Mina/Itsuka headcanons, if you've got the time?

Oof, so I actually had to search up “Itsuka” because I didn’t know that was Kendou lmao, but yeah, also I’m not sure if you mean romantically or platonically

Mina and Itsuka go over to each other’s dorms/rooms all the time to have sleepovers, and they love to have makeovers. Mina’s really good at styling hair, and Kendou loves to put on makeup

They also do training together. Sparring is always fun since although they’re good friends, they both have strong competitive spirits that come out when they practice against each other. With Itsuka’s strong knowledge of her quirk, her uses are more versatile, leading her to win many of their sparring matches. And while that frustrates Mina, it encourages her to train even harder.

Itsuka, having spent a lot of time with Mina, has given her a lot of tips on how to improve her use of her quirk

They also love to go shopping with clothes, although they usually go with all the other girls

Whenever a conflict sparks up between their classes that was more than friendly competition, they both acted as mediators in order to lessen the tension between the two classes. Momo also joins them because she admires their outgoing personalities

Itsuka is one of the closest members of 1-B to the hero class, since they usually stay to themselves

Mina and Itsuka try to bring their classes closer together

They text each other a lot, and end up staying up a bit later than they intended to say the least (as sleep deprived as they are, they don’t even regret it)

Although they don’t have the same teachers, they still study together a lot at the UA library. It helps provide a different perspective as to what they study, and it helps them bring their ideas and lessons together in a way that makes it easier for them to understand

Itsuka and Mina love to share clothes too! And while their styles aren’t the same, they’re both incredibly unique and they love to take aesthetic photos of each other

Sometimes, they get jealous of each other. Mina gets jealous of how beautiful Itsuka is, and she can get so self conscious at times. She gets jealous of how intelligent that Itsuka is and that sometimes she couldn’t help comparing herself

Itsuka’s positivity breaks from time to time, making her wonder if she was really that relevant, if she really mattered and if everything she was doing might end up with her just never making it in the world. She wonders how Mina’s outfits can be so bold, while she’s still a bit self conscious

In the end however, they both end up comforting each other, in both the dark and the light moments. They can lean on each other, and while they may not see each other or talk every day- their connection will always be there no matter what

I wonder where the break happened that such wide swaths of younger fans don’t grasp fandom things that used to be unspoken understandings. That fic readers are expected to know fiction from reality,  that views expressed in fic are not necessarily those of the author, that the labels, tags and warnings on various kinkfics are also the indication that they were created for titillation and not much more, please use responsibly as per all pornography. The ‘problem’ isn’t that so-called ‘problematic’ fic exists but that some of the audience is being stupid, irresponsible, at worst criminal, at best not old enough to be in the audience to begin with. Okay but guys.

In all his time teaching at UA, Aizawa’s expelled 154 students.

But considering he’s thirty, he can’t have been working at UA for very long.

Maybe about 6 years at the most.

So, let’s we assume that all the heroics classes are 20 students each.

If Aizawa had expelled every single student in all 6 of the classes he’s taught at UA, that’d still leave 34 students unaccounted for.

And not to mention that, while we know for certain that he’d expelled an entire class of students the year before Izuku and the others started, he can’t have done that every single year he’d taught at UA (else there’s no way he’d still have a job there).

So like, there’s probably more than 34 expelled students that are unaccounted for.

You know what that means?

This binch is going around expelling other teachers’ students as well.

This headcanon makes me ridiculously happy and I am 100% here for it but also consider the possibility;

We already know that when a General Studies student does well enough in the Sports Festival they might be allowed to replace someone in the Hero Course. In theory this may not be the only way for General Studies kids to make it in.

Let’s assume that when a student is expelled from the Hero Course another student, usually from the General Studies Department, is transferred into the Hero Course if they are deemed worthy (high enough grades etc.).

If this is the case then one could assume that every time Aizawa expels a student and they are replaced with someone that he also thinks has no potential he expels them too. Naturally, they would also be replaced.

In this way Aizawa has probably expelled a decent number of kids that were originally General Studies kids. 

Binch won’t even stay in his own department.

Kiribaku ‘drabble-’ “Unspoken”

Bakugou had a thing for redheads, that much he’s willing to (reluctantly) admit.

