Nothing makes my skin crawl more then ‘Jiang Cheng wants Lan Sizhui as his nephew’ posts like has this child not suffered enough. What is with JC stans thinking that after murdering Wen Yuan’s family, being part of the mob that burned Wen Qing to death, actively trying to murder Wen Ning multiple times and cursing every Wen and dehumanising them as a ‘Wen-dog’, now JC is going to be an uncle figure to Wen Yuan and even deserves it somehow and the book is evil for not letting it happen.
How many mental hoops do you have to jump through to place your hands on Lan Sizhui and force uncle Jiang Cheng on him like it’s not the most nightmare of scenarios and still a toss up if he would try to kill Lan Sizhui if he knew he was a Wen canonically. He certainly hasn’t stopped attacking Wen Ning even when the extras ended.
Jiang Cheng cant even stop violently slapping Jin Ling so hard he hits the ground and the expectation is that he’s going to be a caring figure to a Wen??
And this isn’t even getting into the whole idea of Jiang Cheng treating Lan Sizhui as a nephew when he doesn’t treat Wei Wuxian as a brother and has been aggressively homophobic to both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji to the point WWX qi deviated and said he never wants to come back to Lotus Pier ever again. It’s like a multi-level fantasy of fanon that gets worse with each level.
