Well guys, still going strong!! I do have some bad news though.... not sure how many of you remember that i fell down the stairs just a few days into this journey.... well my knee has just continued to get more more painful, I have to make an appointment with my D.O but the local urgent care is pretty sure I have torn my meniscus (i need an mri to confirm,, but the brace is on the way). So I have had to really be careful with it, have had to do alot laying around after class trying to keep the swelling down.... but at least there is SOME KIND silver lining.... im not fighting the unknown, and there are options available!! So there may just be a surgery in my future!! Other than that, I am so in love with the program, the instructions, Angie the owner!! If I have to miss a day, she is the first one texting to make sure I'm alright. Not trying to guilt trip, or accuse me of anything, she just genuinely knows what I'm up against, and honestly cares how I'm feeling!! Its been great getting to know all instructors, and fellow students!! A HUGE bright spot in my life!! So here's to getting through week eight!! Omgoodness!! I cant believe how hard it's been trying to get back into the swing of things.... I've been so scared!! Negative Self Talk can be so insidious.... I didn't realize just how much I was beating myself down, until I sat down to film and ended up breaking down. I'm so afraid of being a disappointment or letting people down, it's had me almost paralyzed.... you'd think I'd never done makeup before!! 😅 But with a little pep Talk from my two INCREDIBLE boys and a reminder of why I even do this in the first place, got all my creative energy flowing again. I decided to do a look using one of my all time favorite palettes, and a look I know I feel beautiful in.... and omgoodness by just a few minutes in, the excitement started to build and I remembered just how much I love creating!! And being able to share it with all of you, with the hope of maybe even being able to help some people along the way!! It all means so much!! ⚠️⚠️ CODE BLUE!!..... 🤷‍♀️ CODE BROWN!!...?? SEND HELP!! ⚠️⚠️ Omgoodness ya'll she was so pretty!!!! I got her on clearance, brought her home, gave her some serious TLC and she just came back to life!! But over this past week she has been SERIOUSLY going down hill, and I dont know what to do for her.... I've never taken care of this type of plant before.... im not sure if she needs trimmed/pruned or what the issue is.... if you have any ideas, please let me know.... I've already lost one special plant this summer I really don't want to lose another.... Even in this picture you can see how much it moves WITH the skin!! Instead of bunching up in my expression lines!! Application: For my skin type, which is.... Sensitive, Combo leaning dry, aging, large pores, texture and scaring, as well as the expected fine lines and wrinkles that make being over 40 so much fun!! Lmbo!! After cleansing and skincare.... I have been going in with the @touchinsolus_sub NO Pore Blem primer, giving that a minute or two to just really sink into and become one with my skin.... then go in with the foundation.... I have used a brush, sponge, and my fingers to apply.... if your having issues with aging textured skin, sometimes the warmth of your hands can make ALL the difference in REALLY working a product into the skin, so for me using my fingers is the preferred method.... but it blends in beautifully no matter what you use!! Though I always recommend when using a brush to go back in with a slightly damp sponge and just tapping over the face, this can SO help if you went a little heavy handed, its just a good trick to insure smooth even coverage every time for pretty much any foundation, but not necessary in anyway!! @beautybakeriemakeup #flourpowder !! Looks AMAZING!! over this foundation and creates an even MORE flawless and blurred complexion, the two are just meant for one another I swear!! And to finish I have been using the tarte shape tape setting spray!! It just helps marry everything together and your left with the most FLAWLESS finish whether on camera or IRL it just looks.... well.... FLAWLESS!! If you need any application recommendations don't hesitate to ask!! This is my favorite part of reviewing new products!! Hope this helps!! If you do get this foundation, omgoodness!! Please let me know what YOUR first impressions are, and I'd love to see pictures!! It really does help me bring the most accurate information possible and that just makes me happy!! YA'LL MY HEADS GOING TO BLOW OFF MY SHOULDERS I SWEAR!! I dont understand WHAT or WHY this keeps happening... the last tutorial some how became corrupted and I cant figure out how to fix it... now I just got done editing the Trans Pride Look, render and export it, go to try and post it, and it is saying the video is too long, if you look, its 12 minutes like 21 seconds or something like that so CLEARLY not too long to upload onto IG... This has happened repeatedly, I can't tell you how many tutorials I have just sitting around because IG won't let me upload them... I have a theory as to what is happening because I have found a common thread with all of them, Every SINGLE one that has done this, have been videos that ran over the 15 minute mark in raw footage, it doesn't seem to matter how much I cut away, either the editing software I am using isn't actually removing the edits from the file, which I can't even wrap my head around that because I'm cutting material out, and throwing it in the trash, clearly it's no longer part of the video... but Every single time, IG boots it out like I'm trying to upload over 15 minutes worth of footage... I literally have to start completely over with the raw footage and cut that down to below 15 minutes, which sucks because I have to use the editor on my phone, and it only allows me to remove footage from the beginning and end, and THEN take THAT footage and re-upload it to the editing software... etc etc etc. 🙄😪🤦‍♀️🥰 But ill get on that right now... I'm sorry for such a down and sullen post, especially during pride.... but the truth is depression and mental health struggles don't care what time of year it is, or how badly you just want to be happy.... please don't take this as me excepting defeat, nothing could be further from the truth.... I've got a summer full of memories to make with my Sons, and collabs to look forward to, Tutorials to film.... A GIVEAWAY to plan.... and a REALLY important project with my son to film, edit, and upload to my YouTube channel.... I cant even begin to explain how scared but ready I am to share my story with the world. I hope it helps people.... All I have ever wanted to do is help people.... To live a good life, be a good person, good mother, good friend.... But we all have a breaking point, and sadly when I broke, there was no net.... before I even had a chance to understand what was happening to me I was lost in a world so dark, it seemed impossible to break free from.... it rips my heart out to think about all of the people still lost in that darkness, drowning in shame, and stuck in the cycle of fear and self-loathing.... I cant say I have all the answers or even have it all figured out.... But what I do KNOW unequivocally!! Is that recovery IS possible, LASTING sobriety IS possible.... I pray so hard people will find hope in my story.... But that is still a little ways off.... I definitely still have alot of work to do &I am SO DETERMINED to find my way through this, it's just really hard when your fighting alone.... there are days like today when it gets so dark that the sadness is actually suffocating... the feeling of being pulled down, and the fear of losing control again is beyond terrifying... on days like today when I am feeling especially fragile, and begin to recognize those horribly toxic thought patterns... it is SO important to stay present, speak your truth, stay accountable, find outlets, and continue to work towards your happyness... thats all we can really do...
