Set some good intentions for the new year. I am sowing the seeds that will bloom in spring
Saw on tiktok someone make a really good point about participating in periods of abstinence prior/around the time of Spring (Ramadan, lent) and how in the fall/winter it’s a period of indulgence, and overconsumption. So to really set intentions, and develop diligence and discipline, participating in these period of abstinence can be crucial to setting the tone of the year.
In the fall and spring I work on prioritizing my family and holidays and spend way too much money and energy on it. So I’m quasi participating in a period of abstinence this year. I can’t fast, and I put different values on different things, but I decided to take a screen break from tiktok, fanfiction and sweets (not carbs). I also set out to dedicate more time to my craft and my spirituality. Instead of the material, I want to focus on the spiritual. I’m spending only on what I need, and not buying extra. I will utilize what I have and take care of my things.
Maybe I’ll do a more thorough guideline. I decided this last minute, and I would like to document my time so I can see if it’s been a positive experience and actually helped or not.
So I did end up participating, and thanks to the support I had and the forethought I put into it, I would say it was very successful. I got a lot done and managed to break my near constant reliance on TikTok and discover other avenues and even older avenues of entertainment. 10/10 recommend for the coming year, or for following periods of overindulgence.

I’ve realized the most important altar to have is your own body. Like no matter where I go my body will be the thing that carries me there. So my first order of business is to take care of my health but fuck it’s hard 🥲.
Going along this same vein, I’ll come home from doctors appointments and just throw my visit summary paperwork/ prescriptions etc onto my altar as proof that like I’m trying to take care of my health and showing my progress.

Church of San Vittorino, Cittaducale, Italy (built in 1613)
girl run, i’ve played Dark Souls ur in the ruins of a forgotten church and that’s fuckin boss music
reblogging this again because I meant to say: I found out about this place specifically from this video and since it’s barely an hour ride from where I live, I went there. I cannot begin to explain how magical this is. The water is crystal clear, and cold, and this churt is actually a roman temple that was converted into a church and sunk in 1600. If you happen to be in the area of Cittaducale, I seriously recommend taking a second look to the abandoned and overgrown building on the side of the highway. 10/10 experience. (also please bring anti-bug spray with you)
It’s the solstice which for my ancestors means shit but for my present self means a day of rest cause it’s fucking cold and the suns time is short
Ppl don’t see me doing stuff in October and get on me as if I’m not a witch all year around 🥴
Not me having a bunch of egg shells drying on my desk and my white atheist roomate seeing them when she went to get Midol from my room 😂
The best way to contact me is to meet me in my dreams at 3am
How come whenever black people say that Hoodoo is closed to nonblack witches the FIRST THING white witches say is “Well then only white witches can practice Celtic/Hellenistic paganism (or any other OPEN European religion/spiritual practice).
Like it just shows how uneducated y’all are. Honestly. Celtic and Hellenistic paganism are OPEN practices. There is no requirements to join. Hoodoo was made by SLAVES, SLAVEESSSSS! Made by African slaves FOR African slaves and their descendants to help protect themselves. Why, as a white witch, would you want to use the spirits of slaves and black ancestors to do work for you??? Like why???
Dollar Tree Candle Recall
I haven’t seen this around here yet, but I bet some of yall thrifty witches buy candles from the dollar tree because they are a dollar and great (I like to get the 7-day votive candles).
Well guess what? There is a recall! Its only for the small votive candles called “Sure Scents 2-1 Peaceful Stream/Moonlit Waves” in which the wax can catch fire and break the glass (doesn’t sound so peaceful to me).
Small votive candles sold exclusively at Dollar Tree stores are being recalled because they pose fire and burn hazards.
According to a recall notice posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website, 142,740 Sure Scents 2-1 Peaceful Stream/Moonlit Waves Candles are part of the recall and consumers should immediately stop using the candles.
“The candles’ high flames can ignite the surface of the wax or cause the glass to break, posing fire and burn hazards,” the notice said, noting no injuries have been reported but there have been “two reports that flame height reached above the glass, causing the glass to break.”
Adco Trading Inc. of Missouri City, Texas, imported the candles, which are approximately 2 ½ inches tall with a powder blue color wax in a glass votive, the notice said. They were sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide from July through September 2020 for $1.
Just passing this information along! Be safe out there and if you bought this candle between July-September 2020 (for $1 - just thought that was funny, of course its only a dollar, its the dollar tree) DON’T USE IT.

breathe, let the tightness you feel in your chest dissipate and the tension in your neck and shoulders ease. It’ll be okay. It’ll all be okay.
Important Info for Witches in US!
okay a LOT of people don’t seem to know this so i’m putting it here too.
In all 50 states in the US, teaching witchcraft (or any other religion) to minors (under 18 in 48 states, 21 in Mississippi) without the full knowledge & consent of parents/guardian is illegal. aka this means fines or even jail time.
you can advise them to do research, attend spiritual events, meditate, and things like that but you can NOT mentor them or give any sort of direct information. i recommend a signed consent form from the parents to prevent any legal issues.
likewise, if you are <18 in the US, do not seek out a mentor if your parents haven’t given you permission!! you could get someone in serious trouble. if you know your parents would not consent to it, do your own research and then seek guidance when you are of age. It is safer for multiple reasons that way.
i don’t know the laws in other countries but i suggest looking into it!
here’s an article with some supreme court cases and other information showing this post to be true
This is also why many blogs will not give direct information in response to asks from users who state that they are under 18. Although, as someone pointed out in the tags, direct mentoring is not the same as a minor finding the information on their own from your public blog - that is not your responsibility nor your concern. Also, this isn’t just for witchcraft or paganism of course, but it does apply to a lot of the mentor-type relationships that often form in the witchcraft community

Help Needed
hey guys, long time no see lol
I’m having a really hard time so if anyone has it in them to donate to my c*shapp or venmo let me know, I’m also doing readings again for $20.
I had a job but lost it recently after being hired so I’ll do my absolute best to have any readings done in 24 hours. I also have not received any unemployment assistance this whole time possible due to my old employer blocking the claim. I’m also taking up selling vanilla candles for $5, $7 and $10 if anyone is interested please DM me.
I’m selling the “Praise the Ancestors” t-shirts on teespring or here I’ll take your info the shirts are $22 (including shipping), just look through previous posts about colors and I can get one ordered after the money is sent and you give me your address info!
Thank you and I appreciate all your help!
