Behold Baldhe
“Bro! I’m telling you, that’s what’s pikachu looked like!” “You haven’t seen pikachu in decades. You don’t know what you’re talking about!”
I imagine SQH and SQQ like to get drunk and draw pop culture references from memory lol
Total time: 15 hours
why would you ever outsource fun to chatgpt? are you stupid? you can make mediocre shit by yourself too.
you're missing out on all the crazy euphoric moments where you execute an idea flawlessly, sending it to your friends and feeling the genuine happiness at their reactions to something you made authentically. you're robbing yourself of something beautiful.
and I get it, writers block, artists block, depression can really be terrible, but once you break out of it (and you will) it will feel like climbing Mount Everest.
peace and love on planet earth! you are saving the environment AND you’re cool!
WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!!
Accidental Third Wheel
Post-canon stuff idea that has been floating around my head that I need to clear out:
One day, someone knocks on the bamboo house's door.
SQQ opens and finds PIDW!LBH back again, but with a companion: Shen Yuan from an alternate universe
...
"Shizun--"
SQQ slams the door close, takes a deep breath to compose himself because seeing an alternate world him had him shook
and its too fucking early for this shit.
When he opens the door again, he has regained his "immortal lord" composure and asks what Bingge is doing here.
When Bingge finally found the 'kind' shizun, he found the version where Shen Yuan is still ill
Bingge had wanted to jumpstart Shen Yuan's cultivation so he could be healthier. There is a rare plant that does something like that (of course) but Bingge had already used it up for his other previous wives. He came to the SVSSS universe to see if the plant is still available.
But also, secretly he wanted to show Shen Yuan the sect because the sect has already been destroyed in the PIDW universe. He knows SY is a big fan of the PIDW book, especially when it comes to the lore and beasts
Extra stuff/what-ifs to imagine:
Bingge asking for advice on how to court Shen Yuan because up until now SY thinks that he is just on a trip and not on a 'I'm taking you back home to become my wife' kind of trip
Bingmei, who had experienced how SY's mental gymnastics can be quite creative, is a little empathetic
SQQ still does not know how to feel about seeing an alternate version of himself
Imagine Airplane or Bingmei's subtle jabs at SQQ whenever Shen Yuan does his infamous denial and mental gymnastics whenever his 'straight' brain cannot process something lol.
"hey would you be a dear for me and-"
waaaay ahead of you boss

Just so we’re clear, if I point out that you did something racist, that’s not the same as me thinking you’re irremediably terrible. You did a racist thing.
You think you don’t do racist things, homophobic things, etc? You do. I caught myself in fat phobic and homophobic lines of thinking/speech just this morning. I’m fucking gay married. Nothing disqualifies you from acting in a way that reflects the society you exist in. We are obliged to fight it. Why not fight it in honesty and with camaraderie?
Look, I understand that you're going through some shit, and you know I'll always support you, but I just had to fight your shadow-self in the kitchen. Yeah, I was getting breakfast and the enfleshed eidolon of your existential alienation was shooting, I don't know, some sort of beam.
It banished the Froot Loops to a far and sunless realm. I really wanted those.
#also i recognise that the self that walks in darkness is not inherently any more true than the self that walks in the light#but i've gotta ask: is there something going on that i should know about#like#pronoun-wise?
one of my least favourite things about this website. "op have you considered that [the thing op was saying]"
giggling at this because this is ALSO awful and is ALSO the exact opposite example of what i was saying in my post i love this
I'm gonna be honest i dont really know the purpose of the communities feature. We already had that. It was called "posting with tags"
ok well maybe not this time. but you understand 👍
New work uniform
actually hate that the bodys response to anything is nausea. ate too much? nauseous. ate too little? nauseous. an imaginary threat got you scared? be nauseous. on your period? you guessed it. sawed into your hand and need to go to the emergency room? perhaps throwing up into your open wound will be of help
people act like this college shit is hard but i used AI to generate me a medical license and have bee ndoing surgery on newborns for 6 months
On Discomfort and Morality
My father finds gay men uncomfortable.
He's told me before that it's like a knee-jerk for him. Something he doesn't consciously control. He sees two men behaving romantically, and his body reacts with mild discomfort.
In the 1960s, when he was in high school, most of the boys in his form thought he was gay on the simple fact that he wasn't homophobic. He wouldn't participate in insulting queer people, he didn't care if someone was gay, he wouldn't have a problem hanging out with gay people. So people thought he was gay. That's how prevalent homophobia was in his formative years.
When I was 10, my dad told me very seriously that Holmes and Watson were gay. That it was obvious from the literature and the time period that they were meant to be a gay couple. When I was 14 and I came out to my parents as bi, when my mum was upset my dad ripped into her for it. Told her that she was being stupid, that it was my life to live how I wanted to and that she needed to get over herself.
My dad formed my views on censorship: that being that it was completely ridiculous and thoroughly evil. He didn't believe in censorship of any kind. If I asked him a question about sex, he answered it honestly. When I was 12 and I asked him about homosexuality, still young and uncertain, he told me that there was nothing wrong with it. That it was just how some people were. That there was likely an evolutionary reason for it. And that for some people it was uncomfortable on an instinctual level.
He taught me that just because you're uncomfortable with something, doesn't make it wrong. He also taught me that most people don't understand this.
I see a lot of this on the internet as of the last few years. The anti shipping movement, the terf movement, the anti ace movement. It all stems from discomfort that people have crossed wires into believing means wrong. Really every -ism and -phobia out there stems from this same fundamental aspect of humanity.
The next time you see something and you automatically think it's disgusting, or wrong, or immoral, I invite you to ask yourself: is this actually wrong or does this just make me uncomfortable?
