#TBT🇵🇷#chicago In the early 1970’s, the Union for Puerto Rican Students at Northeastern Illinois University was established. One of the major accomplishments of this group was the creation of the Proyecto Pa’lante, an educational outreach program for Chicago’s Latino community. This photograph captures two of the activist student leaders during those struggling days – on the left is Edwin Claudio from Chicago & on the right is Hector Rosado, a transfer student from Puerto Rico.
