For a little data analysis project (it is based in Australia, but like in title and Q2 only), its about current opinions on the affect of the bright LED lights on other drivers, pedestrians and their fatigue and any behavioural changes. i think we all need to complain about LED headlights more. please can we all complain about them more. night driving is nearly impossible for me to do now without having to white knuckle my way through a thousand evil suns. every time i see those headlights in my mirrors i take 2d6 radiant damage. i want to destroy every single LED headlight under my feet like they’re goombas

LED headlights should be illegal. At least car manufacturers should angle them to point down and not at the other cars.

While we’re at it, shade all outdoor lights to minimize light pollution as well! Probably some of the reason people think they need lights that blind everyone but themselves is because everywhere is so bright at night.

Adam might be able to breathe out one tiny little Whimpering noise from his throat before he just… Slooowly inches forward, grabs his sketchbook... and immediately runs away and hides in his room falling face down on his pillow, and proceeds to yell incoherently for probably the next hour…..

Then to make matters worse, he’ll be Dreaming about it for like a Month minimum….

The Girl he Loves…. wearing an Eternian Gown, and looking like a Goddess dripped in shades of gold and decorated in Cosmic stardust….. 🫣

Which of course then quickly derails into Adam picturing her in an ethereal Wedding dress like the One he saw his Mother wearing from his parents Wedding Portraits in the grand halls of the Palace

And just like that he’s Screaming in his pillow again….. 😖

I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

Hey OP, love your scalding take here; don't forget about commutes.

Once you factor in commute times (which even for short distances can be grotesquely inflated due to the fact that so many people are all commuting at the same time, but that's a different conversation) many people are actually devoting upwards of 10-12 hours a day on "work related tasks."

This is bat friendly street lighting, which not only looks sick as fuck but allows bats to pass through without disturbance, as they cannot see red.

orange and especially white lights deter bats and prevent them from reaching feeding grounds at nighttime. Please if you can, write to your local council and encourage red street lights!!!!
