Your body isn’t a debate or a lesson or a moral judgment for your choices. It's just a body, doing its best in the conditions it’s in.

why is ut always "being fat puts pressure on ur joints" but never "being skinny makes u more vulnerable to joint/bone injury" like lets be real im not playing this game with u where u get to pretend u know anything about medicine much less my personal case . u are going to have things happen to u and ur body no matter what size u are and pretending fat people are somehow the only people who can possibly sustain weight related injuries PISSES ME OFF . be fucking serious
if you're just starting to go out with visibile body hair just remember that the awkwardness and the dirty looks are worth it because at the end of the day at least one young woman will have looked at your hairy legs and thought "oh wow so it is allowed"
There's a discussion going on on tiktok that i noticed about the topic of body hair (how surprising), but more precisely, about radical feminists wanting to control women by telling them that shaving is upholding the patriarchy. So, radfems aren't a hive mind. Therefore, I can't speak for every single one, so I'll speak for myself. Just because I'm criticizing shaving by stating a simple fact that a smooth body is a beauty standard (and feminism criticizesbeautystandards), I am not controlling you or your personal life choices. I saw someone even say that "our unshaved bodies please them," but that's simply untrue. Your unshaved or shaved body does not please or displease me. I literary do not give a fuck whether your legs are hairy or not. A woman's body is strictly neutral to me. It's like they're trying to paint us as males who think a woman's existence is for their own pleasure. Besides, i could never blame a woman for removing her body hair (you could insert any beauty prosedure here) because we live in a world where being ugly could literally get you killed.
In conclusion: radfems criticizing beauty standards aren't trying to control anybody. At the end of the day, it's your own choice.
beauty rituals are so mundane. they’re not just normalised, they’re expected of us. and it makes them a hundred times more humiliating.
painting a new face on your own, perfectly normal face? humiliating.
wearing clothes that don’t let you sit comfortably, bend down, walk up the stairs…. degrading
paying other women to apply wax on your intimate parts and armpits and then rip your hair out? wtf even is that.
no matter how much time i spend around women i can’t get used to it: glued eyelashes, lip fillers, fake nails, exposing clothes, hairless, often malnourished bodies…. the thoughts about humiliation women put themselves through never leave my mind
may the sun shine on yr leg hair often this summer
"I'm pretty with makeup"
"I'm pretty without makeup"
Radical feminism: "It doesn't matter if you're pretty at all. You don't exist to be pretty."
"Female body hair is okay"
"Female body hair is not okay"
Radical Feminism: "Female body hair simply exists and is completely neutral. Talking about whether its 'okay' doesn't even make sense."
"Presenting THIS way makes you a man"
"Presenting THIS way makes you a woman"
Radical feminism: "Nothing about the way you present makes you a man or woman. Gender isn't real."
I love that radical feminism just removes you from so many binaries of thought. It makes them completely nonsensical. Why would I analyze whether I'm pretty when it doesn't matter either way? Why is the acceptability of my body hair even a subject of discussion? It merely exists, just like the bark on a tree. Does society sit around and debate whether a tree ought to be able to keep its bark?
I've come to realize that I've been handed a ton of "either/or" choices about who I am all my life and told to make a decision on each one. And they were all illusions! I just exist. I never had to justify the way I am or even formulate an opinion on it.
radfems being depicted as "ugly" will never stop being so ironically funny to me? like you're going to try to insult a group of womyn by... telling them that you aren't going to respect their opinion because they don't fit your beauty standards?? you're literally proving their point?? a woman's worth is not based on her sex appeal lmao
Makeup and acrylic nails and feminine clothes and high heels are so restricting! you can't touch your face, you can't blow your nose, you can't cry, you can't kiss your partner, you can't go out in rain, you can't sit however you want, you can't move freely, you can't walk or dance painlessly, you can't even open a can soda or type a message on your phone without having to develop a special technique for it. You can't even attempt to play a string instrument. What's the point of going outside if you can't do anything? You are so much more than something to be looked at and admired. You are human. Allow yourself to live.
Me when I see a woman brave enough to wear shorts in public with unshaved legs:
