can't believe the only options are 30 minutes early or 10 minutes late. if only there were some other way. but what can you do
cell phone doesn't like water because it is a combination of the other three elements. it is a rock (earth) that we fill with lightning (fire) that can control radio waves (air). if it contained water too, it would be too perfect; it would be like a god. to prevent this, the universe kills the would be uniter-of-the-elements. it's basic science.
Hey op google what LCD stands for

If you were really my friend you’d do this highly unethical experimental surgery on me

I need fat female characters in tv whose weight is inconsequential. It means nothing to the story.
She's fat and gets the guy and no one bats an eye.
She's fat and the hottest chick in the sorority and that's normal.
She's fat and an actress and she gets good roles.
She's fat and she's funny and she has character depth and growth.
She's fat and the main character and no one mentions her weight once.
I'm fat and my weight doesn't play a part in my day to day conversations, or plans, or friendships. Why can't I have that on tv?
when i can’t tell him our souls are inexplicably linked to one another so i pick a fight with him instead
Transcript:
"My favorite trope is found family."
"Is it? Or is it that your family never accepted you and you had to find your own?" Yes! That's the trope! You are just explaining the trope!
"My favorite trope is when the character finally snaps!"
"Is it, or do you just repress your emotions and wish you too could snap?" Is this a "gotcha"?!
And then everyone in the comments feels genuinely called out. Am I- Am I crazy?! Yeah, you're drawn to media that you relate to emotionally. Is this a groundbreaking observation for people?
I don't wanna hate. You know? But it is starting to make me realize how closely linked media literacy and self-awareness is.
You're just explaining word for word what the trope is and then being like "you like it because you relate to it!" Right?!
Sort of unrelated but it makes me think of the people who genuinely can't tell the difference between a well written character and a not well written character.
Like, they'll see no issue with a character who is written completely without flaws. 'Cause I feel like you have to be aware of your own shortcomings in order to appreciate a character that also messes up.
"I have no idea why that character would do that!"
Really? They... Made it very clear. You don't have to agree with it, but they spent the entire season building up to this bad choice they made. How do you not understand?!
flirty banter to fantasize about...
or write about! whatever floats your boat
"you're going to have to try a little harder than that" (or "to impress me," but avoid making it sound overly cocky)
"liar."
"don't flatter yourself."
"you'd just love to know, [wouldn't you?]"/"wouldn't you love to know."
"was that a compliment?"
"if i didn't know any better, i'd think..."
"i like when you say my name."
"say that again."
"you're distracting me."
"stop staring."
"miss me [yet]?"
"careful, someone might think..." ("that you like what you see," "you've grown soft," "you miss me," etc)
"you love it." > "i do."
any playful feign of injury (to the ego); "ouch."
"[i know how you can] make it up to me."
"what will i get [if i do]?"
"stop pretending that you aren't enjoying this."
"you just can't stay away from me, can you?"
"were you trying to make me jealous?" > "maybe. did it work?" > "absolutely."
"is that right?" with a little smirk...
"do tell."
as always my friends, submit to my "ask" box if there is anything you want to see OR anything you want to share :)

