“Does this mean I can volunteer again?” His face mockingly resembled one of a pleading child, asking their parents for a candy bar. “Now that I am single man?” Shane couldn’t help it. A breath of laughter puffed out of his mouth, and he dropped his head in exasperation. Ilya’s chuckle rumbled in front of him, and Shane reached up to smooth out one of his eyebrows, still fighting down his laughter. He looked back up at him, giving a tiny roll of his eyes, “Yes, you can volunteer.” Ilya’s face was full of satisfaction.

I can never tell if they’re actually fighting, playing or,” she clears her throat and blushes, “or getting frisky.” David opens his mouth, then closes it because honestly…he can’t tell either. Shane had accidentally given Ilya a bloody nose the last time they wrestled and they just had to go home to get a Ilya a new shirt and which made sense at the time but now….huh. “I think boys will be boys. Even the queer ones.” David replies but then Ilya has Shane is a headlock and Ilya’s saying something to him as Shane tries to squirm out of his grip and-

“but I do think they’ll be heading home soon.” David chuckles.

Ilya Rozanov stood at the threshold, immediately locking his eyes on Shane’s as the door swung open. He had traded his normal carline athleisure for a fitted short-sleeve button-up shirt, dark jeans, and black shoes. His familiar sunglasses were perched on top of his head, and he must have just placed them up there, tangled in his wild curls, as his hand was being slowly lowered from the top of his head. Shane breathed out, still a bit winded from lugging the boxes around, holding the door open as he stared at Ilya, “You’re early.”

does anyone have any fic recs where Shane has Hudsons personality but Ilya is still the same 🙏🙏 PLEASE

cause like that would be beautiful to read - like the angst would be fabulous because that Shane would infuriate Ilya in the best way possible - the chirps would be legendary and the rivalry would be glorious, especially cause of how unhinged the interviews would be.

it would also HAVE to be an enemies to lover but not really - think of Kate and Anthony from Bridgerton vibes ( you're the bane of my existance and the object of all my desires )

Alsooo bonus points if Shane all cocky and whatnot but is actually a virgin, so like keep those parts the same because again it would be so sweet for Ilya when he realises that hockeys Golden boy THE Shane Hollander - the same one that knows exactly how to make every head turn and knows exactly how to charm his way around and is someone you'd assume has had plenty of experience

{ im being picky with this so if anyone decides to actually write this or smth you can ignore this - but the way that they charm people has to be different if that makes sense, sort of how Hudson's charm comes from being very unhinged and intense almost whereas Ilya's comes from being kinda coy and thats what will make their dynamic really sexy }

( i'm well aware that this is completely different to canon Shane, but then again, we're not dealing with the actual Shane)
