I genuinely believe the "vote blue no matter who" mantra is a CORE part of the issues of the democratic party. If they know that all they need to do is be slightly Less Terrible than the republicans and then they'll win, then thats what's gonna be done. I very very seriously considered sitting out the vote this year for the first time in nearly 10 years.

Sorry y'all, but both sides ARE bad, and we need to be right there with the younger generation acknowledging that. The REASON this rhetoric works to stop us from voting is because we're supposed to give a shit about the policy our representatives enact, (or do /not/ enact despite campaign promises) not the party letter on the voting ballot.

I wish I had something actionable to end this with but, idk y'all, it is up to the democratic party to LISTEN to the pushback and the increasing voter disinterest and make changes to cater to the people.

i think what ppl who don't like cats do not understand is a cat will scuffle with u even if it likes u. sometimes more. a cat biting you or kicking you isn't because they hate u its because they are little predator animals and they like to play. they're also 2 feet tall and don't have hands and their mouth is the only thing they can Get Stuff with and it's full of tiny razor teeth. not their fault!!

my whole bit with Memphis was making him an unlikable gay. like, an actual shit person who's misogynistic and selfish, but uses his gayness as a shield, because i think those people do exist and are hard to write because there's the line of not wanting to portray that kind of character homophobically while still making him terrible in every facet of his being.

the point where he says "come on shadow, dont you support gay rights?", the whole arc where after he fucked up he blamed shadow as his crazy ex, his air of believing he's so much more intelligent than those around him that he supposedly sees as equals, and specifically his disdain for women in every scene he shares with them are all circumstances that came from that core idea.

Actually, my therapist has told me this is a healthy way of processing things. Because you can get the trauma out of your head And you can write the ending you wish it had. The trusted person rescue, the catharsis of getting to kill the one who hurt you.

It's good for your brain. It's healthier than bottling it up. Fiction is where we go for emotional release. That can be true with trauma too.
