His assumption that he's still on the outs with Tim speaks a lot, I think. He's quite scared of people holding grudges against him and using it as an excuse later.
Pattern analysis is not his forte.
we've also got a new instance of him being quite mean in an unwarranted way. he is jealous of jaime because rose is doing that on purpose, but he's still being a shithead when jaime hasn't done shit. he also literally throws a tantrum into figuring out how to make portals.
They do make up and get past their differences during the fight. I enjoy Eddie and Jaime's friendship a bunch, even though I'm not showing you the whole issue. As soon as he knows his relationship with Rose isn't in jeopardy he goes oh okay yay

As usual, we see Eddie trying to make friends with the outcast. He just got real unlucky with bombshell.

He's relatively defensive, and deflects with humor, but he's also willing to confess to the shit he did to cassie when they compare their situations. And after all, he never thought he'd be at risk: he never thought he'd stop trusting blue devil.
He's so nice and pleasant to strangers when they show him the same kindness. (he speaks to kole inside of kid eternity).
He also is absolutely willing to make a deal with a devil again. to be clear. he is a little stupid but i love him.
Once more questioning his place and being reassured.

Eddie does NOT like action if he's not in control. the entire time they are in that crashing plane he's shitting himself. also, faints when he sees Rose, I think it's cute.

The thing about the Rose line about eddie wearing his heart on his sleeve is that it's just not true. Sure he does with her, but not with most people.
He also takes no bullshit when it comes to her, and her all adrenaline thing (im not a fan of the storyline but hey. they did make it happen so we gotta take it as we go.) He knows and cares for her enough to notice all those details EXTREMELY fast. Also, now they can touch.
And here comes the scene. Rose asking him to come with her. I'm going to put the pages up. She asks him to choose her. He doesn't. Because Eddie is just a little bit of a hypocrite, and he will pick the team over her, because the team feels safer, because he thinks the team will be more reliable. He is, in this instance, also proving to Rose that he isn't to be relied on. I think it's wonderful and it makes me upset.

He's a bit of a douche, but also I believe there is genuine rejection there, when he's not involved in any of the missions.
And here is also a moment where a choice presents itself to eddie like it has before, and he makes the same choice. Saving the people he cares about.

I've seen this being treated like Eddie calling women princess. I personally read it like Eddie calling Kori by her title. She is, indeed, a princess. Which he would know, given what he knew about Raven, way back in TT03
