Imagery is the way that words are strung together.
Imagery is plucking the right needled from the haystack in your brain.
Imagery gives the words depth.
Imagery allows readers to not only read, but see and live the moment.
Imagery makes a readers river after they plunge into the dark frigid depths of the Arctic Sea.
Imagery makes readers cry when their favorite character dies, even though that character has never breathed.
Imagery puts paint on an otherwise bland canvas.
Imagery is the glue that makes things interesting.
Imagery is a magnet, magnetizing the words on the page that you just can’t help being drawn to the next.
Imagery is hard. It is difficult to describe the rich details from your brain and designate mere words for a vision. So instead you must fit them together. You must string them up and let the readers walk through the strands.
Imagery is like a lock. You can have all the numbers but it won’t work until you put them in the right order. You must find the right order to most accurately display your thoughts on the page. Otherwise the puzzle is missing pieces.
Imagery is finally finding the lost puzzle piece.
