Pairings: Mia x Nikolai, Ethan x Liane, Jeremy x Cole
Extra Characters: May Parker, The Twins (Darlene & Margot), Alexander, Joshua, Bella
— idk where I am going with this but stick with me haha
Summary: Sometimes finding old stuff in the winter bring back memories among other stuff
—
Fighter-Town, Maine, there things were oftentimes bearable in the sense, but always a bit magical, so it reminded the folks who lived there for hope.
One winter afternoon in Maine, within the cozy apartment of Amelia and Nikolai, stood doing some reorganizing.
Yes, she could’ve done it any other day, but for whatever reason she had some time on her hands to do so.
Nikolai, Jeremy and Ethan were out with most of the kids today.
Joshua and Bella were at the library studying.
So that left her with just the twins, Margot and Darlene.
And—
“Mia where do I put this?!”
“You seriously need to ask?!”
Right.
With Liane and Cole.
Cole had closed his shop today to head over for some hot chocolate and Liane wanted to get some work done without any interruptions.
So they came to Amelia’s home, of all places.
Not that she was complaining about the extra help.
Cole was bouncing Margot in his arms as he used his magic to organize the clutter around the room.
Liane decided to carry around a few boxes and being careful, not to trip over Darlene’s toys.
Last she did that, Darlene screamed as her pink stack of block, that she made into a castle, was knocked over.
Cole smirked at Liane’s panic at trying to hush the 2 year old girl and fix the mess.
“And how did you raise Bella again?” Cole remarked as Margot coo at the magic coming from her uncle’s fingers.
“With the grace and composure of a fairy.” Liane replied gesturing to herself. “Now, shut up, you got the calmer twin.”
“Yeah, sure. But really, how?”
“Well, Bella did not require too much really, she didnt fuss like other kids. She was only vocal when she needed actual help.”
“Huh. You sure, you were raising a child?”
Amalia, who was carrying the box of old books, walked in to answer, “Technically they are both calm. But Dar is a bit more picky about her things.”
“How are they supposed to be related to you?” Cole joked, “I mean I know, how, they are. But you’re not picky.”
“But their father is. I tried once to tailor Nikolai’s old hat, and he was picky about the feather. He wanted it green to match his tie, and not black.”
“Well the man was a former pirate once upon a time.” Liane added. “Well, actually he was a bandit, who was friends with a pirate.”
Rochelle’s wife, Princess Michelle, had former pirate training, when she befriended Nikolai and Jeremy.
That’s the only reason Liane knows about this side of the tale.
“I married the actual pirate so, I won.” Cole said with a cheeky grin as Margot looked up at him smiling.
“Me know!” Margot replied, giggling.
“I know! Crazy, right? Uncle Cole is fill of surprises.”
“Ooo! Swow me!”
Cole chuckled, using his fingers to magically whip up a small flower and place it in Margot’s hands.
Since the day she was born, Margot was more likely to crawl and nuzzle into Cole’s arms instead of everyone’s else’s. Darlene was similar in that fashion, but she enjoyed tea parties with her auntie Rochelle or Liane more.
Then again, they are only 2 years old, so they can change preferences soon enough.
Amelia sat down on the couch, as the box was placed a few feet away Darlene, who was currently trying to recover the mess of her block castle.
Liane was helping Darlene, as she set another box down next to the coffee table. Darlene sat in Liane’s lap, as they picked out which dolls to play with for the castle party.
The blonde woman glance at box and asked, “What are in these anyway?” Liane reached over to open the lids and cocked her head to the side, “I just see old dresses, framed paintings and…is that fine china?! Whose did this belong to?”
“My mother.” Amelia replied with a softer tone as she explained, “When things washed over from our land to the town..and some of it was my mother’s stuff…”
“Ooh…” Liane responded giving her a sympathetic smile. “I’m sorry, Mia. I heard what happened when she…” She paused covering Darlene’s ears and said, “Died.”
—
Years ago, as the story was told, May passed away one beautiful morning, when Amelia brought Nikolai to meet her mother. They were newly engaged.
But during a brief battle, The Evil King, Alexander’s guards found the cottage in means to ruin the couple’s happy day, as an arrow accidentally struck May in the chest.
That morning was spent looking for a quick cure but there was no luck.
As May had one request to see their wedding day…
So Nikolai and Amelia had a small yet intimate makeshift wedding in the garden of May’s home. Underneath a flower arch, the two wed as May’s last sight was the couple exchanging their vows.
The older woman died mere minutes after.
But she went out with a smile on her face.
—
Cole glanced over and blinked, “How did you know?”
“I’m not blind to events, oh magical man.” Liane answered mocking him. “Plus I’m a fairy..we know things.”
“Right. Fairy thing. Yet, you knock over things when you fly.”
“I—! Only when it’s windy!”
“And when it’s not?”
“…I get pollen in my eye?”
“Seriously?”
“I worked a long shift last night, cut me some slack on the comeback!”
“At least you fly better than you drive…”
“I outta—!”
“Guys!” Amelia tried to stop and huffed, slumping back into the couch. “Relax! It’s not a big deal, but seriously Lia…you’re not the best at driving.”
“I drive perfectly!” Liane defended herself and smiled, as Darlene looked up at her auntie. “It’s true. You know I drive well. I even got you a car seat.”
“Purpwe!” Darlene corrected nodding confidently.
“Yea! A purple car seat with cup holders,”
The twins talked often, one more than the other, as they tended to not say the words correctly yet.
But they were getting there.
Their mother was incredibly proud of them for it.
Margot, who was put down by Cole, toddled over to the box a few feet away from her sister. She used her chubby little hands as she lifted the lid to reveal books.
Children’s books, note books and other novelty items.
Mostly brown, olive greens, along with different colors in the mix.
Toys were stuffed inside and pillows too.
It was a tiny mess but you can see what’s inside.
She pulled out a stuffed elephant and coo at it cocking her head to the side.
“Mine?” She asked.
Amelia looked over at her daughter, surprised she moved around the room within a matter of seconds, to open the box with ease.
She cocked her head to the side in confusion and wonder.
Similar to her daughter.
That’s when it started to make sense what Margot was holding.
It was Amelia’s old stuffed white elephant with a bow tie from when she was a child.
“No, baby, that’s mama’s,” Amelia informed with a chuckle. “You like it?”
“Yes!” Margot exclaimed in a toothy grin hugging the elephant close.
“You want it?”
“Yes pwease!”
That cause Darlene to snap her head up from her own toys as she pushed herself out of Liane’s arms and toddled over to the box herself.
She looked around, shoving items that didn’t caught her attention yet, as her eye landed on the stuffed ballerina.
Well it was a bunny with a tutu.
She grabbed it and marveled at the toys, toddler over to show her auntie before going back to see what else she can find.
And she found something alright…

Personality 📋
Addy to the lucky few—is a whirlwind of bubbly charm, sharp sarcasm, and clever chaos. She’s awkward and infectious, with a grin that disarms and a laugh that sticks, never quite aware of her beauty or the attention it draws.
Fashionable and emotionally messy, she fixes broken things because it’s easier than fixing herself. Kind when she wants to be—especially to kids and ramblers—but don’t show her a pet unless you want her to vanish. She isn’t used to all animals, yet. Her empathy runs deep, though she hides it behind eye rolls and crossed arms.
Addy feels everything, even if she pretends not to, keeping her alien past buried beneath quips and cosmic glam. She’s not here to be a hero or a villain—just a girl from Vanyra trying to exist under Earth’s sky.
Skills 🧹
Dimensional Awareness – She feels shifts in space and time—like when someone’s from another realm or something’s not supposed to be there.
Cosmic Code-Switching / Multilingual (Yes, including Groot) – She can speak 3 Earth languages and a handful of alien ones. Including Groot. Don’t ask.
Tech Empathy (Vanyran Pattern Recognition): Not magic—just supernatural pattern intuition. She doesn’t cast spells. She just sees how things work. Every system has a rhythm, every machine a “pulse”—and she feels it like a heartbeat.
Emotional Echoes – Not mind-reading. Not empathy. But if someone’s feeling too much? She feels a ghost of it. Like a shiver down her spine. She doesn't like it.

