This blog post is happiness and ways to be happy. I will be talking about from my person experience, like many other people I unfortunately suffer from depression, although it’s getting ‘better’ I have learnt a few ways to make me happier. ☆ Being happy means you are in the feeling of pleasure or contentment. Ways To Be A Happier Person: 1.) Cut people out who make you unhappy or simply people who don’t make you feel good about yourself. As clique as that sounds, cutting toxic people out is healthy. We are meant to be surrounded by people who make us happy. The best way to do this is, delete any forms of contact and don’t give an explanation as this will lead to arguments. Instead surrounded yourself with people who love you, your family, cousins, friends. 2.) Find A New Hobby: Finding a new hobby may be hard at first, but the hunt for discovering something new will pay off! It will distract you from the negative things in your life and will let you focus on what you love, as well as learning new skills. Examples of hobbies to consider: ☼ Photography- you don’t need a fancy camera, use your phone, take pictures of what you love, even start a photography account on tumblr or Instagram to watch your progress ☼ Read new books - you will learn more + very calming! ☼ Art: draw, paint, scrap book ☼ Start a blog, write about your emotions! The list is endless which proves there is something for everyone! 3.) Help Other People: When I was at my worst last year, I decided to find a job and also volunteer in my community, this was rewarding because you know you’ve made a difference! This has also given me a good reputation for when applying to new schools, so this will benefit you! Giving back can give you a self-esteem boost, you will also make new friends along the way! Finding happiness by helping others is a good way to find inner-peace, feeling thankful & give you a sense of belonging! 4.) Do Things You Already Love: You may not have done something you love in a while, doing it may bring back better memories or happier times or simply make you feel calmer. As long as you get to do the things you love every once in a while, you will find greater happiness. 5.) Staying Calm: When your body is stressed, it moves into survivor mode, therefore it is important to keep you body calm which will keep you content with yourself and therefore make you feel happier. There are may various ways of doing this: -Meditate / exercise -Colour -Listen to calming music -Watch an old tv show you like -Treat yourself (eating something you like) -Drink Tea; as studies show drinking tea helps calm the body.
Quote of the the day ↑ <3
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone! If you are alone today, just know that you are loved and appreciated! Most importantly love yourself because you are enough and you are great, look after yourself everyday, do everything you can to make yourself happy every single day.
Exam season or studying in general can be quite stressful, it is important to be prepared so you can avoid late night, last minute revision. Here are some tips and tricks on how to study effectively: 1.) Know Your Learning Style: • Rewrite notes as mind-maps • Use Colour to highlight important facts • Draw diagrams and sketches to help you remember points If You Are An Auditory Learner: • Read your notes aloud • Record yourself reading key points to listen back to • Revise with a group of friends • Sing key points If Your Are A Reader & Writer Learner: • Copy your notes again • Read over old notes • Rewrite key points using different styles (in different phrases or in different colour) • Try to write key points from memory & test yourself If Your An Active Learner: • Move around the room or carry out an activity as you revise, for example; running while revising key points • Mentally year yourself while you are exercising to see what you remember 2.) Create A Routine: • Make revision a routine, and avoid simply re-reading notes: • Study a section of your notes, and memorise the essential points • Hide your notes, and try to write down everything you can remember • Check what you've written against your notes note don what you got wrong, or forgot, and learn them summarise essential points. Use these to make flash cards, and make a different ones for each topic: take these with you to revise on the go for effective revision. 3.) Plan Ahead: • Make a revision timetable • Set yourself revision targets and goals • Use a checklist to follow your progress • Aim to have revision completed one week before the exam starts to give yourself flexibility, some rest and some extra time to focus on harder points • Aim to balance your time between subjects you're most confident and least confident about 4.) Use Old Exam Papers: • Use as many old exam papers as you can to practice • Note the questions that come up, and their themes and frequency • Time yourself to get used to exam conditions 5.) Look After Yourself: You are not alone! • Reward Yourself: Celebrate targets you have reached, good results and progress (to keep yourself motivated) mark your progress on a revision plan or a checklist to visibly see what you have achieved • Use your time effectively, remove all distractions and structure your day • Give yourself regular breaks to help with concentration and productivity, avoiding procrastination • Get active during your breaks to rest your mind and keep your body moving! • Try to keep up a healthy diet and take breaks for meals • Limit your caffeine intake - tea and coffee can increase anxiety levels and make it hard to rest • Get plenty of rest the night before an exam, and avoid last-minute revision during the night EXTRA TIPS: -Eat well & stay hydrated : even if your not hungry try eat something healthy and drink water before the exam - Trust Yourself : Try avoid over thinking & avoid discussing answers with others as it may make you feel more nervous or confused -Be Prepared: Arrive at your exam in good time or earlier. Always vary pens and spare pens in a clear pencil case as well as bringing a calculator, ruler, pencil, pencil sharper, highlighter and preferably two coloured pens -Always read the instructions on your exam paper -Calm your nerves
Beyond grateful it is Friday! This week has been tiring, long and eventful to say at the very least. School is really dragging me down so I feel like I have well achieved this weekend off! Although it’s still going to be quite eventful as I am travelling on Monday and I’ve kinda left packing last minute due to school and other duties/responsibilities. It’s still weird to think that I will be travelling alone on Monday, I’m quite nervous!
I’ll be taking the weekend off to relax and have some me time. I’m hoping to catch up on some 📺 shows (riverdale in particular) and make more blog graphics, also finishing up some work. Oh and also 💤! Because 💤 is important!

