the end credits of Brand New Day got me thinking about how this film would have been the perfect opportunity for the mcu to introduce photography for tom holland’s peter parker. we find him in a period of his life where he’s observing life rather than participating in it and i just think in the depths of his loneliness, he could have found photography. he loves his city but alienates himself from it - he is invisible to everyone. having him hide, even when he’s peter parker, behind a camera rather than a mask, could have further emphasised his isolation. give me a homemade darkroom, give me a series of candids of people just being happy that reek of envy, give me the angles of new york that only he gets to see. those end credit photographs could have been his.

yknow the story of odysseus tricking polyphemus by giving him a fake name and then blinding him is great, but i think a lot of people really sleep on the hilarious fact that, after odysseus reveals his name to polyphemus and polyphemus remembers the prophecy that a man named odysseus would blind him, polyphemus is like “WOW when i heard that prophecy i thought odysseus was going to be tall and sexy and strong but turns out you’re just short and an asshole”