🌠 THE VANYRAN PEOPLE — Children of the Collapse 🌠
Disney might call it a “wishing star.”
But to the Realms? To the ones who know better?
They call it Vanyra.
A fractured planet on the edge of collapse, caught in the swirling remnants of a dead star and warped gravity fields. It doesn’t appear on charts. Odin may have sealed it away. It exists between known and unknown space, thriving in the chaos.
The Vanyrans are not made of magic.
They are made of possibility.
Shaped by space-time anomalies, their bodies evolved to sense what others cannot—tech, emotion, dimensional fractures. To wish is to risk. And sometimes? That wish becomes you.
Vanyran Abilities (Each is unique)
Not all Vanyrans are born with powers.
Not everyone is born with powers. Some Vanyrans are “normal.” Some awaken abilities in childhood. Others—like Addy—don’t manifest until young adulthood, triggered by emotion, trauma, or even choice.
It's voluntary. If a Vanyran doesn’t want their powers… they can choose to let them go. But once let go, they can’t always come back.
No two powers are exactly the same. They don’t follow a rulebook. Powers are tied to intuition, desire, and need—making each Vanyran's gifts as unique as a fingerprint.
The abilities are subtle, mysterious. Less “laser beams,” more “echoes of potential.” It’s the feeling of something magical, without knowing if it’ll help… or hurt.
The Girl Who Wished Wrong (Or Right?) 🪄
Born on Vanyra.
Raised on tech and twilight.
Addy’s powers didn’t awaken until she was older—after a heartbreak she’ll never talk about. Maybe she wished too hard. Maybe she didn't want to feel anything anymore.
Now she lives with her abilities like an open wound she stitched herself. They’re not magic. They’re hers. And she’s not even sure she wants them.
But the universe?
It still whispers to her anyway.

☄️ The Fall of Calla (Addy)
It wasn’t a war. It wasn’t a prophecy.
It was a beautiful day.
Calla—young, sharp-eyed, ever curious—was with her mother, Delphina, that afternoon. While Delphina read ancient scrolls and sipped her wine beside the crystal caves of Vanyra, Calla chipped at the jewel-rich floor, unearthing a blush pink gem that shimmered like a secret only the planet knew.
Her laughter echoed through the cave, soft and unbothered.
Then came the call from her father, Alister—one of the realm’s lead craftsmen and tacticians.
He wanted them both to see something. A marvel the soldiers and engineers had crafted that day.
A small sphere—a glowing crystal orb, infused with light meant to guide those lost in dark realms. It pulsed with gentle energy, refined and elegant. A gift, perhaps, worthy of Asgard’s Vault. Odin himself would’ve paid handsomely for such a creation.
But something was… off.
The orb pulsed twice. Then a third time. Too fast. Too loud.
And then—a crack.
Thin at first, then widening, a tear in the very air before them. It hummed, distorted, pulled at the wind like it had its own gravity.
A rift—small, unstable, and impossibly dangerous.
Guards rushed in. Engineers panicked. Voices shouted, “Shut it down!”
But it was too late.
A sudden flare of energy yanked at the edges of everything.
In the chaos, Calla—standing nearest to the orb—was pulled in.
Delphina screamed. Alister ran.
But all that was left… was silence.

Her Arrival on Midgard 🌍
She didn’t crash from the sky in a blaze of glory.
She drifted through space-time like a leaf on a current until she landed.
Hard. Calla woke up on Midgard with bruises, dust on her palms, blood on her lip—but alive.
Somehow, miraculously, alive.
She staggered to her feet beneath a pink sky. Her skin still glowed faintly from residual energy. Her Vanyran cuffs were cracked. Her voice echoed wrong in her throat.
And the worst part?
She could feel it in her bones: she wasn’t home anymore.
Not in her body. Not in her blood. Not in her stars.
There was no portal to return. No signal to send.
The crack had vanished. Vanyra was gone from her reach.
She was alone.
On a planet that didn’t even know it was spinning beside the stars.
And with no choice left…
She adapted.
She hid her name.
She became Adaline.
~~~
🌍 The Fall of Calla, the Rise of Addy
The landing wasn’t soft.
Calla crashed into Midgard like a falling star—bruised, disoriented, and very much alone. The colors, the noise, the sharpness of the world—it was nothing like the harmony of Vanyra. Her clothes shimmered strangely. Her accent sang too smooth. People stared.
When she asked for directions, they answered in riddles:
“Just turn east near the 7-Eleven.”
She blinked.
What’s a 7-Eleven?
Eventually, a kind stranger broke it down:
“Left. Look for red, green, and orange stripes. That’s the store.”
At night, she curled beneath bus stops, studying magazines for language and names. One glossy cover caught her eye.
ADELINE — strong, beautiful, Earth-born.
She took the name. Shortened it to Addy.
🕶️ Enter: SHIELD
It didn’t take long.
A strange energy spike hit a local radio tower. Cameras caught glimpses of a girl with glowing wrists. Someone called it in:
“She ain’t right. Like she walked out of a sci-fi flick.”
SHIELD agents found her cold and alone. She didn’t fight. Just sat silently, wrapped in a blanket.
Director Nick Fury was the first to question her.
“Where are you from?”
“How did you get here?”
“What are you?”
She said nothing.
Then Phil Coulson, watching from the corner, stepped forward.
He smiled kindly.
“You said your name’s Adeline, right?”
“Mind if I call you Addy?”
A pause. A small nod. Her first moment of safety.
🌟 The Spark That Ignited 404 Corp
After the SHIELD tests turned up nothing harmful, Addy was permitted to roam under supervision. Coulson noticed how she observed the world with this gentle reverence, like she was seeing art in even the smallest things. She didn't just look—she felt everything.
She’d stop at:
A coffee machine, watching the brew cycle like it was alchemy.
Jewelry, tracing the chains like they were sacred threads.
A broken drone part, quietly picking it up and studying the way its wires curled.
One day, a SHIELD intern grumbled, “Ugh. This drone’s busted again.”
Addy softly replied, “May I see it?”
She didn’t fix it traditionally. She touched it.
Her fingertips glowed faintly, subtly reacting to the tech. Within moments, it powered on with a smooth hum, functioning better than before.
Everyone stared.
Coulson raised a brow. “How did you do that?”
She shrugged, sheepish. “I just… listened.”
And that’s when it clicked for Coulson—she wasn’t just curious about Earth’s creations. She understood them.
🛠️ From Curiosity to Calling
SHIELD gave her a basic apartment. A space to breathe. Addy would spend hours tinkering with discarded parts, wire, beads, and scraps of metal. She started crafting fusion-pieces—tech jewelry that blended Vanyran elegance with human practicality:
Rings that glow softly when detecting atmospheric shifts.
Earrings that record and store sound memory like tiny USB drives.
Bracelets that pulse with your heart rate and adjust to emotional waves.
Coulson visited sometimes. Watched her craft. Smiled when she gifted him a pair of cufflinks “to keep your spirit steady,” she said.
He offered a small laugh. “You know… people would pay for this stuff.”
And that… became the seed.
🧿 The Birth of 404 Corp
The name came from a magazine she read:
“Error 404: Not Found.”
She tilted her head. “Not found?...like i was.”
So Addy named her company 404 Corp—an homage to her crash, her loss, and her journey of becoming. It wasn’t just a business. It was a beacon for those who feel like they don’t belong.
She started small:
Half the company focused on wearable tech, elegant and intuitive.
The other half? Jewelry forged with rare metals, crystals, and cosmic flair—earth-made, Vanyran-inspired.
Her pieces weren’t just beautiful. They were functional. They protected. They felt like you.
Soon, 404 Corp wasn’t just a name—it became a movement. A symbol for innovation, identity, and finding power in the unknown.
What was that? Another- ANOTHER ONE? NOT ANOTHER ONE- Yes another one. I have zero self control and a willing crowd. And Cassete makes me happy.
OUAT Cassunzel: Do You Believe Me Now?
