A lot of people seem to think that to be colonial, it needs to:

1: Spread the English language around. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll also accept Spanish and French as languages spread by colonialism. In that order of likeliness of recognition.

2: Settle white (including light skinned non-white) people in non-white (limited only to non-white people with darker skin) areas.

3: Engage in the transatlantic slave trade.

4: Alternatively, have been Roman. And then it's a good thing, for some reason.

well, at least Jester got the treat of Fjord being really hot when jealous.