Then again, that’s not to say that he appreciates every time Ochako and Todoroki give him a knowing look when simply any redhead walks in. What do they take him for? A fucking protozoan? He had standards dammit. Just because Todoroki was a half-redhead doesn’t mean he wanted to get in his pants (plus, that half white hair immediately disqualified him from being a redhead.)

There was someone specific he was looking for anyways.

At the end of the year, everyone who had turned eighteen received a hint as to who exactly their soulmate was. For Bakugou, he was told that his soulmate had the same colour of hair as his eyes, which sort of led the current redhead situation. When their soulmate was found, it would unlock the ability to communicate mentally. Bakugou was more excited about the Doctor Strange telepathy shit that he was promised with to say the least. The possibilities were endless.

“Bakugou!” Todoroki called out to him. “I’m going to take a break. You and Ochako are in charge of the front.”

“What about Deku?” Ochako asked.

“He’s out,” was the only response they got before he walked away.

Bakugou rolled his eyes. “They’re going to make out in the break room.”

“Um what?!” Ochako exclaimed. “How the hell do you know this?”

“Deku’s skin colour is off around his neck, and he was rubbing that area a bit earlier. Oh and the fact that they always take breaks together, alone,” he said factually, even a little bit bored.

“Well, see, I think I would’ve been okay with a blatant lie, but really, you can be honest to a fault sometimes.” She walked over to the register, shaking her head slightly. “Really Bakugou…”

He turned away to go wash his hands in the sink. “Well, it’s your fucking problem isn’t it?” Before Ochako could respond, Bakugou could hear the door open. He decided not to interrupt her as she dealt with the the customer.

“Hi! What can I get you today?” Ochako said brightly.

“White hot chocolate, oh, and with extra whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon!”

Ah, it was this type of customer again. The ones who didn’t mind if they died from a sweetness overload cause they’re too busy on their sugar high to notice. Then again, Bakugou once dumped six shots of caffeine in one sitting into his black coffee to stay awake for another day after only having 2 hours of sleep between 72 hours (although “once” is the lie there). So really, he couldn’t talk.

He got started as Ochako rang up the customer’s total. Bakugou felt the person staring at him, but ducked his head and kept working, trying not to make eye contact. He didn’t really want another person trying to flirt with him as he was doing his job. Luckily for him, he had successfully pulled it off, but he didn’t finish fast enough to pass the drink off to the customer before they left the counter area, which meant he had to go to their table and deliver it in person- a job that he hated to do himself.

“You should take this one. There’s no way I’m allowing you to push off this job to me.” She poked him in the side, looking over as Bakugou added a tiny snowflake on top (his signature.) “He’s a redhead!”

And of course he fucking was.

Bakugou tried to suppress the urge to eyeroll and instead, used a couple of seconds to narrow in on the guy in question. He sat alone at a table for two, staring out the window and ignoring his phone on the table. An army jacket lined with fleece hung on the back of his chair, and one of arms draped casually over the top of the chair. Black sweatshirt and folded jeans… Bakugou had to admit: this guy could dress well.

Okayy, but, for all he knew, this redhead could easily be there waiting for someone. So… Bakugou supposed there wasn’t any harm in bring this guy a drink right? Since it was simply part of his job, it should be fine. And if they happened to spark up a conversation, well, Bakugou didn’t think he would completely be opposed to that.

So he did exactly that.

“You’re the worst,” Bakugou muttered to Ochako as he walked out from behind the counter.

“I’ll be cheering for you,” she mock-whispered to him, giving a small thumbs up as he left.

Several steps later, he found himself at the redhead’s table, completely and utterly unprepared to start a civil conversation (clearly a normality with someone like Bakugou apparently.)

“Here’s your drink,” he said awkwardly, sounding as if he was angry, although he really wasn’t. “For um,” Bakugou looked at the side of the cup, forgetting that Ochako had written the name on the side when she passed it to him, “Kirishima?”

Kirishima turned his head and looked at Bakugou. “Yeah, that’s me!” Bakugou set down the drink on his table, which prompted Kirishima to smile at him before picking it up. “Thanks! I really like the snowflake there. That’s some cool coffee art.”

“Yeah, it’s sort of my thing…” The barista trailed off, rubbing his head. Before he could make a fool out of himself, he whirled around and tried not to drown in embarrassment.