Characters: Cassie aka Rapunzel, Arete aka Flynne Rider, Cole aka The Dark Warlock
Settings: The Snuggly Duckling, Cassie's shop in Fighter-Town
IB: Tangled, OUAT and Cassandra by Taylor Swift
"So Goldie," Flynne began as Rapunzel narrowed her eyes, streaking past her. "Rapunzel. Not Goldie." She warned as Flynne held up her hands in surrender. "Fine, Rapunzel. How did you get a name like that anyway? You know it means Lettuce right?" She said as Rapunzel raised an eyebrow, looking at the thief. "Oh you think my name's weird? How did you get a name like Flynne Rider? Your mother read too many books?" She questioned as Flynne just shut up after that. Rapunzel smirked, glad she'd shut that down as Flynne saw a familiar wooden sign.
"Hey Goldie, fancy a drink?" She asked as Rapunzel frowned again but she was getting a little thirsty. "Actually that's not a bad suggestion, I should've brought water with me," she sighed as Flynne held back a laugh. "Yes. Water. A drink..of water. Well I know of a place where we can..refresh ourselves just up here. Ever been to a tavern before, Little Witch?" She asked as Rapunzel shook her head. "Mother goes to sell her wares outside the Tower but she's never mentioned a tavern before." She shrugs as Flynne grins. "Well then allow me to introduce The Snuggly Duckling to you."
----------------------------------
Cassie was bewildered. Just as Cole went to leave her shop she stopped him. "Wait!" She called as he sighed, turning to face her. "Yes?" He said, tapping his foot. "You can't just leave me with that and expect me not to ask for more!" She retorted, as she tried to block his exit. He rolled his eyes. "That's not going to be very effective dear, I have my own magic that counteracts closed doors easily." He says before trying to disappear but he can't seem to leave the threshold. "I...wait, what have you done!" He says, incredulous as Cassie smirks and points to the door.
"Oh you didn't know? That door has wards. Wards that say that only the witch who cast them decides who comes and goes in this shop." She smiled as the Warlock grimaced. "This is why I don't fraternise with witches," he grumbled as he took a seat. "Fine, have it your way. Ask your questions, Cassandra." He says, as Cassie smirks and seats herself across from him. "First question, why can't I remember everything?" She asks as his expression falters.
"Ah. That. Well...you won't like it but it's...Alexander's fault. And a little bit mine." He says reproachfully. Cassie's eyes narrow. "Explain?" She says, eyeing him as he sighed and scratched his neck. "Oh alright. So when...the Curse was enacted, I did explain to him that the magic was strong but it probably wouldn't affect the likes of you the way he hoped. And of course I was right and when Fighter-Town came to be, you were quick to start.. asking questions and trying to rally people." He explains as Cassie just shrugs. "Understandable. So what happened?" She says.
"He...he came to me asking for a solution. I suggested...a memory spell." He says, wincing as the penny drops. "A..memory spell?" She repeats. "Yes. It worked a little too well though as it didn't really erase them entirely, it scrambled them around. A lot. And some of them did disappear entirely. While others became more prominent. I did warn him that it wasn't foolproof but he didn't listen. And so you forgot a lot of what happened in the Enchanted Forest. Especially what happened after you left your tower." He says slowly.
-----------------------------------------
The air was thick with the scent of alcohol, smoke and general bodily odour. There was nothing snuggly about this establishment as far as Rapunzel was concerned. Flynne handed her a cup and she winced. "Is this the same stuff they're drinking?" She asks as Flynne shakes her head. "No, Goldie. This is wine." She says as Rapunzel takes a sip. "It's...got a funny aftertaste.." She says as Flynne chuckles and shakes her head. "Just try it. If you don't like it, I'll get you some water instead." She offers as they take a seat and Rapunzel starts to notice the other patrons around her. They're burly, tough and they seem surprised to see her in their tavern. And then she overhears a conversation.
"Haven't you heard? They're cracking down on crime in the kingdom, you'll be lucky to make it to the spring with your neck intact," one says grimly as the other grumbles. "Not like I can see the future," he shrugs as Rapunzel turned to face them. "I can show you the future." She says as Flynne nudges her, giving her a look. The burly man looks at this woman, frowning. "You? You're not some charlatan are ya?" He says as Rapunzel shakes her head. "Of course not. Look, give me your hands and I can give you a glimpse of the future, or there's also a chance I'll see your past but uh, we'll try anyway." She says as Flynne covers her face.
"Alright girlie, try me." The man grunts as he gives Rapunzel a large, scarred hand as she goes to take his other but sees the hook and smiles. "Ah well it still works. Alright then." She nods as she takes his hand and she's plunged into this man's future as her eyes roll back and she takes a breath. "Beautiful music, coming from a piano, you're playing this piano!" She says while she's under as the man gasps. "I...I become a musician?" He says, his voice softening. "You do. An excellent one," She smiles as she lets go of his hand.
She hears other patrons start to laugh mockingly as she frowns. "Hey! Don't mock his dreams! I say, if you think you're so tough, let me see yours and I'll tell you what the future holds." She declared as the tavern fell quiet. And another patron spoke up. "I'd like to see what my future holds, Miss." He says, laying down his weapon on the table as Rapunzel noted his exterior and smiled. "But of course." She took his hand and saw immediately what his past had wanted.
"Oh you wish for love, don't you?" She sighed as the brute's expression changed and he nodded. "Yes, yes I do!" He smiled. "But just look at me, lady, I'm no prize." He said as she let go. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my friend. Don't let your exterior counter your heart's desires." She said as patrons started lining up to see their futures.
-----------------------------------
"So, because Alexander wanted his picture perfect Curse Life, I got stuck with possibly one of the cruelest fates? Just because of my...gift?" She choked as Cole just sighed. "The price of magic, love. He clearly had his reasons for making you part of this Curse nonsense but he didn't really think it all the way through I'm afraid," He says as he tries to stroke Blanche but she bats his hand away. "You have a very sassy cat," he commented as Cassie just sat there, deep in thought. "I've lost a whole chunk of my story- story! It'll be in the book! Right?" She says as he smiles but it doesn't reach his eyes.
"Yeah. You'd think so wouldn't you? Well...let's just say...part of your story is there. The.. other half." He says as Cassie's eyes narrow. "The other half? You don't mean..." she starts as he winces. "Goldilocks. That one. The Rapunzel story never made it to the book." He states as her eyes widen. "WHAT!? But...but that was barely even a chapter in my life! That was a cover! A ruse! Oh my- the Rapunzel story was ERASED?" She cried as Cole tried to calm her down.
"Peace, Little Witch. I agree that it's entirely unacceptable but what's done is done." He said firmly as Cassie collapsed into her chair and Blanche immediately ran to comfort her. "Goldilocks...that stupid nickname.. and now I don't even remember where it came from!" She cried as Cole just shifted in his seat. He was never very good with crying. "Goldilocks, of all the stories to be stuck with..." she sighed as Cole awkwardly patted her knee. "I'm sorry, Cassie."
-----------------------------------
Rapunzel was laughing and smiling as she reached the end of the line of patrons but she spotted Flynne still sat at the table, nursing her mug of ale. "Flynne, how about your future?" She asked gently as Flynne lifted her head. "Me? Uh nah there's no point. And it's nothing exciting what I want. Money, mostly. The easy life." She shrugs as Rapunzel settles next to her, locking eyes with her. "Please?" She said as if butter wouldn't melt. And Flynne thought she had a way with getting what she wanted. Her blue eyes sparkled like precious jewels as Flynne swallowed and just nodded. "O-okay then. Sure."
Rapunzel took hold of her hands as Flynne tried not to blush and the girl was plunged into her future. She saw a body of water at night, a wooden boat, a gorgeous starry night and through Flynne's eyes she saw someone in the boat with her. Silhouetted by the darkness, her hair threaded with flowers in a thick braid as she feels Flynne hesitate before speaking. "Rapunzel?" She says in a voice soft and calm. Rapunzel's eyes widen as she watches the silhouette turn and sees a face like her own, smiling back at Flynne. "Yeah?" She said as Flynne moved closer and captured her lips in a kiss. "Rapunzel? Rapunzel? Rapunzel!"
