You know how in real life we have car brands with logos, which are displayed on the cars.

Well, what if in the Transformers universe there are companies who create popular, expensive vehicles that you can scan (or have your body rebuilt to accomodate) which also have a company logo on them? Like, you don't HAVE to display the logo, you can certainly remove it, but these alt modes are expensive status symbols, like owning a Gucci purse, so most bots do willingly wear the logo as a hood ornament or whatever.

Also, just like with Gucci, there are a bunch of knockoff companies.

The upper crust of the upper-crusters change their alt mode every year, rushing to scan the latest "season" from a popular designer. The irony is that this means a lot of rich bots share alt modes, while forged lower class bots are more likely to have a unique alt mode (the one they came about naturally.) Cold constructed bots tend to share alt modes too, of course.