He had only taken one step before he heard:

(damn, that guy was hot… he was a bit awkward but it was cute. maybe I could get his number one day if I kept going here…)

Bakugou whipped back to look at Kirishima, who was nonchalantly sipping his drink. “Did you say something?”

“Huh? Oh, no… I didn’t.” Kirishima looked a bit confused.

(I swore that was in my head…)

“Look! You did it again!” He moved closer and narrowed his eyes, making Kirishima slightly uneasy.

(he looks like knuckles from sonic, but with the hair down)

“I mean, I guess? Honestly the hair makes me look like a superhero-” Kirishima paused, eyes widening as he realized what he had just said. “That was you?! We’re soulmates?”

Bakugou quickly covered his mouth. “Shut up, you’re so loud! I have a coworker who likes to pry into my private life, and saying that isn’t really helping.”

“Oops, sorry…” he said sheepishly. A light went into his eyes again. “But anyways, whoa… that’s trippy. And kind of embarrassing? I feel like this would expose me too much…. And wait! I don’t even know your name… let alone have your number.”

Oof, so Kirishima was talkative huh… well, Bakugou could learn to live with that.

He cocked an eyebrow, feeling both a sense of indescribable happiness and twisted joy in finding someone else that he could sass and get away with it. “My name is on my name tag... and as for my number, well, you can get it once my shift is over.” He grinned slightly before walking away.

There wasn’t much Ochako could do let that secret leave his lips when he got back behind the counter. (she totally knew something was going on)

Can I have class 1A reacting to being woken up by the blaring Reggaeton music of their Latina (if you only do gender neutral then Latinx) classmate on an early Saturday morning to clean. I do this all the time when I'm away from home for long amounts of time it's basically second nature now :)

-First one to wake up is Mina, and she actually is the one to bug said classmate to turn it on, more so as a running joke, but it eventually just sticks

-Bakusquad is all for this music and ask their latinx friend to teach them some cool moves

-Bakugou ends up smacking all of them with a wet dishrag to get them to focus and since there was no cleaning being done

-When they start cleaning out their rooms and go out of the common room, Jirou, Kaminari, Iida, Momo and Deku all find a way to streamline the music into the speakers 1-A had managed to convince Present Mic and Aizawa to help install (Momo bought it with her own money)

-1-A really doesn’t remember how it got started, but they don’t plan on ending the routine any time soon

-And while Bakugou wasn’t on board at first, the upbeat msuic made time go much faster on the weekends, as they do their homework, have breakfast, or clean up. It also helps drag out the late morning risers (Kaminari, Jirou, Mineta, and well, the others)

The Symbol of Hope

Guys.. this chapter made me realize something while talking with @aoimikans 

Izuku isn’t going to become the Symbol of Peace. That will always be who All Might was. 

When Sir Nighteye tried to look into the future, hoping he saw the boys and Eri escaping and surviving, he saw nothing. 

Which possibly means he passed out, he can’t see a changing future, (Edit: or Chisaki dies - not by Izuku’s hand but by his own quirk), or Chisaki pricked him with the bullets he picked up. 

But I feel that’s less likely since he wouldn’t want to waste them on who he perceived was a dying man. 

But more importantly, what we immediately get as a reply to this blank future is this:

The kid who was Quirkless, whose actions led to him earning a Quirk. The kid who gave back All Might’s will to live. The kid that changed the meaning of Deku. The kid who has helped and changed his classmates for the better. 

Izuku is an agent of change. He won’t be the Symbol of Peace. 

Izuku is going to become the Symbol of Hope. 

The Hero that Bends Fate.

Symbol of Hope in the Absence of Peace

@swiftwidget and I were talking about the newest chapter which lead to her Symbol of Hope post, and I’d like to add my thoughts which emphasize her points. (EDIT: This got longer than expected!!!)

First, the closing lines of chapter 154:

LET US MOVE BEYOND DESPAIR!!

Despair. The complete loss of hope.

Izuku. The boy no one saw coming. Toshinori never imagined finding his successor in such a way. Revealing his weakness, his uncertainty, his fear. But time and time again, Izuku was there. He disrupts the wavering peace and creeping despair, bringing about hope. 