Flynne let go of Rapunzel's hand as she came back, gasping as blood poured from her nose and the patrons hurried to her aid. "I'm fine, I'm alright, it happens." She says wiping her nose. "Well? What did you see?" A man says as she blinks, realising. "Oh! Uh well you uh, you'll get what your heart truly desires." She nods, trying not to blush as Flynne raises an eyebrow. "Really? You're certain?" She nods again as Flynne smirks. "Well boys, I guess drinks are-" She begins as the door hits the wall hard. "Flynne Rider!" A voice barks as Flynne's smile drops and she grabs the sleeve of Rapunzel's dress. "We're going. Now." She says urgently as they start to make their escape, as the patrons tried to hold off the guards.
-----------------------------------------
Cassie just sat there, cuddling with Blanche as she waited for Cole to keep talking. He'd very kindly made her a cup of tea, as comfort was not his specialty. "My entire story, replaced with a footnote. My entire legacy, my story was reduced to the silly side plot of my life after my original story concluded." She says softly, sipping her tea. "I..I know. But there might be something that can open the door for the rest of your memories to be restored." He says as Cassie sits up. "And you didn't think to mention that sooner?" She says as Cole holds up his hands in defence. "You were grieving, that was more important! But yes, I might have one of the pieces of your puzzle. Or at least the key for finding your missing piece." He says as Cassie leans forward. "Tell me." She says.
"The name of the person missing from..from your tale, from Fighter-Town. I know it." He says quietly as Cassie just waits. "Her name was Arete." He says as something shifts in Cassie's mind as she's flooded by memories. Her eyes roll back as she clutches the arms of her chair as she starts to remember. Laughter in a field, running away from the guards, kissing in a boat, feeling a heart stop beating, the snick of metal as her long hair fell away.
"Cass? Gods, Cassie? Cassie!" Cole called, his eyes glowing green as he dragged her back to the present. "Cass, your nose," he said as her eyes went back to normal and she gasped as she grounded herself. "Arete.." she said quietly, like she was reciting a spell. Cole nodded. Now there was no going back. "I have to find her, Cole." She said firmly as she struggled to her feet. "I can't let Alexander think he has any glory left. Not while there's breath in my lungs."
There! Okay but I'll need time to write the next part, I do have a plan...part of a plan. Okay mostly the flashback bit for now. Art takes time be patient.
OUAT AU: All Because You Came For Me
Featuring: Cassandra Ashfield as Rapunzel, Arete Lokidottir as Flynne Rider, Cole Lensherr as The Dark Warlock
Settings: The Enchanted Forest, Fighter-Town Post Curse Breaking
Deep in the Enchanted Forest, far away from any light or hope stood a tall, tall tower with no visible door and one small arched window up at the top. And in this tower was a girl with long, pale blonde hair and her name was Cassandra. But she didn't know that was her name. Because the woman who had her trapped only ever called her Rapunzel. Every morning this woman she called Mother would brush Rapunzel's hair and ask for a vision of the future.
"Rapunzel?" She would ask as she sat herself in front of the girl. "What do you see? For your dear mother?" She asks as the girl smiles and takes her mother's hands and she is plunged into her future. "Bandits in the forest...thieves on the run...oh Mother you must avoid them!" She says as she lets her go and Mother wipes the blood from her nose. "Good girl. And don't you worry your pretty head. Mother knows these woods well, I'll be fine as long as you stay in this tower. Yes?" She says, throwing on a hooded cloak. She nods. "Yes Mother." She replies as the woman smiles. "If people knew what power you held, oh my darling you would be torn to shreds! Forced to serve selfish, wicked rulers! But you are safe here." She smiles as she waits for Rapunzel to let down her hair so she may leave the tower.
And so Rapunzel occupied herself. Reading book after book, making hats for her cat Blanche, making potions for her Mother, studying her tomes, mending clothing until she was utterly bored. She sat stroking the small white cat, sighing. "Just once I'd like a little adventure, Blanche." She sighed as she heard something scraping against the wall. It couldn't possibly be Mother, it was too early. She looked around for a potential weapon to defend herself and her gaze landed on the skillet hung by the stove. She picked it up and waited in the dark as the stranger reached the window opening of the Tower and scrambled inside and held a tiara up to the shining light.
"A thing of beauty.." they muttered as Rapunzel struck the intruder on the back of the head with her skillet before gasping. "Oh no..." She muttered as Blanche nudged her, indicating the chair and rope. She nodded and bound the intruder, removing their scarf concealing their face and she saw a handsome face. A woman's face. A scar ran down her cheek and she was dressed like the thieves she had seen. All she had to do was wait for her to wake.
--------------------------------
"Thank you for visiting the apothecary, come again soon!" Cassie smiled tiredly as she shut the door to her shop. She sighed, leaning against the door as Blanche hopped down from the counter into her arms. "At least you keep me sane, you crazy little thing." She sighs with a smile, snuggling into her snowy white fur as she wanders away from the door.
"Everyone in town is happy Blanche. Everyone's got their happily ever afters. I think. Except me. The cursed little witch." She mutters as Blanche baps at her nose. "Okay fine not 'cursed'. But it sure feels like it. Everyone finally remembered. But I still feel like somethings...missing." She says as she lays Blanche down on her bed. "Or someone?" She wonders as she lights her candles. It was like a jigsaw in her mind, putting all the pieces together again. And that puzzle was still unfinished. Who had she forgotten? Who was missing?
"Did someone die before The Curse?" She asks as Blanche arches her back, stretching out with a yawn. "Or did someone get left behind? Left in the Forest?" She says as Blanche just shakes herself off, unbothered. "You're my familiar, that means you're supposed to help with this stuff." Cassie reminds the cat as Blanche meows in defiance. "I'm sorry, it's not you. I just...ugh! Im supposed to know what's going on! But when it comes to my own future I haven't a clue!" She groans as she flops onto the bed.
--------------------------------
Rapunzel brandished her skillet, trying to look intimidating as the intruder awoke. "Who..are you?" She said firmly as the woman blinked, realising she was bound to to the chair and panicked. "Huh what? Where am I?" She says, struggling as Blanche lands in her lap, hissing. "Don't struggle, my cat doesn't like strangers. And she likes a good scratch." Rapunzel said, circling her. "Now, who are you?" She asked as the woman raised a eyebrow. "Call me Flynne. Flynne Rider." She grinned as Rapunzel frowned.
"Okay. Flynne. Why are you in my tower?" She said. "Your tower? I thought the place was abandoned. You *live* here? How do you get out?" Flynne asked as Rapunzel paused, lowering her weapon. "I...I don't really. Mother says it's not safe for me. She knows best." She shrugged as Flynne scoffed. "Mothers. They think they know everything. But one thing I don't yet know is your name." She says, leaning forward as the chair creaks. "Rapunzel. And don't say such things! Mother has kept me safe from people who would harm me." She nodded as Flynne smirked, leaning into it. "Oh and she's so right. Why some men would make mincemeat out of you. They'd eat you alive.." She grinned as Rapunzel fumed and batted at her with the pan, earning her a glare.
"Ow. Is that cast iron? You could do permanent damage with that." She winced as Rapunzel sighed. "I know you're just being cruel, so be honest. Is it truly so dangerous out there?" She asked, her eyes deep with hope. Flynne swallowed. Her eyes were very..noticeable. "Uh well if you have proper protection...or just don't go to dangerous spots, then you should be alright? Unless you're dangerous?" She asked, giving her a look. Rapunzel rolled her eyes. "Do you consider witches dangerous?" She asked as Flynne glanced around at the potions and spell tomes on the walls. "Uh...depends on the witch?" She tried as Rapunzel considered a deal. "Okay, Flynne. I'll make you a deal. I let you leave this Tower and go wherever you..need to. But you will take me with you to see the outside world. And...protect me too. Do we have a deal?" She offered, holding out her hand. Flynne made a face. "Uh kind of tied up at the moment."
Rapunzel sighed and released her hand. "Do we or do we not have a deal? I could leave you for my Mother to deal with," She warned as Flynne sighed, realising her options were slim. "Fine. Deal," She agreed, shaking her hand but as they made contact Rapunzel was thrust into a memory of Flynne's. An old one of a little girl playing with other children happily in a strange looking land gilded in gold. "Arete!" A voice called as the memory faded and Rapunzel was flung back into the present, as she let go of Flynne's hand. "What the Hel was that?" She asked in horror as Rapunzel turned away. "I didn't mean to pry. I can't help it. I've never done that accidentally before. Forgive me." She nodded as she started to untie Flynne.
