This Blog is dedicated to posting updates for "Bignose's Home" a comic based on a lifegen playthrough with premade characters!

This comic will follow the general style of other Clangen comics, however the comic will most likely span over 18 moons, so it will not be a long term clangen comic, but will instead tell a story with a planned arc from the start!

Bignose's Origins:

Bignose appears in my previous comic @whispering-clan HOWEVER all events in the Whisperingclan comic are NO LONGER CANON as it is being rewritten! Bignose and his clan are no longer a part of Whisperingclan's story and Whisperingclan will not be in this comic. I wanted the chance to explore Bignose's story on its own and to it's full potential!

Bignose as a character originated before Whisperingclan and has been an OC of mine for a while, along with his mother and brother! He is one of my most beloved characters and I am very exited to give him a story!

Happy Pride Month!

I made some button-style designs for some of the queer characters of Bignose's Home in celebration! There are more but I dont have time to draw all of them, also several of these characters have other queer identities too but I just focused on one for these!

Characters & identities in order: Bigkit - gay but too smol to know that; Marigoldheart - AroAce; Brambleroar/Troublepath - WLW; Crestedstar - Bisexual; Frostcry - Transgender (trans-fem); Peachfuzz/Coppersight - MLM; Fennelpaw - Nonbinary

Ok weird ask but HOW ARE YOU GETTING THOSE PICTURES OF THE FAMILYECHO FAMILY TREE!!! Everytime I make a large tree it ends up covering up characters and I can NEVER get a good picture of the the full thing

at the bottom of the page, click on the print icon, it will open this side bar.

you are going to want to select "complete" if you want the full tree displayed. "partial" and "classic" will make a pdf of just what's being shown at the moment (idk what the difference between the two is tbh). and "multiple" will split up the tree into chunks in the pdf.

then just download the pdf and from there you can convert the pdf into an image.

I should note that if your tree is huge the image is going to be very wide/big , for example ->

i just wanted to thank you for the idea of cats getting their warrior names even if they never make it past kithood-- i accidentally landed myself a whole pile of inter-connecting saves and ended up with two Greenkits and was super worried abt ended up with More Dupe Names but this concept has put those worries straight to bed!! super excited to see more of bignose and friends <3

Yes! I love this idea, I'm certainly not the one who came up with it but I think it works really well for clangen especially! Helps with telling apart starclan kits + apps AND on the side of Clangen comics it let's u tag the chars with their full name from the start without it being a spoiler for whether they survive or not!

Future BH characters spoilers below!

Hey yall trying to finalize some designs for some future dog characters! I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/advice on em. If u don’t want to be spoiled for future big role characters don’t view more!

These guys are both based on brindle dogs but I’m having the hardest time deciding if they look too much like they just have tabby stripes instead :(

This guy is based on a red brindle (rl example next to him)

And this is his dad who is based on a fawn brindle (rl design next to him)

Are these too cat-stripey? I really want to use brindle coats bec they add some diversity to the design options but they need to be simplified enough to replicate + fit the comic style T-T

Anyone have any suggestions? Ofc they don’t need to be realistic but I do want them to look like dog markings and not dogs who unlocked the cat skin

Most detailed: I think it’s the most accurate to irl brindle but too detailed for the style of the comic

Detailed but no underbelly: better maybe? Tbh I think the light belly is prettier but this does register more as brindle + is more simple

Simplified (less markings) more simple, less brindle

Annnd that but no underbelly

Might go with one of the last two or modify the last one a bit idk 🤔

Opinions?

I mean I could just make him look like his mom who is just red sable but I think the stripes r cool 💔