Bakugou. Uraraka. Aizawa. All Might over and over. Todoroki. Iida. EVEN STAIN!* And most recently, Lock Rock, Eri, and Mirio.

Izuku brings hope wherever he goes.

He twists their apparent fates. 

Bakugou would have died because of the sludge villain. No one else was acting to save him, even All Might!! But because of Izuku, a quirkless boy, his leap into action caused All Might to surpass his current limits and save them both. The catalyst for change.

Uraraka she could have been seriously injured or died during that exam! There may have been safety measures taken into account, but that giant robot was barreling towards her. Everyone else was running away. Except Izuku.

Aizawa, ready to expel a boy for repeatedly destroying his own body, is amazed by Izuku’s drive, endurance, and willingness to learn and better his control over his self-destructive quirk. He gave Aizawa hope - surpassing his expectations again and again. USJ. Summer Training Camp. Kamino. Overhaul’s hideout. Aizawa holds an immense amount of hope and pride in Izuku, even if he scarcely admits it.

All Might:

Do I even need to say more?

The hope he gives to the others is blatant and I want to mention Stain again.

Stain! 

Stain was disillusioned. Heroes, villains, they were all the same, falling to their vices. Pride, greed, revenge, etc. Iida only proved his point that today’s heroes are a far cry from his ideal version of a true hero, “All Might.” In Stain’s eyes only a select few were deemed worthy enough to call themselves heroes… Finally ready to turn his back on even children, still learning and growing, here comes Izuku! Bringing hope to Stain and Iida alike. 

A boy like this… He has the makings of a true hero. A hero who follows the teachings of All Might.

And GUESS WHAT! If it weren’t for Izuku butting his nose in, Iida would have died and Stain would likely still be at large, still lacking the audience he needs and wants for his message. Without Izuku, there wouldn’t have been that recorded confrontation with Endeavor. Stain would still be in the back streets, voiceless, preaching to victims who would fall by his hand.

Stain saved Izuku from the noumu. He didn’t have to. He could have easily taken another hostage. But IZUKU proved himself to be a true hero in Stain’s eyes. Someone worth saving. A budding seed. Hope for the new generation of heroes Stain was trying to create. Stain’s roles: “[False] Hero Killer” and “[True] Hero Breeder”

Izuku truly is the Symbol of Hope. Of change. Defying fate. Hope is not something that can be seen. If you are certain of something you can’t have hope. It is the time of uncertainty when hope is most needed. 

Sir Nighteye made a mistake in looking into All Might’s future. 

All Might needed hope. Hope that he would recover, return to being a hero. Instead, Sir gave him certainty. The certainty that All Might would fall and die at the hands of a villain. And what did Toshinori do? He accepted his fate. He did not hope to change it. He would fall, and he would die, but he would try his hardest to save those he could. HOWEVER, amidst the certainty that he would die… Izuku was there. Toshinori had hope. He had a need to survive. Rather than placing his life in the hands of certainty, he tossed that certainty aside and trusted in hope.

And he lived.

Because of Izuku.

Quirkball Team

Idk this might just be me, but I totally hc the BNHAverse to having special sports for quirk users. (And I’m also lowkey projecting), so here, take this headcannon list no one asked for

Quirkball is a special sport for quirk user (I mean no shit)

I suppose it’s a lot like volleyball, but with quirks 

Super explosive ones, like Bakugou’s are allowed, but all quirks must stay only to the person who’s quirk it belongs to (so like, Todoroki can’t freeze the ball of ice, but he can make the soles of his feet slippery so that he can dive for he ball faster)

This is just super intense and dangerous volleyball tbh

So, in order for the ball to not get destroyed by the violent hits, all the balls are specially made out of kevlar, which again, is super tough and will hurt the person

Rules are exactly like volleyball’s

Any creative moves using quirks are valid (for example, Momo creating some arm guards to protect her arms and make it easier to bounce off)

Only three people on the court at a time because of how insane it would be if there were more. There are nine people per team

UA would be a pretty fearsome powerhouse because all of the students there are specially picked and accepted. Sometimes, the kids who don’t become heroes go on to play this sport

Kirishima : When I look at the past sports festival, all of the participants during                       the preliminary rounds would have teams for a team battle. And I                         know that the top 16 who make it to the finals will be in an individual                     battle. Every single one of the competitions aren’t the same..Even if                     there is, the rules would be slightly different.