This post is about self care, self love & positivity: This week in particular I have learnt that self care is very important, and how self care can affect other factors for example of you are calm you more able to get things done whereas if you are stressed you tend to put things off. So here are some tips on how to relax a little: 1.) Stay Hydrated: A healthy person needs 2 litres of water per day. Drinking water is crucial to staying healthy and maintaining the function of every system in your body, including your heart, brain, and muscles. 2.) Take A Shower: Hot showers can relieve tension and soothe stiff muscles. Studies have shown that taking a hot shower can amp up your oxytocin levels and ease anxiety. 3.) Listen to Soothing Music: Music can reduce stress. Music can have a profound effect on both the emotions and the body. Faster music can make you feel more alert and mconcentrate better. Upbeat music can make you feel more optimistic and positive about life. A slower tempo can quiet your mind and relax your muscles, making you feel soothed while releasing the stress of the day. Music is effective for relaxation and stress management. Listen to music in the morning after waking up, giving a positive outlook on the day ahead and listen to music in the evening to ease off. 4.) Take Naps: Taking Between 15-90 minute naps a day can improve the brain function, it will help increase memory, increase patience as well as improving creativity, however the main benefit of taking a nap is that it will improve mood and anxiety levels 5.) Having a clean environment: A clean bedroom makes you happier. If your room is clean, you're more likely to exercise. Making your bed every morning creates feelings of accomplishment and positivity. Your mindset will also be ‘cleaned’ in the sense that there won’t be a constant worry that your environment isn’t tidy. You will feel less stressed and less distracted. This means you can spend some relaxing time before bed and go to sleep calmly. 6.) Writing and Creativity: Writing about emotions may ease stress and trauma. Writing about emotion or taking out your pain on paper will make you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and therefore making you feel more relaxed. As well as planning/making todo lists in a planner or any notebook, as studies show you will be less paranoid. I would recommend: Adult colouring books such as - Secret Garden -Bullet Journaling -Making Daily Todo List: you will feel more accomplished 7.) Take Care Of Your skin: When you are stressed, skin will tend to break out, to prevent this from happening take care of your skin by: -Seeking our healthier foods rather than unhealthier options, for example: swap crisps for carrot sticks -Drink green tea: not only beneficial for soothing skin but also beneficial for organs inside your body. -Swap face scrubs for foamy face washes, face scrubs are harsher on the skin and will lead to more pimples appearing under the skin. Face wash recommendation: Body Shop Aleo foam wash -Cleanse, Tone Moisturise - Use lip balm regularly -Use eye cream to prevent and reduce puffiness and bags under the eyes -lastly, use a night serum to reduce redness of the skin. 8.) Phone Detox: Taking a break from electronics to take care of yourself is important! Whether it’s for short time or a long time, take time off your phone, laptop, tablet etc. This will relax the mind, lower anxiety levels and you will be happier. Best way to start a phone detox is setting a time to check your phone only once a day, for example 6pm. Do not use your phone before you sleep as it can affect eyesight and sleep. 9.) Walk It Out: Walking is good for your health, as fresh air is good for the digestive system, improves heart heart and will make you happier. The more fresh air you get, the more oxygen you will breathe which will increase the amount of serotonin (the happy hormone) you inhale, consequently making you happier. Nature is proven to improve mental well being 10.) Entertainment: You can improve your mood by doing the simplest thing such as watching your favourite movie.
08/02/2018 Hello ! So today was pretty stressful, I’ve been quite tired all day and that’s lead me to being quite emotional all day, but I pushed through and still managed to study. I then treated myself to a smoothie and scrap booked for a while to put my mind at rest for a while. Other than that my day was pretty boring, it’s currently 10:30pm and I’m debating or not if I should watch riverdale now or later /: Oh I also watched the sunrise this morning, it was beautiful

Welcome to another post!
It’s Wednesday which means we’re half way through the week and it’s almost the weekend! I am so ready for the weekends and just to catch up on some sleep.
On one of my previous posts I mentioned that I had to a chemistry test, my results came through today and I’m pleased to say I’m relatively happy with the grade I was given considering it wasn’t my best subject and didn’t get to revise as much as I would’ve liked to, it made me realise that I believe in myself then thing will go right, hence today’s quote of the day (:
That’s it for now!

06/02/2018 Writing this blog post for the third time now ): (technical errors) anyway... Hello world, it me...again! I have decided that I am going to do nightly posts and giving you an overview of my day rather than hourly update posts as it would be easier and I wouldn’t like to spam. I’m also trying out this style of blogging, I find it super cute and more my aesthetic, let me know what you think! Anyway other than it snowing all day, today has been a regular Tuesday. As mentioned in one of my previous posts, I am a full time student which means I am in school five days of the week (unfortunately) school wasn’t that great, I’ve quite down about what I’m going to do in the future and it hasn’t put me in the best mood today... On the upside of things, I have been very active on Instagram (berry_yellow_) and I’m getting a lot of lovely comments from people on my images and so many dms about how they’re loving my posts on Instagram, reading things like that make my heart absolutely melt! So thank you of your one of those people, it has lifted my mood today! That’s about it for today (: goodbye -m. x