"Will you still protect me?" She asked as the bounds fell away and Flynne dusted herself off. "Of course I will. But..you're bleeding!" She said in shock as Rapunzel wiped her nose. "Ah, it happens. So, stay put, I'll let you down." She nodded as she threw down her hair for her. "Climb down with my hair. It's very strong." She said as Flynne held on tight, lowering herself to the ground by Rapunzel's hair, it felt strong as rope in her hands as Rapunzel lowered herself down before letting her hair splay out in the grass. She was out.
--------------------------------
Cassie lay there, staring at the ceiling as Blanche came to rest on her stomach. "Is this our lives, Blanche? Giving everyone else their happy ending and yet we never see ours?" She sighed as the cat just yawned. "Of course you couldn't care less, your idea of a happy ending involves a scratching post and sprung mouse traps," She muttered as she heard the bell on the door ring and sat up so fast Blanche nearly went flying before Cass caught her in the air. "Sorry, I'm coming!" She called, heading to the shop front.
"I am so sorry I wasn't here to greet you, hi there welcome to the Apothecary, I am Cassa-" She began as she saw the face in front of her and frowned. "Oh. It's you." She sighed as Cole stepped up to her counter. "No customer service smile for little old me? Oh Cassie you wound me.." He pouts as Blanche hopped onto the counter, hissing furiously at him. "Hiss to you too, cat." He muttered before eyeing the witch. "What do you want, Dark Warlock?" Cassie sighed as she stroked Blanche. Cole chuckled.
"Actually I have information you might like. But for a price of course-" He began as Cass rolled her eyes. "Your price being?" She asked as he just grinned. "Jeremy and I want a night off this Friday and Astrid needs a sitter." He said plainly as Cass raised an eyebrow. "Your usual sitter isn't available then?" She asked as he grumbled. "Despite our deal, I am more scared of her wife than I like to let on.." He muttered as Cassie smiled. "She is royalty, I can't blame you. But sure, I'll babysit Astrid." She smiled as he grinned back. "Excellent. And now your information. I know who you are missing, little Rapunzel," He grinned as Cassie's smile dropped and her gaze became curious. Hopeful. "You do?" She said as he giggled.
"That I do. See your own prophecies don't come quite as clearly as others do, so you simply last track of her memory, her face, her location." Cole smirked as something flickered in her mind. A name. A laugh. A silhouette in a field. The name was...no no maybe it was... "It is entertaining watching you fumble little witch. But I know where she is. Your missing piece." He commented, running a finger along the counter. "Tell me," Cassie said firmly, giving him a hard stare.
"That's...the bad news I'm afraid," Cole says, hesitating. "The Bad News?" She asks as he swallowed, running a hand through his hair. "She is still in the Forest."
Hope you enjoy!
Note: OCs Arete Lokidottor and Cole Lensherr belong to @gcthvile
In which: Cole’s niece and nephew were accidentally jumping around places…oops!
Pairing: Nikolai x Mia, Michelle x Rochelle
Platonic Pairing: Bella & Joshua
Note: Was it Alexander fault to separate the children from their relatives today? Who knows?
——
The two sides of the same coin yelled out to the other before coming into a stop, landing on the grass within the distance of the road. Bella landed right on top of Joshua as the other groan in pain from the fall.
She rolled over onto her back and huffed pushing her bangs back against her forehead, taking a moment to breathe. She looked over to find her friend sitting rubbing his face and dusting himself off, looking around catching onto the scenery surrounding the two.
It looked like their home…
Or so they thought.
“Just for the record, this wasn’t my intention..” Bella muttered sitting up as well.
He raised an eyebrow, “Oh pray tell.”
“I didn’t plan on doing anything like this.”
“Cause you won’t have courage to say how you feel, so you drag us down to the woods?”
“Hey! I didn’t drag you down here, you followed me—”
“Cause that’s kinda our thing. Look, we don’t have much time to just sit around and argue.”
“Exactly, cause there’s nothing to argue about…”
“Bella.”
The two exchange glances at each other and nodded, a mutual agreement between them to not argue. They needed to stick together and not drag one another down a wrong path. They knew better than that.
So they were off, walking around the forest and woodsy fields to hopefully find a place that they recognized. Neither have been too far into the woods before, so they assumed the energy pushed them away to the edge of the forest. However after circulating the trail, Bella noticed something on one of the trees.
A poster.
She furrows her eyebrows ripping it off the tree to show it to Joshua. The two examine it closely, trying to figure out what the poster was about.
As always Bella was quicker. “What day it is?” She asked.
“Uh..Tuesday?” He replied simply.
“Be more specific!”
“Tuesday 15th. We’re in mid winter time, basically the cold timeframe by all accounts of the season.”
“…holy smokes.”
The poster showcases a painting of a castle with roses, people dancing and stars. Danvers.
“Aunt Michelle’s Royal ball…” Bella murmured in shock.
“Wh-no, that’s impossible! That’s just some kind of trick..”
“Oh really? We’re in the middle of the woods, no cars, no kids and our phones aren’t getting any reception.”
“Oh fu—”
The two were then stumbling across the path for shelter and food, when suddenly a magic cloud of smoke came into view.
As always the two screamed, hugging each other for protection as Joshua grabbed whatever was nearby to protect themselves.
“Alright, alright, what helpless poor unfortunate souls have come across my—why hello there.” Said the voice.
In front of them stood none other than Cole. Only this time in more detailed leather and a wicked grin.
“Oh, this is just great..” Bella mumbled sarcastically, as Joshua eyed the man quietly.
“You two lovely souls, seem very…lost.” Cole remarked, “And by that ridiculous fashion sense of yours, you’re not from this realm, I suppose.”
“Yeah, great job, Mr. Accent. Dark one, or whatever your name is called at the moment…”
“Rude. Dearie, you’re in my world, not your world and clearly your parents didn’t teach you anything about respect.”
“As if I respect you at the moment. I’m cold and tired and have no desire to continue this conversation, unless you’re not gonna help us.”
“You little—!”
Joshua sighed deeply and cut them both off with a yelled, “HEY! Listen, sorry, we’re uh..kinda lost and far away from home. And i understand, your whole grand goal here, whatever it is…but if we could get a shot at some sort of help, that would be awesome.”
Cole looked at the young man in front of him. This honey warmth in his eyes and gentleness in them, it was like they were staring into his soul. Joshua’s eyes reflected a magical yet awkward and kindness, that he never imagined coming to him today. Cole swore he was met with a pure childlike spirit and a welcoming charm, despite the rough conditions and darkness surrounding Joshua’s aura.
After a moment, Cole blinked and nodded smiling softly. Bella looked at the man in shock and slight confusion at his willingness to help them.
“Okay, so, what happened? What did you get here?” Cole said sitting on a log and smiled, listening to them tell him how they got him. Once they were done, his eyes widened and yelled, “TIME TRAVEL?!”
“Bingo!” Joshua explained softly, “My mother and my father meet two of their friends tonight at a ball. Then years later, a curse is casted by my dark uncle, as you all band together with the entire friend group to come up with a solution.”
“…i help mortals?” Cole asked, almost in disbelief.
“My mother, Amelia Snow, is one of your best friends and your brother, Ethan, is..”
“I know what type of person my brother is! I keep an eye on him every so often. Here’s the deal, if I can get you two delivered back to your timeline, you have to provide me a token.”
“A token?”
“To know that what you’re saying is true.”
Bella spoke up, “ABSOLUTELY NOT—!”
“DEAL!” Joshua cut her off.
“Josh, are you crazy? It’s a deal with Cole. I mean, yes, of course he lives up to his contract and pays up, especially if you are willing to do the trade…but, it’s a different time and we have no idea what he’s going to do with it.”
“The book says that every single tiny detail means something. Who knows? Maybe it’s something small.”
“It better be…”
“What do you want?” Joshua asked him, as Bella stared down Cole.
Cole smirked, “Easy. In trade terms, i will get you home and you each give me something that belongs to you. Something small and simple. Strain of hair, a pin, a locket.”
“A knife?” Bella asked.
“I like this one.”