Bakugou  : Isn’t that obvious, stupid?

Ashido     : What do you mean?

Bakugou  : Don’t you bastards watch the live broadcast of the past sports                               festival on tv? (Basically, Bakugou explains to them about it and                           mentions it’s to distinguish between the students and whatnot)                             There’s also times where the competition may be biased on purpose.                   Basically, it’s useless thinking about it..Ya got that, you incompetent                     fools?! Ashido    : He also did well in the quirk apprehension test and (some other test                      she mentioned)

Uraraka  : (something kinda guy she says)

Kirishima: Moreover, his dad is the number 2 hero, Endeavor.(I think he says                        how unfair Todoroki’s heritage is??Considering his quirk and all.)

Bakugou : Hmph! I’ll shatter that Half-and-Half Bastard’s ice to pieces and                            SHATTER HIM TO PIECES AS WELL!   

Ashido    : A murder notice?! That’s a crime!

Uraraka  : Speaking of spirit, Tokoyami-kun’s Dark Shadow is like that right? Say                  Bakugou-kun, if it were you, how would you fight him?

Bakugou : I’ll turn that guy into a grilled chicken with my blast and EAT HIM AT                    ONCE!

Deku          : Since I was a child, I’ve always looked up to All Might and my                                objective was to be like Kacchan. But I always thought that I want                        to catch up to Kacchan since he’s strong.

Uraraka      : You also said the same thing back then,during the battle training                          right?

Deku           : Yeah..but I think that the ‘me’ back then has a slight different way                         of thinking..It’s not about catching up to someone or winning                                 against someone…I am aiming to become the strongest hero.                               That’s why I have to take the sports festival seriously. That’s right,                         not just because All Might told me to show that ‘ I am here’ nor the                       fact that I’m his successor. I have to meet everyone’s                                             expectations!

Uraraka       : Deku-kun! You’re so serious!

Can I have him sigh in frustration but this time propping it up with his hand and burying it in his green hair that is also falling on his face ( he needed the glasses because he ruined his eyes from staying up too late reading and texting his friends about homework)

Can I have Iida gathering a workout squad (in UA dorms) that wake up at sunset to run around on the grounds if it’s nice, or in the gym, and he always plans out what they’d be focusing on so that they could all become better (and while Bakugou says it’s a burden to be around them, he still helps out)

Can I have Ochako and Kouda baking cookies in the oven, which brings everyone downstairs, because fuck does that smell like heaven

Can I have passive-aggressive caring Bakugou yelling at everyone to take care of themselves in a very angry but comical way

Can I have Midoriya going door-to-door to wake up anyone who had accidentally slept in after a long night of studying and homework

Can I have Shouji being a handyman of sorts because he’s just so damn good at using all of his arms, and everyone kind of just stares at him in awe when he changes the batteries to the fire alarm

Can I have Tsuyu bringing in plants that her parents and her siblings bought her, and the collection of plants getting so big in the common room that Aizawa just tells her to put up a garden on the roof of UA

Can I have platonic Todoroki and Momo creating an electric piano, so that while everyone is there, they play some classical music. Can I have the other students requesting songs of all types, like classical to pop to jazz, and the rooms are always filled with music and life.

Can I have photographer!Tooru, because while she can’t be seen and has given up on being in the pictures, she wants to take pictures of these moments with her friends and immortalize them on film. Can I have all the 1A students flocking her for a paper copy of the photos so that they can put it in their room, which eventually leads to just the photos being hung on the hallway walls

Can I have artist!Jirou, where she decides that her room needs a change and she paints a beautiful mural of the galaxy, and everyone freaks out when they realize that she used glow in the dark paint and it shines at night

Can I have an insomniac Tokoyami who spends most of his time at night looking at conspiracy theories and unsolved crimes (aye Buzzfeed Unsolved anybody?)

Can I have Bakusquad creating a video journal recording every day in the dorms with their friends, and it’s just a chaotic, good time

Can I have all the girls parading around the halls and the common room, holding a fashion show using both Aoyama and Momo’s closets to take clothes from.

