Well did I watch the series yet? No. Why you’d ask? Cause I didn’t read the books yet. I am seriously in a dilemma right now. Should I watch the series and then read the books because I know I won’t be getting the trilogy in the next 2 months or so. Should I just watch the series first? I don’t know what to do!!!😭 I see all these stories and posts on how good the series is and I am so tempted to just click that play button on Netflix. And I am instantly closing my eyes whenever I see a Shadow and Bone related post, because I don’t wanna get spoilers. But I saw the cast and I saw a few spoilers, nothing huge, but I saw them. i read this under the expectation of cute fluff!! all i knew was like the first half of cute fluff and believe me i ain’t got good enough memory to remember greek myths n shit (my prior knowledge was odysseus- boat and achilles- heel, though that his improved significantly after becoming obsessed with this). but jesus christ it was like a bloody slap in the face dude. a punch in the face when you thought the room was empty man.

okay but you know what killed me? what obliterated me? what tore my heart out of my body? when Briseis calls Patroclus the best of the myrmidons. the sequence in which it arrives. Patroclus deciding to take his life after Achilles is gone, not knowing he will die first. The prophecy about his looming death and yet no one knows it's about him because nobody sees him as the best of anything. he is just Patroclus. But then, something shifts. He is seen for the first time in a way that even Achilles, for all his love, has failed to see him. Briseis recognises him for who he is, and in doing so seals his fate, though she herself is unaware of it. like The Fucking Dramatic Irony!!!!knowing the course of their life before they do. sometimes i think like being a reader is the closest we can come to feeling how the Gods felt

Hello my sunshines!🌻 Happy April everyone! Literally where did March go?! Like what is up with this year? It’s already been 3 months of 2021. 😧 ✨Anyway, how was your reading for March? What was your favourite read? ✨my reading was SLOW. And since I have exams in a month, I’m on a book buying ban. So I’ve just reread some old jems. ✨I went back to Ari and Dante and reread the last part like 4 times and cried😭. (If you know, you know why). Also did you see the post by @border_poet about the sequel for this. Yaayyyy! 🎉 ✨ I reread a few short stories by the brilliant story telling Sudha Murty. ✨I went back to Milk and Honey by @rupikaur_ and the poems still took my breath away. ✨and finally if you have been following my stories, A tale of two Cities. And since I didn’t have much time last week, I am still rereading it. But I love that book.
