One Week Countdown!
One week from today I join the losers bench. I can not put into words how freaking excited I am! I’m also insanely nervous. I haven’t been nervous for the past 5 weeks, but I woke up this morning scared out of my mind. I know this is the right decision for me. I’m just a little anxious for the whole process.
One more week to go..then I’ll be on the other side.

Rudeness
I think it’s so incredibly rude for fitblrs to say things like “I lost weight on my own no crazy surgery for me” like okay? Does it make you feel better to put WLS patients down? If you’ve struggled with your weight how can you not understand my desire to lose weight any way me and my doctor deem healthy? Don’t you know the pain/struggle of being overweight or obese? Is it because you’re jealous that you didn’t get the benefit of the tool I did? Can you not sympathize with me? No you have to put me down to feel better about yourself, how sad for you, that your happiness is so fragile.
Things I'm looking forward to..
1) Not having to have an oversized bath towel to wrap all the way around me. 2) Not having to buy beach towels for two people just so I fit on it. 3) Not needing a seat belt extender on flights. 4) Not getting anxious going to movies and having to sit next to someone. 5) Not fitting it chairs, booths, bar stools, doors, or walkways. 6) Not damaging furniture. 7) Getting up and down easily. 8) Not hiding from pictures. 9) getting to ride rides. 10) Really getting to live.
Half-Way Mark
Today marks the half way pre op mark. I’m three weeks down my pre-op diet and three weeks to the day from surgery.
Things are going really well so far.
The diet isn’t bad at all. I do miss a few things now and then, but for the most part I’m not interested in any of that other stuff anymore. Thats how I now I’ve made the right decision at the right time for me.
The weight isn’t coming off as quickly as it did the first week, but it’s moving. The inches are coming off too. I know weight fluctuates and my water intake affects it, as does lifting weights and upping my cardio. I’m trying to be positive because I know I’m still moving in the right direction.
I’m getting anxious for the surgery. It’s my first and I’m not really worried, I’m just ready for it to be here and done with. I’m hoping thats normal.
Cheers to the next three weeks, may they fly by!

Pre-Op Day 3
So. The mental side of things started taking a toll on me last night, but I refused to let it. I woke up today feeling positive and ready to conquer the world. I decided to weigh even though it’s only been two full days on the pre-op diet. I expected to see a pound or so loss, but I saw 5!!!! 5 pounds in 2 days! I couldn’t believe it! I needed this. I needed to see it start working.
I got this!

Okay Pre-op. We got this.
No starches. No sugar. No fruit. No dairy. No soda. No caffeine. Six weeks.
Reblog if you started worrying about your weight before you were fourteen.
Meh.
I’m about 6 weeks out from surgery and I’m so damn impatient. I want this SO badly and I’m so ready. I love seeing everyone else’s post about how much they’ve lost, but I want it. I’m so ready to have this tool and start using it. I want the weight to be coming off, I want to be more active, I want my clothes to get bigger and bigger. I want this life I have chosen and I just wish it was happening sooner.
Hi there.
Welcome to my new blog! I’m not new to tumblr, I’ve had a few blogs for about five years now. I’m not as active on those anymore, but this is a new chapter in my life and I want to share it. I have chosen to not tell many people that I know personally. I don’t want the opinions or judgement of others. I do need to talk about it, and so this blog was born.
Since I don’t want people to find out, I’ll be going by LC on this blog! (:
I’m 23 and from Georgia, born and raised. I’ve struggled with my weight since I was about five years old, in kindergarten. I’ve tried everything under the sun, I’ve even been hypnotized, and nothing works; at least not long term. I have so may hopes, wants, and dreams and I can’t achieve them because of my weight. I’m classified as morbidly obese. This isn’t where I want to be or who I want to be.
I’ve made the decision to get weight loss surgery (WLS) and have chosen the gastric sleeve. I will make a whole post about how and why I have chosen that particular surgery. I unfortunately do not have an insurance that will cover the procedure. Surgeons in my area are charging in excess of $75,000 for the surgery, and money doesn’t grow on tress yall. I’m not looking to be in debt for the rest of my life at 23, and I can’t afford that. So after a lot and I mean a lot of research and talking to others who have had or are having surgery I have made my appointment for Mexico. I know I know, everyone hears horror stories about Mexico, but trust me I and my family put a lot of research into this and I am 100% confident in the center and the doctor that I have chosen.
Now you may be asking if you can’t afford the surgery in the United States, how can you afford it other places. Well the price difference is significantly less and covers a whole lot more. I’ll be paying less that $10,000.
I’ve created this blog as a place that I can talk freely, be open, honest and not judged. Please allow that for me. If you’ve never struggled with weight loss you may not understand.
That’s all for now. There will be many more posts coming soon. Follow my journey!
One day until six week pre-op!
