these get reposted a whole lot from here to reddit to twitter to tiktok and on and on, and i don't personally care whether or not i'm credited. i made these for everyone to use, enjoy, and find meaning in them. i appreciate folks who do credit me, but if able, please at least link to the threadless shop in the previous post - folks can get an official shirt where 90% of earnings go to trans led orgs focused on mental health (which is an important matter in general, but very personal to me) and not from a scam bot site selling AI-churned maga garbage where you probably won't get one anyway. i also suggest downloading the files from my ko-fi - they are free/PWYW and you can use them to make your own shirt, patch, embroidery project, whatever. tips are always nice, cuz i do like a pizza now and then, but never required for download.

i hate that androgyny and masculinity are so intertwined. if you look like a girl and you're enby, you're forced to dress masc. if you look like a guy and you're enby, you're not allowed to dress fem. no matter what, you have to follow this bullshit set of rules that no one can actually explain to you, but you will feel ashamed if you ever break them. you must walk a line that is so blurry no one else notices it exists. and there will always be times you fall.

this, too, is misogyny. being masculine is considered the default - appearing feminine makes you a girl, but appearing masculine can mean basically anything else. so how do you fight it? walk away from that line. wear whatever you want. move however you want. don't train your voice to fit some stupid binary unless it will make you happy. don't bind your chest unless it makes you more comfortable. don't take estrogen unless it will help you love your body.

there is no right way to be trans. there is no right way to be nonbinary. and there is no right way to be cis. there is only YOUR way.

“Why are people dropping they/them from profiles” “a lot of people have stopped being nonbinary” “i feel like a lot of people i knew who were nonbinary identify differently suddenly” its the violent exorsexism in larger society and within queer communities that happens like clockwork when there is a rise in anti-queer, anti-trans bigotry.

When fascism spikes, we get a two-fold where folks who cannot or will not assimilate are pushed by our oppressors to reconsider, and fellow queer/trans folks become some of the most aggressive enforcers of that “choice” in an attempt to buy safety within the majority.

This shit is why inter-community discourse is not just petty complaints—the refusal to hold solidarity with the weirdest, loudest, most visible queers in our midst is fascist as well as self-destructive. People are being forced into the closet, forced into labels that make others—including queer and trans people—more comfortable, because comfort and conformity becomes the biggest priority for many when shit hits the fan. And these are the scenarios that dont end up with nonbinary people dead.

You are abandoning the most vulnerable while preaching about privileges, and this saboteur mentality will not even ultimately save you when eventually you are either forced to learn that you do not fit how you thought you did or our oppressors shift the goalposts until even your presentation of sexuality and gender are not “normal” enough anymore.

Cute how people who say this shit dont say transphobia doesnt exist just because shitty parents might kick out a trans kid because they think it's because they're gay. It's all terrible and parents being bigoted and neglectful and abusive. 1) Stop equating sexuality to behavior. Don’t do it with gay people, don’t do it for ace people.

2) Faith based groups, especially those who are not pro-LGBTQ don’t magically see aces as acceptable. They view them as not-straight therefore wrong.

3) If you are abstinent it’s supposed to be a sacrifice you suffer through to show your strong faith. Sex is meant to be your reward for being married. Being abstinent in a faith based groups works until you are meant to get married, be fruitful, or summit to your husband. The moment you decide you don’t want any of that for yourself now or in the future it’s a seen as a problem.

4) You’ll note that lots of number 3 is sexism, sex negativity, and the forced continuation of nuclear families something that directly and indirectly adds to homophobia and transphobia. And instead of saying “hey this ace, this victim of abuse, gives us an opportunity to discuss all of those wrongs in society, plenty of people just reblog “but why would you kick a virgin out??”

fun fact! testosterone is what we call a Controlled Substance, meaning as long as i'm on it, i have to check in with my provider every 3 months. not recommended, not optional, mandatory. insurance doesn't cover any gender affirming care, so i have to pay for these appointments out of pocket. luckily i qualify for a discount, so i only have to pay $265 instead of $528. a 3-month supply of testosterone (12 single-use vials) is $116.71. so every 3 months i have to pay $381.71. that's WITH DISCOUNTS. not including the needles, syringes, sharps container, and alcohol wipes needed to actually administer the injection (all of which i can thankfully buy in bulk online for cheaper). so the next time anyone says trans men aren't oppressed for being men, they owe me $381.71