Can I have Aoyama being the first to march around with a boa around his neck and sunglasses on his face as he directs the entire show

Can I have 1A having these huge movie nights and when All Might and Aizawa walk in to check on them inside of the common room and just see piles on piles of blankets and pillows scattered on the floor and on the couches as the class snores on, and so they just smile, shake their head, and vow to scold them in the morning (but spoiler alert: it never happens)

Can I have them watching crappy movies like Sharknado (along with other B-Grade movies) just because they like to laugh at how dumb it is. Can I have them also watching Marvel and DC as they all point out all the quirks that they would totally love to see in action. Can I have them shrieking when they find out that the newest releases stream on their tv too.

Can I have Sero being unexpectedly good at knitting, so Momo buys yarn and has her parents send her a package for Sero to make blankets, sweaters, hats, scarves, book bags and whatnot when 1A orders from him

Can I have Midoriya being a diplomat between 1A and 1B, and Kendou can’t help but smile at how earnest he is about trying to get everyone to cooperate with each other. Can I have Shinsou, who is a pretty influential person when he chooses to speak out, supports him wholeheartedly (although he was pretty skeptical about it at first)

Can I have Monoma frothing at the mouth when Midoriya invites them into 1A’s common room for baked goods (that the entire 1A worked on together to make peace, and even Bakugou was dragged in, grumbling the entire time). Can I have Monoma saying that “of course 1A has everything they want” and Testsutetsu walking up with a cookie stuffed in his mouth saying that their common rooms were the exact same, but the only reason they hadn’t decorated was because of how clumsy Monoma was (he blushes and runs away)

Can I have all the boys wearing glasses, because fuck, they would look super hot. Like damn

Can I have Kirishima and Kaminari pranking Mineta by sneakily taking the grape balls and tell Mineta that he’s going bald. Can I have Mineta moping around in his room saying that he’s never going to get a girl (in which Todoroki mumbles “not like you had huge chances in the first place) and Momo and Ochako eventually coming in and comforting him. (Mineta takes advantage of this and takes in the boob in his face hug)

Can I have Mario Kart tournaments every Thursday after classes and it just turns into a full-out war with everyone doing 1 vs 1 tournament style matches until a true champion can be crowned. Can I have them comically screaming at the screen and creating alliances. Can I have Bakugou being in denial when Midoriya ends up winning the first time they do it, and resolves to beat him the next time around (training at night for a straight week), which ends up paying off (while everyone just panics when the explosions starts)

Can I have sassy Todoroki and Bakugou getting into these dumb little contests as everyone cheers them on, because who said that there was a need to be a bigger person in these situations

Can I have Ojiro and Koda staring at all these crazy things that 1A does and wonder how exactly they got their in the first place (although they’re quite glad)

Can I have rare outings where the teacher accompany the class to a voted destination, whether it be the movie theater, or the mall, or the amusement park and even a beach, and while it’s super rare, even the teacher want to break out of the cage called UA

Can I have the Bakugou/Midoriya grudge grow into something more than the extreme rivalry. Can I have them become less of a dangerous chemical match that should never be together, but instead become a catalyst for something so much greater 

Can I have new friendships and tighter bonds as they grow into the role that they fit into within society and school

Can I have 1A just being so supportive of each other, and maturing into people that will and deserve to be the next generation of heroes

Can I have these students be the teenagers that they are and take a break from all the things that have been falling apart in their world. 

Can I have them happy, and carefree, and be able to smile, without worrying about their friends being kidnapped, or villains attacking their loved ones and innocent people, and to be able to have those moments that make them feel normal (and not in the ‘boring’ way). Sometimes even the extraordinary becomes restricting. 

Can I have them be able to taste the sweetness of ice cream before they need to spit out the taste of metallic blood from their mouth. 

Can I have the perfect, but short moments, where the pressure of being a hero can be ignored, just enough so that they can appreciate the time before they are thrust into a world full of terrible monsters and scarier situations where there are dead bodies on the streets and destruction is rampant. 

Can I have these beautiful, wonderful students not need to wake up with crippling nightmares and debilitating fears that may scar and follow them right from the get-go in their first year. 

Can I watch these students grow up and still have faith in the world and what it has to offer, even as they fight on the front lines and their own brain may chant that it is hopeless to wish for peace in this world.

But then again- you don’t always get what you want.