Joshua took off his wrist watch that he had gotten as a gift from his mother, to celebrate him passing a milestone in his life, and togetherness.
“Mother say that time is a gift that goes by too quickly.” Joshua said giving him the watch.
“Wise words from the woman.” Cole says then looked at Bella waiting.
Bella huffed looking at her bag and found a pair of Pearl earrings, which her mother gifted her, but it wasn’t ever her style. But she found it to be sweet gesture and her mother said she found it by accident one afternoon in the water.
“Here.” Bella said nonchalantly as she handed it over, “She said she found this pearl in the shoreline one afternoon. I don’t know if it’s a real or fake story.”
“Of its real, alright.” Cole remarked taking it, “Pearls from the ocean and shoreline are symbols of being both things. That you can be more than one thing.”
After Cole put away the items and explained how he would find a way to get them back home, they could wander around the woods. But not to do anything he wouldn’t do, of course. And if there was an accident, they had to try to fix it.
“OH! One more thing.” Cole exclaimed waving his fingers around, “You can’t go to a ball and not expect to dress like that, do you?”
He made a dress for Bella…
And then as suit for Joshua
“There! Much better. Glamor spell with invitations to the world here. Good luck and have fun.” Cole said then disappeared.
At the 16, I became the youngest queen of my island and did it with pride. I will admit it wasn’t easy even had my doubts, but I had my family and friends beside me, so it became a ride.
Years past by and it clearly was time for me to become a faithful bride. I knew I needed someone clever, loving, empathetic, experienced and supportive.
Weeks went by without any results of any kind that could fit the charts. Then I started to feel like I wanted something more—I wanted someone could be there for me and make me smile on my darkest days, as I can do the same for him.
As we search, Petra thought of Alexander Of Sparta, but Melissa had her eyes on someone different.
I wanted someone smarter. Kinder! Then we searched his family tree, as my eyes caught onto the boy for me. A boy I would give the world to see…
Nikolai.
He made my heart beat faster than I swore it couldn’t do such a thing. He made my smile grew even more. He had a lightning in his darkest days, I couldn’t explain but it felt just right.
He made every face in our island blush, men and women alike, with his recognition and charm. Trouble. That was the word whisper across the room from the elderly woman who stood there watching.
It felt like a roar! A fighter with a heartbeat that held layers.
I swear, he was one of the few men I had a curiosity for. He’s what I saved my affection for. Oh! He was the most impressionable man I ever seen, witty enough to be.
But long before we had a true chance of peace, he wrote to me that he thinking the same thing.
We were wondering…
Where is she? Where is the women you’ll have as your bride?
Where is he? Where is the man you’ll have as your guide?
Where is the love with whom you’ll spend your life?
Cause in my darkness, my heart is my drive. Time is fleeting, it’s running out, time to be women of the house.
Queen Amelia tug on her hood as she took a deep breath, her sword behind her back as she walked towards the palace. Her palace. As she headed to grab the doors, she paused hearing voices as she glances around to see several ships docked afar.
‘The fu-? Is my man having a party of some kind? I mean it’s been more than 10 years, he can do whatever he wants but still.’ She thought.
But she kept her guard up, as she slide in between the palace walls only to find it to be completely torn down and sacked like Troy.
‘Oh hell nah!…pigs.’
She even saw the silhouette of her husband in his layered clothes, slightly longer hair and stronger built. He built a challenge for the people here as he left the room.
Behind him followed their dog, Arrow.
‘He’s replacing me?! Oh wait, I been gone for years. Nevermind..’
Whoever could string Mia’s bow…
But what caught her attention more were the words coming out of men and women too. Suitor and suitress.
‘They are gonna wh-? And then—ooh hell no! Nah nuh! Nope! Geh—not today!’
— — —
I went on to hide their weapons as they OUTWARDLY planned out their attacks against my man AND MY SON—closing the doors as i shuffled to the weapons room. That’s when I saw a certain white dog.
‘Oh shi..ahh!’ I thought as I was approached by the fluffy mutt.
I was sniffled, licked and nuzzled in the side by the dog. Mainly surprised he would still recognize me.
“Oh, oh, hey, baby. I missed you too.” I whispered, “Shh, Arrow.”
Arrow calmed down puffing his chest out in front of me and looked determined, yet faithful.
“Good boy. Where’s daddy?” I asked in a whisper.
And without a single second to spare, I got my answer. Like a shadow in the wind, I looked up to see him coming through the curtains from the other side of the room.
I lost my breath, my mouth went dry—
‘Ah shit! He’s looking at me! He’s looking at me! I’m not even freshened up, oh no, I probably smell like sea! And then—uhh why is he looking at me like that?! Gah—’
Before I knew, I was slammed onto my back facing the floor, seeing my husband on top of me. He had a dagger in his hand and the other locking me in.
“You think you can buy me into your arms so easily?! That you’ll have to take me down—” Nikolai exclaimed with a glare.
I looked at him with frantic eyes, my hood fell off and my hair fell onto his fingertips. I could hear the sounds of suitors screaming and laughing down the hallway.
“Baby, wait it’s me!” I shouted.
“As if that were truth, I had women claim—” He snarled but then paused noting the scar on my cheek, “Wait...Mia? Is it really you?”
“You else would think to come in here?”
“I…hi.”
“Hey..”
He removed himself from me, and stumbled back onto his feet tugging me off the floor with him. I could see the wav of emotion spiraling his eyes and body, as he picked up his infamous sword.
“We uh..we have a lot of explaining to do to each other..” I mumbled, reaching for my bow and arrow.
He chuckled dryly and hummed, “Yeah, no kidding…”
Then I saw the determination in his eyes.
“Listen. Here’s the plan, for they don’t suspect a thing, you’ll take the ones in here and I’ll take the ones who’s stupid enough to reach our halls.” Nikolai stated, with a firm expression.
“But..” I started. “You don’t have a question for how I..?”
“No buts. And believe me, I have questions. But first..”
Before I could say anything, his hand slipped underneath my chin and pressed a long awaited kiss onto my lips. I hummed returning the affection, as my hand came to rest on his chest.
“But first, I have plans to ravish my dear wife once this is over.” He mumbled between our lips, before pulling away to exit the floor.
That left me breathless…
*takes a seat on the couch as the camera comes into focus*
Liane: Okay..do I look at you or do I look at the camera?
*title card saying Liane Felton: What's in my Bag?*
Liane: Hi, I'm Liane Felton and today I will be showing you What's in my Bag! Yknow I was supposed to do this for Vanity Fair during my modelling years? Yeah, that would've been- *laughs as the camera cuts*
Liane: Ahem so this is my Bag *brings into frame a large white purse* This is my baby, she goes everywhere with me and I can fit so much inside her pockets! Huh? *responds to person off screen* Of course my purse is a She! Look at her!
Hope you enjoy, not tried this interview format in a while, idea just came to me randomly, @ask-missparker think you could go next? I wanna see what you'd do with this format.
Okay, I was literally asleep when I got this Tag, but since I am waiting for Petra to watch Finding Dory, I might as well join in. Shall we? *wink at the camera 📸*
Soo I have different bags for different occasions. Technically it’s two bags! One for my day-to-day stuff, one for SHIELD days and if I am going to the mall, which is my biggest bag…oops! *chuckles awkwardly* I’m rambling, aren’t I?
Anyways sooo
Let’s do my day to day bag! 👜
In my day to day bag, I have the essentials. At least for me hahaha. Oh wait sorry this is my purse! Or bag, whichever one you prefer to call it. I know your probably thinking, this isn’t mine *🤨 laughing a bit* but it is! I had this bag boy since high school, but I don’t bring it to SHIELD anymore because I rather not have my bosses think I’m a childish little lady.
I was gifted this bag for my 16th birthday! Thanks to my step-daddy Ben and my mama for giving the guy the idea, because he had no specific idea what to give me. Aside from taking me out to eat on my birthday.
And yes I know it has Hello Kitty on it! Along with a Pokémon character, Peter gave it to me, sooo I never took it off. As for the Lotso mark on it? My step-daddy didn’t not he was a villian in Toy Story 3 when he stuck the sticker on there *😂 and shrugs* don’t worry it removable!