high-tension romantic scenarios to get lost in
fixing each other's collar/zipper/tie/etc - getting unexpectedly close, breath catching when they realize (or their light touches burning into the other's skin)
^ also moving someone's hair out of their face/behind their ear
^ or touching someone's necklace/bracelet/watch
eye contact in a crowded room, but not exchanging any words/expressions - just looking at each other, the rest of the world going still.
^a(n unironic) wink in this situation. or an eyebrow raise, lick or bite of lips, or head tilt. there's something in the subtlety of it - like "this is between us"
pulling someone in by their belt loops??? this is so random idk
feeling the other's breath/lips ghosting their neck
any sort of whisper. anywhere. goddamn.
a long pause when someone is speaking, as though they lost their train of thought while looking at the other person
their bodies accidentally pressed together - being stuck in a small space, falling onto one another, or having to sit really close together. the pause when it's realized.
^this but they're hiding
"make me"
"i dare you"
"and if i do?"/"what will i get (if i do)?" "show/tell me what you want"
the pinky reach before holding hands for the first time
slow dancing (the hand placement, eye contact, proximity, MUSIC)
teaching the other something that involves physical contact (like holding their hands while trying to balance on a skateboard, or guiding their hands somewhere)
eye contact, waiting for one to fold
"don't do that to me" (tempting the other)
sharing earbuds - forced proximity, the vulnerability in sharing things that matter to them
i'm back!! i'm in a huge slump rn, so submit to my "ask" box if there is anything you want to see :) alsoo if you have anything to add to this list, reply to the post!! i love hearing what you guys have to say
yearning. subtle signs of want.
eyes tracing over their features while they're turned away, catching on their eyelashes fluttering against their skin, the slope of their nose, the curve of their lips.
hands brushing, fingertips twitching, savoring the sparks that ignite from touching them, and resisting the urge to chase after it.
hanging onto their every word, engraving the sentences they speak into their very bones.
bodies in close proximity, focusing on how electric the air is, and being hyperaware of how their heat is searing itself into their skin.
idealizing them, imagining them in their fantasies, thinking repeatedly about their best qualities.
having them constantly on their mind, finding reminders of them in the most mundane of daily activities.
a tightness in their chest, an ache in their body at the thought of what they don't have.
leaning in to gaze at them better, taking note of every little detail, every new addition to their appearance, and staring like they'll slip through their fingers if they ever look away.
staying silent when the topic is brought up, too fearful to broach it in case of rejection, or maybe just unwilling to fully commit, and merely returning to their longing afterward.
overthinking what they say, what they do, desperate for the other's attention, just to have their eyes on them.
being unable to believe that what they feel could ever be returned, becoming complacent with the absence in their chest despite its heaviness.
enemies to lovers (college edition)
Character A is an incorrigible arrogant asshole who gets by on charm and the skin of their teeth.
Character B is an academic beast who is barely surviving the semester on their scholarship and is carrying parental pressure to succeed no matter what.
being paired up for a project/assignment/task that is said to count for a majority of their grade
“unlike most things in life, you are gonna have to put in the work”, "dont worry, I splurged for premuim on Canva"
dividing up the amount of work to see as little as possible of each other
hint hint the double entendre
the amount of irk that B gets they gets when A ends up charming their way to good grade
“how do you manage to always get away unscathed” “how do always manage to sound like a character from Lord of the Rings?”
the looks from B’s roommate who swore they heard that hell would have to freeze over for them to be even in the same vicinity as A
cue the bets that get placed
“how did you get the correct answer, you used the completely wrong method”, “much like how I wonder why anyone finds you remotely likable, this will have to be filed under one of life's little mysteries”
B suddenly saving a seat beside them for A at every event/class/meeting
“stop looking at me like that”, “sorry, I’ve been told I have resting yearning face”
all nonchalantness leaves their body the moment they get hit with the soft toned ‘sweetheart’, ‘love’, ‘baby’.
the jaw clench when someone stands a little too close to comfort to B
I love the reveal of traumatic pasts more than the traumatic past itself. Their past slowly getting revealed or discovered by accompanying characters even though the traumatized character is actively trying to keep their past a secret. The subtle signs that the accompanying characters pick up on, the soft questions at first, the inevitable confrontation. Paired with dramatic irony? 9 times out of 10 I’m eating that shit up
I stopped watching this dumpster fire a long time ago, but you have to be a really shit writer to have super interesting threads of a sexuality repressed toxic monster, sexually assaulted child who turns to seeking the male gaze, trans woman who was repeatedly sexually abused seeking the male gaze, girl who grew up too fast and had her ex abuse her, overlooked daughter of an addict who turns to avoiding all aspects of living to not address her hurt, and an ongoing addict with mental illness that all amount to nothing in the end to give any kind of message or narrative. It's a free-for-all game of Episode; you choose your own narrative (fill in the plot holes and make your own takeaways for the characters)
