taste in fiction equates to what they believe is moral or good, or is something they want to see or experience in real life.

That is a bonkers assumption to make.

I'm tired of humoring people with long arguments about it when the simple fact is it is a totally fucking absurd reach to accuse someone who enjoys something in fiction of being in favor of it in real life.

I'm tired of pretending like this is a legitimate position to hold-- that they should be afraid of fiction's dire influence on a reader's moral decay or that it's a sign of what the author secretly wants for realsies in real life.

Question for any Black and/or Hispanic trans boys and men:

What is boyhood/manhood to you?

I’m questioning whether I’m just a trans man or if I’m also nonbinary on top of it, but I’m not sure if it’s because I’m truly nonbinary or if it’s just because I feel disconnected from the experiences of boyhood and manhood. I have Black and Hispanic cis male friends, but they feel so insanely different from me and I think it’s because I’m genderqueer and they aren’t. I don’t have any transmasc/trans male friends to ask about this, so I’m posing the question to the public.

You don’t have to answer in some grand, overarching way that encapsulates as many people as possible, I want your experience with your gender, even if it’s something simple. Hell, I felt gender euphoria just from cutting my own hair the other day, so if you wanna mention something like that, feel free. I wanna see if I resonate with anyone. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
