You have fundamentally misunderstood Bruce's character, If you do not 100% know what Bruce would say in any of these instances.

Any iteration of....

"B can we skip patrol cause I....."

"Dad can we...."

"Bruce I was thinking instead of...."

"Baba I want to....."

Bruce Wayne is throwing off his bat-suit running to the car, fishing his wallet out because his children don't want to fight crime today. This is the best day of his fucking life.

The thing I feel like is forgotten Bruce does not want any of these children to be vigilantes.

This fact is very much forgotten.

If all of them decided tomorrow to never get a fucking job, never go to college live completely off Bruce's money, but also never be a vigilante again. Bruce Wayne is throwing a parade that has not been seen since Alexander The Great lost his boyfriend.

Bruce would have a house filled with like 30 year old children who eat his food and refuse to never work a day in their lives and he would absolutely love it because they are not risking themselves.

He would skip patrol no questions asked.

In fanfictions I always see a moment of them like trying to convince Bruce to take a night off or they need a break or whatever.

Bruce, who is not absolutely butchered by a writer is actively burning down the Batcave because dick said he's just not feeling this vigilante thing anymore.

Bruce Wayne will never skip patrol or being Batman by his own decision or for his own benefit.

Throw one of his kids in it and he is just Bruce Wayne.

times i cried while reading supergirl woman of tomorrow (but im a crybaby):

- the scene where she teachs ruthye how to wash her hands. specifically the very beginning "and it began -- as most things begin when you're dealing with supergirl -- with a moment of kindness"

- the scene when she is getting ruthy bye ready to fly for the first time in maypole

- "he was a good friend, flarrgg, like houndmates."

- the grave digging scene and i didnt stop crying until they got to the planet where supergirl watches the tapes of the brigand

- the whole bit where marye talks about how she believes supergirl lives in pain -- "and then she'd ask you if you need any help."

I'm gonna be honest i cried through the majority of the last half. there were not meaningful enough gaps in between my crying to really mention LMAO. i did stop crying around when the fight with the brigand started, but started crying again when krem revealed ruthye's father was not killed for being disloyal, but rather for being too loyal. jesus.

I could never own a parrot. They are splendid and delightful joyful creatures but I could not match their fucking whimsy. If I woke up at 4:45 am on a tuesday to the sound of some gleeful feather-cloaked varmint doing aerial somersaults all over the house while singing the world's most high-pitched whistle nightcore one-man a capella cover of Funkytown, I'd eat it.

watched Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy for the first time and WOW the dark knight is such a good movie oh my god

the other two are fine

unfortunately the second movie is so good it kinda ruins the cohesiveness of the trilogy a bit

batman begins was fun! nice introduction to ballet as Batman. i liked seeing him kinda struggle to find his footing.

dark knight rises had some interesting ideas, but i didn't love the execution on all of them. Joseph Gordon leavitt was great as a robin character. the villains cast is fun, i liked crane coming back for the court scenes. but i watched this movie immediately after the dark knight, which i think was a bit of a disservice to it lol

the dark knight has a great villain roster in dent and the joker. i mean... duh lol. it's the joker. this movie has my favorite opening of the trilogy - the robbery scene was immediately exciting. its fun to see a more experienced bruce. there were other points in the trilogy where i felt some scenes start to drag on, or overstay their welcome. that never really happened in this movie. it uses its run time to the fullest, without feeling over stuffed. this movie truly lived up to the hype wowowowow