As for what’s inside? I have my sunglasses! 🕶️
These were a gift from a friend, who was very kind to hand them to me! I don’t always get to wear them very often because of the weather lately, being all over the place. One minute it’s cloudy and chilly, the next it’s warm and sunny. The f-? *camera cuts off*
I have coconut scented creams in here and whatnot, nothing cool or fancy. You sometimes just need to keep your hands from not getting dry! But I do got some pretty nice stuff in here *showcase her phone case, bracelets and earbuds🎧*
— I love theses! My earbuds tend to change every few years, because I use them every single day sooo they end up getting damaged. I used to use a hair clip to hold them together, but I was at the dollar store when I found this ADORABLE Snoopy headband holder *🥹 smiling*.
As for my phonecase, I tend to change the whole phone case to a lighter color when we get to Spring and Summer time hehehe! I go from a cherry red 🍒phone case to a cherry blossom 🌸 color with pinks.
The whole bracelet situation is always a mess haha. At the moment, I have my bracelet from Tiffany & Co. which technically I found years ago during my first year at SHIELD. Let me explain, I was on a mission in Italy, and while I was getting coffee near a park, I found this type of chain style bracelet just sit around. At first I thought it was a trap or someone lost it, so I left it alone.
Didn’t touch it! 7 days later, after the mission was completed, I returned back to the park near the cafe, and the bracelet was right there, right where I left it, I looked around to see if anybody had found it. Nope. Nothing. Soooo I took it with me! I know someone might classify it as stealing, but I can’t say it was stealing. No one claimed it!
*looks inside her bag* I have my wallet, which I am not gonna showcase on here. But it’s a cute Tiffany & Co. wallet, just so you know! I have a water bottle, because you should stay hydrated people! Oooh I got TONs of bubblegum in here, mints as well. Even crackers! Hey, a girl can get hungry and need a small snack to hold her over until lunchtime.
Tissues, because I am always emotional haha, and allergies are always floating around. Ooh! I forgot I have my cherry lipstick in here. I don’t use it as often as I should, but I used to wear it every single week, if possible. *keeps looking around* I have a couple of band aids, wipes and hair ties. You always need to be prepared.
Hm, I got a pen in here, a few pieces of paper—*opens the pieces of paper and read them out loud*—this one is a note from Liane that said ‘Buy some more strawberries and peaches! Thx ☺️’. This one was a list of things to buy such as shampoo, more conditioner and hair combs! We have a lot of different people in The Tower, so we need to buy items every 3 days!
Seriously, every two days, someone is going to the store to buy whatever we need. Sometimes it’s me, sometimes it’s Ethan, or Petra, even Liane will go out with Rick and Nat!
*searching for more stuff* Yikes! I have some wrappers, and more pieces of paper in here. I need to clean this bag out later! I have a charger for my phone, because for whatever reason I loose my battery real fast.
OHH! I have a headband, nail file since you never know when you might break a nail people—oh shit I am missing my Starbucks card. *gasps searching around in the bag then sighs with a pout 🥺* I am pretty forgetful right now and tend to misplace things, so I am pretty sure I have it somewhere in The Tower hahah. I will find it eventually!
Let me see what else I have in? *she raise an eyebrow 🤨 * Why the heck do I have a pair of socks in here?! Ooh right! I brought socks last week, just in case I got chilly. Anyways! I have Advil and Tylenol for anyone who needs it.
Uhh i don’t think i have any other interesting things to show ya!
Sooo yeah that’s what’s in my Day-To-Day Bag. I hope y’all like it
Oh to be 16 with an emotionally controlling boyfriend, taking a late night drive with the hot new guy who just GETS you and has quickly become your best friend, to be building him up and telling him about your future, when the world slows down and he looks at you like THAT
And you look at him like THIS
And you know you shouldn't be here, that you're on the precipice of disaster, but it doesn't matter because you're young and you've never felt so alive and free and understood
Weeks went by, Amelia allowed herself to be busy and distracted. Tending to her people’s issues as she saw more folks sail away to war in Troy, meanwhile she answered scrollings, attending meetings, and tending to the garden.
When she had time, she would particularly taking time to practice her swordsmanship. But most all, carefully taking care of her 5 month old son Joshua, as she’d carry him on her hip while checking on the halls.
Rochelle was at Troy with Nikolai and Amelia assumed that Michelle would be there too. But she was wrong.
One afternoon, Amelia put 7 months old Joshua on the floor and let him crawl around. She turn her back around for a minute and then he was gone! But the only thing she heard were giggles along with a voice from the dining hall, it was too early for lunch, as she grabbed her sword and entered.
To her surprise, she saw Michelle bouncing her son on her leg while eating a piece of ham. Amelia lowered her sword and squeaked, “Michelle?! What the-how the-?”
Michell looked unfazed and waved her piece of ham, “Hungry?”
Amelia blinked, “No! What are you doing here? Should you be at war or something?”
Michelle raise an eyebrow and giving Joshua a piece of ham to chew on, despite the baby not having any teeth yet, as she answered, “Am I? I don’t remember any war in my schedule—OHH right, Troy! Nahh, I can watch from afar, besides everyone knows i did not start that fight.”
Amelia blinked, “I know Helen and Paris started the war because of a love affair but still. Shouldn’t you be there in support?”
Michelle rolled her eyes, “My dear friend, someone needs to keep you company and protect you. And that person is me! Besides, I don’t trust these men…”
Amelia raise an eyebrow, “But aren’t you the goddess of war?! You’re literally pissed off every single week.”
Michelle grumbles, “Don’t start.”
Year 3-5 — 🍋
Joshua is 4 years old today, babbling out phrases and chowing on whatever his little teeth can dig into, unless it’s vegetables then he’s spitting it out. His curls were looking more like a golden brown, looking blonde in the sunlight, according to Nikolai’s mother who would oftentimes visit the palace. Amelia’s little boy was being treated like the prince he’s always been.
His eyes filled of wonder and a sense of humor, along with strength that reminded Amelia so much like his father. Amelia sighed, thinking about the weight and pressure of not having her husband home. Waking up some mornings without him were tough rolling over to not see Nikolai fast asleep beside her, but other times she would feel alright to start her day.
She figured that the war in Troy would end soon, she hoped.
At least she had Michelle who would stop by with a firey laugh and a couple of words to keep her spirits high. Even updating her on things have been, as Hermes—Cole—would accomplish a little more detail with messages from what he could overhear from the front lines.
“Dawling! Look who’s here, it’s me.” He’ll say giggling pulling out a scroll and reading it, “It’s from Nik. It says ‘Hello love, I apologize I can’t be there but, blah, blah I miss you and blah blah blah I hope you’re having a nice day. We’re planning on having a meeting this afternoon, my love’—man, he writes a lot.”
Amelia would snicker, rolling her eyes at Cole’s words. Other days, Amelia found Michelle enjoying her time in the dining hall, teaching Joshua little moves—more like Michelle will sing but deny it saying Apollo’s new stupid song is stuck in her head—as the boy will giggles and ask her questions.
Year 6-7 — 🍴
To say Amelia was still holding onto the ball was an absolute, ridiculous understatement. 7 year of war, waiting, meetings, waking up alone and tending to her world. There were weeks and even months where she would not see Michelle, as she went off to watch over the war, accompanying soldiers and making twists in the direction of the people.
Even joining Rochelle, her beloved lady of Wisdom, in the fight as they watched over Nikolai if they weren’t somewhere else. Meanwhile at home — sailors, vendors, royals, politicians would arrive at the island to speak to Amelia on matters, as she’ll hold up meetings with them.
Sometimes—if not, she’ll usually leave it up to the captain and councilman of the court to deal with it, then report back to her later.
Instead, Amelia would find herself reading in bed to her boy, Joshua. Eating lunch with him, watching him playing with their dog in the yard, and joining him in his studies as well. Sometimes she’d find Joshua writing away in scrolls and crafting sketches filled by ideas of him own.
One afternoon, she got the question she was dreading to answer.
“Mama..” Joshua started, midway through eating dinner.
Amelia was chewing on a piece of chicken as she answered, “Yes, baby?”
“Is father ever going to come back?”
