So the League is Assassins speaks Arabic and Ra’s Al Ghul probably prefers to speak an older, more archaic version of it for superiority and comfort reasons. Altair’s Arabic would also be fairly old-fashioned.

So imagine Desmond chilling in Gotham for whatever reason and he hears Damian smack talking something or someone in Arabic. Probably mundane-ish but murdery like how such and such building is poorly designed not only bc the aesthetic elements and motifs clash but all of the windows would make it easy to snipe someone in there. And Desmond happens to be in earshot and half distracted agrees and expands along the idea in Arabic.

And this cause both parties to freeze. Desmond bc “whoops how do I play off the language use.” And Damian and whoever’s with him (good choices would be Jason, Tim, and/pr Bruce bc of close proximity to the LoA) bc “why does this random stranger sound (in vocab) like Ra’a Al Ghul.” Cue the misunderstandings comedic rooftop goose chase for answers.

Assassins Creed x Cassette Beasts idea

So the Mer-Line tells us that we need to go back to our own worlds bc they need the spirit of rebellion or whatever. And Desmond’s world (especially his little circle of it) definitely feels like it needs a heckuvalot of that.

So what if the Mer-Line yoinks Desmond. Idk when but it seems like sometime after Abstergo kidnaps him would work best. It would be really funny for Desmond to disappear from Abstergo and have both the Templars and Assassins be flabbergasted and frantically looking for him.

And we could have Desmond (and Barkley) come out of the Mer-Line somewhere random to make the mystery even more fun. (And give Desmond a chance at being normal ish for a bit)

I imagine that sometime later the Assassins get their hooks in him and we complete the rest of the series from there. They would probably try and have Desmond get rid of Barkley only for both of them to vehemently reject that. Desmond could tell them that Barkley is an anchor and a way to help with the bleeds (there are service dogs who are trained to help tell people what’s real and not).

Ofc when Desmond goes face to hologram w the Isu he’s going to be extremely underwhelmed. Compared to the manifestations of concepts that bend and stretch the mind to perceive, long dead beings are fairly tame, even if they have super high tech. Would love a defiant Desmond telling them that “Maybe you are the issue” and then trying to mulligan his way out of the solar flare problem. Or going with option 3 w the Eye (whatever option three ends up becoming due to plot)

Bonus: all of the fusion and playing vessel to an Archangel an Italy stabilizes the Bleeds that he has and he gets a mental peanut gallery.

It's not unusual for the Avatar to remain unknown for a long time. Sure, in the Corporation Rim it grants instant celebrity status and companies will wave all labor contracts for the Avatar and their immediate family for good PR, but sometimes they're born on a lost colony or otherwise stay outside Corporate newsfeeds.

It's also not unusual for SecUnits to be benders. Companies sometimes require them for certain contracts so they can charge you more. However, a SecUnit being the Avatar is impossible.

That is... until Murderbot realized it was the Avatar after hacking its governor module.

It would prefer if its past lives stopped freaking out over being reincarnated as a SecUnit or trying to lecture it about Avatar stuff every time it tried to ask them for media recommendations.

i hate this cause i did japanese for like a year and this explains the use of the -ne particle WAYYYY better than my teachers ever did. it took me ages to comprehend what this post makes abundantly clear.

my teachers: its like a, a little rise at the end of a sentence, to show that you are seeking a response, while not warranting the -ka particle which would make it a proper question.

me: ok. i guess i get that??

fun fact: afaik, "-ne" was inherited from the Portuguese settlers/priests that stayed in Japan in the 16th century. It comes from "né?", which the contraction of "não é?", "isn't it?".

Percy Jackson x Gravity Falls

So for Weirdmageddon, the Zodiac 10 have to form hands to defeat Bill, right? Well that has to have some lasting affects, especially on both sets of Pines Twins considering they are so close to each other and the blood bond. The Riordanverse also runs on belief and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that the Gravity Falls Townsfolk half-jokingly talk about the 10 as other, in not “godly” per se. All of these combine to change Dipper and Mabel.

