scars are normal. scars are a physical proof of your body’s ability to heal. scars make it known that you’re alive. you’re marked by life. the raised scars, the keloids, the scars people stare at you for. they’re a visual map of your life & nothing more. scars have no morality scars don’t reflect on the morality of your existence. media loves to portray scars on monsters and villains and leave the heroes to be unmarred, but that narrative does not apply to real life. you’re a whole human being worthy of being seen, loved, respected.
There is a lot of talk about how trans men can be allies to the women in their life. And this is correct.
(There is also a lot of talk to how trans men are "good because we know what its like." I've heard us called "life hacks" for cis women, which is a whole other dehumanizing thing)
But there has been very little talk about how others can be allies to trans men. It seems like conversations start and end at how we can serve other people, and do not extend to how we can be provided with the support we desperately need. It is like people dont view trans men as an actual set of people, much less marginalized people.
Just a friendly reminder that, as of 2024, there are only 8 trans men in government positions in the US.
8. Out of 519,682 elected officials in the United States.
That is less than .5%.
That is less than .05%
That is less thsn .005%.
That is 0.00154% of ALL elected officials in the US.
Keep in mind, trans men make up about .03% of the US population.
We are largely underrepresented, not only in our community, but in the government as well. We dont have any say in politics outside of voting and citizen-lead measures.
We are one of the least represented gender identities in the US (Alongside Two Spirit people, which there are 2 government officials, and gender identities labled as "Other", which there are 5 of.)

Just saw someone say that half the appeal of omegaverse was watching a man go through the same thing as what women do every day. As if trans men don't exist and go through like all of it every day all the time.....
the omegaverse shit is basically just fetishizing the idea and aesthetics of trans men while being exclusionary and hateful to trans men who actually experience this shit irl. mpreg and omegaverse shit can be fun and ethical kink wise but we need to center trans men in this discussion as the people primarily affected by both the fetishization of male pregnancy/men who can get pregnant, and forced pregnancy in general
Transmascs of the world I need you to not be sad and instead be really fucking angry. Do you remember when you were like 8 or something and first realized that the adults around you had way way higher expectations for you than they did for the little boys and you felt more angry than you’d ever felt before. I need you to channel that instead of letting the sadness eat you. And I need you to go eat a mango.
Hello, in light of @/transmascvoicesproject well... Existing as the transmisogynistic sockpuppet blog that it is, I've decided to make a blog dedicated to violent experiences transgender people have experienced. Any transgender person. Any violent experience.
Do not send an ask if you are perisex-cis; if you are intersex and consider yourself along the transgender spectrum or align with transgender experiences you're more than welcome to share your story, however intersex–specific experiences will not be the focus of this blog.
No infighting or discourse of any kind allowed. This is for all transgender voices. No exceptions.
Mod can be referred to as 🌀. No further information about me is required.
All posts will be trigger tagged as I see fit, if you feel I've not appropriately tagged something please tell me.
Bad–faith/Bait asks will be promptly deleted. Please do not ruin the chance for transgender people to share their stories.
Just in case this needs to be said: "transgender" applies to transfeminine, transmasculine and transneutral people; trans women, trans men, and non-binary (+) people.
I encourage people to use anon if they are scared to share their experience.
Before you make a joke about 'getting that man pregnant' or about male pregnancy in general, ask yourself:
Would this joke be funny if it was about a woman?
If it would feel like sexual harrassment, then congratulations, it's not a joke, it is just sexual harrassment.
If it would just be misogynistic (ie framing pregnancy as a sign of weakness/submissiveness, as a punishment, ect), then it is not only regular misogynistic but also treats trans men and mascs experiences as inherently feminine.
If there would be no joke at all, then the existence and experiences of trans men and mascs is the punchline. I hope you can see the problems with that.
Just met a trans man who's going on T because he specifically wants to be bald and i'm afraid to say i think i'm just never gonna meet anyone cooler than that ever again
Every day I act a lil more like my father and I wonder how he still manages to have such an influence on my behavior despite never really being in my life.