Amelia froze—yes, her now almost 7 year old son would ask for stories about his dad, pondering how he’s like, and listen to messages Hermes would send—but that question hasn’t truly been raise yet.
She took a breath and swallowed the piece of chicken before answer, “Bug, I like to believe that he will. It’s just taking longer than expected.”
“Why? Auntie Michy says they just fight all week.” Joshua asked in confusion, referring to Michelle.
“Well, yes, they do. But it’s more than that, it’s a fight between love and hate…Papa is on the front lines of that battle helping to sort everything out.” She explained, “So it takes time.”
Joshua nods and sighed before mumbling, “Does Papa think about us? I don’t even remember him…”
Amelia cupped his cheek and rubbed his cheekbone with her thumb as she said, “Of course he does, baby. I’m pretty sure you’re father is wondering if you’re doing okay.”
Years 8-10 — 🏹
Rumors we’re flying over the borders of the war would someday, somehow come to an abrupt ending. But then again, they were rumors. Amelia likes to say how this felt like the homestretch of it all.
She was considerably older now and grimace at the thought of getting older with the side of the bed remaining empty. There were days where she’d awakened to the sound of birds and servants voices, realizing that she on Nikolai’s side of the bed instead of her own. She will never admit it, because it felt wrong to say it, but having a bed all to herself felt pretty good sometimes. She was used to it by now, despite the odd feeling of not having a proper pair of arms wrapped around her in the morning.
Things had their routine by now.
Wake up at a later hour, lying in bed for a bit before crawling out of the bedroom to greet her son and mother in law at the breakfast table. Reading, doing some simple chores—yes, they had servants in the palace but she liked putting her clothes away as well—actives such as darts, entering the garden and taking her time to get her hair done. At some stage in the week, she’ll have a few meetings, taking time to enter the town, participate in a small event of training and greetings folks at the docks.
Sadly, her mother in law, Nikolai’s mother, passed away one night, peacefully in her sleep. Amelia sighed and sniffled, wiping away young Joshua’s tears at his grandmother being gone.
However one afternoon, during year 10, changed things.
Amelia was in the throne room painting, it was a rather strange scene, quiet but pleasant among the chaos of it all. She heard the sound of boots clapping the floor and smiled to see Michelle playfully sitting in her throne, keeping a watchful eye on everything that Amelia didn’t see.
Suddenly the sounds of screams, chatter and the noise of sails came into view—as Amelia put her brush down and gazed out the window. Her eyes doubled in size, seeing the docking of ships slowly approaching the shore. It wasn’t uncommon to have visitors but still.
“Michelle. What’s going on?” Amelia asked, looking between the window and her goddess friend.
Michelle snapped her fingers in realization before saying, “Ah! I knew I needed to tell you something.”
Amelia gestured for her to continue, “Tell me what?”
“That the war ended yesterday afternoon. People are packing up their weapons and crewmen to come back soon.” Michelle explained then pause, “Why are you looking me like that?”
“Because you didn’t say a word.”
“Ohhh right. Well, now you know..”
Michelle stay quietly grumbling about the stupid fact Nikolai and the other soldiers hid in a wooden horse to get the job done. She rolled her eyes in anger and annoyances, knowing she would’ve went in slashing mortals with her sword instead.
Amelia grinned in hope then rushed off to tell Joshua, who was climbing a tree with a few children of servants, in the garden as guards stood by watching the sight. Amelia chuckled at the sight of her son climbing, screaming and laughing with other children his ages.
“Darling, can you come over here for a moment?” She called out, as her gaze followed him jumping down from the branches.
Joshua jumped down and slide over catching him breath, “Yeah, ma?”
Amelia the moment to tell him the news that she just heard, seeing the young boy’s eyes lit up in awe and excitement. He asked if his father was on one of those ships, ready to rush off to the docks to find him.
“Well I don’t know yet but Michelle is here and-”, Amelia started but was cut off rather quickly.
Joshua gasped, “Aunt Michy?!”
Without a second chance to continue her sentence, her son ran off inside to greet the goddess of war, also known as his aunt Michelle.
Amelia smiled to herself that week in anticipation for her husband’s return, only for her smile to slowly fade away as time progressed. It’s been 9 days and he’s still not home?!
“I’mma kill him..” She muttered once in the war room, by Sunday afternoon.
Michelle looked up from chatting with someone when she heard her. She smirked, “You’ll what?”
“What are they doing? Having a party with the people in Troy who didn’t try to kill ‘em?!” Amelia remarked clearly not happy.
Michelle snickered, “Maybe. I usually don’t get to see this side of you. I like it.”
The past few days were an absolute oddball of moments.
Sailors docking their ships, soldiers fighting in the front edges of the garden, friends and relatives gathering around the palace. There were rumors floating around about the possibility recruits skilled men and women to war in Troy.
Most of all? The king of Ithaca had declared himself distracted and busy. Especially after Rochelle has strongly quick thought his mind and told him about the importance of going to Troy. She was a warrior of wisdom and war, made sense. So in response? He decided to keep himself and even faked an injury to not go.
The only thing was that he hasn’t told the missus yet.
When Queen Amelia came into their chamber, dressed in a slick pink nightgown and her hair in long pinned curls. She has finished putting their 5 month old son to bed, when she found him leaning against the railing of the balcony. Just like when they were younger, thankfully he hasn’t tried jumping, yet. Nikolai was staring at the stars above when he felt a hand on his lower back, he looked up to see his wife.
“There’s my girl.” He greeted her with a light smile. “As beautiful as ever,
She returned the smile, “Hey. Everything alright? It’s chilly out here, come inside.”
“In a moment.”
“You didn’t answer my question. You alright?”
Nikolai held back a couple of thoughts, he wasn’t sure how to respond to the question. His beloved wife noticed, as she leaned backwards against the railing to get a glimpse at his face. He knew that he had been watching the skies above for answers from the stars. Not alas, he had none.
How do you tell your wife you’re supposed to head off to war in a few days?
“No, no I’m not.” He told her, “Rochelle came over earlier today telling me about the current situation. You know, the war at Troy?”
Amelia nods and sighs, “Yes I know. What about it?”
“Well, apparently a few warriors are leading soldiers to fight and reclaim Helen. And I’m well…”
“You’re asked to join…”
Nikolai nods seemingly as he watches her face drop in disappointment. Neither one of them could imagine this. He didn’t even want to think of leaving his sweet boy alone.
“That’s why you’ve been busy all week long.” Amelia figured, chewing on her lower lip.
He nods with a sigh, taking her hand within his and pressing a soft kiss against her knuckled.
“I thought if I came up with plenty of reasons not to go, I’d be lucky enough to stay..” He explained, “Darling, believe me, I don’t want to go ahead with this trip and—”
“Go.” Amelia suddenly said noting the surprise expression on his face before explaining, “You’re a skilled fighter, my love, and a warrior of honor. Yes, it’ll hurt not having you home, but I can try and manage things here.”
“Amelia, no…”
“Nikolai, yes.”
“I don’t want to leave you or our son. Matter a fact, our friends and relatives…”
“You’ll have a team of skilled players in the field, some of whom are your friends..”
He saw the determination and understanding in her eyes as he smiled. He thanked every day he found himself with a woman who was willing to give him a chance. He had it hard enough growing up and he knew that he got lucky.
“Who knows how long this war may last.” He remarked, with a dry chuckle.
She shrugged and chuckled, “A possible four years? If your luck, you can sneak back and see me every single week.”
“Don’t tempt me, woman.”
Amelia smirked, “Besides, it’s a 6 day trip. You’ll be home soon after.”
Nikolai smirked pulling her closer, “I’ll be counting the days.”
“You’re lucky you got Rochelle as your goddess friend, and not Michelle.” Amelia joked.
“Don’t remind me, Michelle has to be the grumpiest woman in all of Mount Olympus.” Nikolai teased.
“How does Rochelle love her, we may never know..”
The two laughed.
~~~
MEANWHILE On Mount Olympus…
Rochelle and Michelle were sound asleep when Michelle snapped awake.
“Somebody is talking about me again!” Michelle said, sitting up straight and looked around with wide eyes.
Rochelle, who was asleep wearing a sleeping mask, grumbled, “For the 3rd time this week, no one is speaking your name!”