On the way to get back to Piedmont they start to see otherworldly things. Whoever and whatever they see decides to leave them alone since the Pines Twins don’t smell like the typical demigods they persecute. Since they’re left alone, the twins just assume that they’re being jumpy bc of Bill or use Grunkle Ford’s hypothesis of the weird existing all over to reassure themselves.

I’m leaving details vague and other possible changes up to authors but eventually it all leads to a collision. The Twins see a monster fighting a group of demigods and jump to help in the typical Gravity Falls manner. After confusing everyone and removing the need for violence (whether through diffusion or the defeat of the monsters) both sides get some answers and many more questions. They agree to meet up at a safe and secure spot (maybe Camp Jupiter??) and it goes from there.

Character concept: kindly old mentor figure who is scouring the land in search of The Chosen One to pull the sword from the stone. They find the kid destined to be king, whisk them away on a magical adventure full of lessons like "be a good sport" and "always see the best in people," and guide them to the stone.

The child pulls the sword out and immediately gets knifed in the ribs by their mentor, who takes the sword, hides the body, and gets declared the rightful king.

Throughout the magical adventure there was a ''villain'' - a scary Sorceress perhaps - who was hostile to the Old Mentor. This of course immediately makes the Child dislike her. Sure, the child's been taught to see the best in people, but this mean lady is really testing that lesson!

She never attacks directly, never endangers the Child - but does maybe kidnaps them once and tries to convince them that the Mentor is no good. That he's conniving and treacherous and has his own plans; that he doesn't care who he hurts to accomplish them. But the child isn't hearing any of it They've been on a magical adventure and have learned the value of Friendship and Trust!

Of course the Child would never believe a such terrible lies.

So when the Child's body is good and buried, and the Newly Crowned King sits upon his throne built on manipulation, lies, and murder, the Sorceress stands over an unmarked grave deep in the woods.

"I'm sorry, little one. I did try to warn you. You're not his first victim, and now with an entire kingdom in his grasp, we will not be his last."

She raises her hand over the grave and begins to cast a spell.

"I promise not to say 'I told you so.'"

To be honest I don't understand how these things were able to, like, move or breathe or anything with how heavy they must have been

This thing would have been MUCH scarier than T. rex cause like look at it

Actually they were a lot lighter than you'd think for their size, they were FULL of air sacs specifically to make them lighter. They moved by having really, really straight legs so the weight was transferred straight down into the ground, and they walked on cushioned pads just like an elephant. Their lungs were sort of constantly cycling air around because otherwise it wouldn't be much good, and the whole point of having a really really long neck was specifically that they didn't need to move much!!!!

Like, they're incredibly unspecialised herbivores who just ate everything and let the gut handle it (hence why they had to get so big, just because they had to fit A LOT of gut in there) like their mouths were basically just Rakes.

This thing was built to sweep its head from high to low to near to far and rake in everything it could eat. By evolving a long neck it basically meant it was giving itself a huge range of motion to eat with but also being VERY energy-efficient because moving your legs takes a LOT more energy than just. Tilting your neck up and down, especially at that size. So this thing was basically built to be incredibly, INCREDIBLY energy efficient, light and weight-spreading for its size.

Blue whales sort of practice a similar feeding style, where because they're so Big and need so Much food, they just sort of went "ok im just going to take in AS MUCH food as possible as efficiently as possible" and the thing is. Using baleen takes 0 effort really other than opening and closing your mouth. Which is why whales can grow to be really big. See in the ocean weight matters less, so you can afford to just have a big mouth, but land animals have to do it differently.

Being Big isn't just a case of having lots of food available. It's about being as Efficiently able to eat it as possible. Hell, i mean elephants basically evolved the same thing, except they've just given themselves really long noses rather than necks. It means the elephant can stay in one spot while still reaching huge amounts.
