hello friends! here are a few headcanons i have abt the bakusquad's family. this doesn't include bakugou since we have already seen his family, and i personally don't hc him to have siblings.

these are my personal headcanons, so you don't have to agree with them!

KIRISHIMA

Parents

- Kirishima Akane, mother

Akane is a caring, stubborn, and excitable woman with red eyes and bobbed, messy black hair. She has a small but athletic build.

Her quirk is called Durability. Her body can take a lot of force and hits without being damaged. A side effect is chronic pain, however.

She loves musicals and camping! Sometimes she plays the maternal character in local musicals!

Was a delinquent and spent a lot her high school years in juvenile detention. It was mostly for vandalism. 

Middle school teacher

- Kirishima Chizue, mother

Chizue is a headstrong, boisterous, and sometimes emotional woman with long brown hair and dark red eyes. The underside of her hair is dyed burgundy. She is quite buff and has cool tattoos.

Her quirk is Hardening. The same as Eijirou, she can harden any part of her body like a rock!

She used to be a derby girl and loves dogs! Coaches derby in the summer!

Siblings

- Nakano, younger sister (13)

Nakano is a polite yet grumpy girl who seems uninterested in most things that aren't her friends or music. Very pre-teen angst!! She has short black hair with one buzzed side and dark red eyes. The end of her hair is dyed purple.

Her quirk is Diamond Impact. it allows her skin to be nearly impenetrable so long as whatever comes into contact with it is using force. the stronger the impact, the harder the skin. she could fall from a building and be fine but could easily be impaled if it happened slow enough.

She loves music and wants to be in a riot grrrl band! Does derby in the summer.

- Manami, youngest sister (11)

Manami is a sweet girl with a ton of sass built up for her brother. She has long, messy dark brown hair and pinkish-red eyes.

Her quirk is Stone Skin. her skin can harden as if it were concrete. Unlike Eijirou, her skin isn't sharp, just rough.

She loves acting and is usually in local musicals and plays with her mother!

She wants to be an actress!

KAMINARI

Parents

- Kaminari Hikari, mother

Hikari is a closed-off and distant woman. She has long blonde hair with black streaks and golden eyes.

Her quirk is Electrification, the same as Denki's.

Hikari hasn't been very present in Denki's life within the past few years. He goes home to an empty house most holidays, so he prefers to stay in the dorms. She doesn't speak to Denki much, and he never met his father.

- Kamanari Izanami, aunt

Izanami is a peppy and boisterous woman with short yellow hair and black underneath. Her eyes are also gold.

Her quirk is Electricity; she can fully control electricity and conduct it through her body.

Izanami has taken care of Denki for the past few years. He calls her Iza and usually goes to her house in the city for holidays.

She works as a sidekick at an energy-based agency!! She does tech most of the time.

Denki doesn't always feel at home at Izanami's house because he comes from a low-income family, but he appreciates her kindness nonetheless.

SERO

Parents

- Sero Carla

Carla is a vivacious, stubborn, and banterous woman. She has short, curly black hair and brown eyes. She is short and stocky and has an ocean-based tattoo sleeve.

Her quirk is Cellophane. She can produce cellophane from slits in her forearms, but has to eat a lot of vegetables in order to sustain her quirk. It biodegrades after a month.

She is a pescatarian and used to be a photographer when she was young.

She is a marine biologist!

- Sero Natsuo

Natsuo is fully absent from Hanta's life. He was arrested when Hanta was five and hasn't been seen since.

Quirk: Sticky Hands. His hands have the same stickiness as tape. You can take a wild guess at what he was arrested for.

Siblings

- Risa, older sister (17)

Risa is a pessimistic, edgy, yet considerate young lady. She has a short, wavy brown mullet and grey eyes. She is tall and thin and has a septum and eyebrow piercing. She also has a small tattoo of a starfish on her ribcage. Hanta is the only person who knows about it and has been threatened severely. 

Her quirk is Tape. Essentially, it’s the same quirk as Hanta’s, although her tape comes from slits in her palms. 

She attends a lot of garage band gigs. There’s a punk band on the rise called Siren and is considering asking if they need a manager. 

She wants to work in childcare. 

- Kichi, younger sister (14)

Kichi is a devious, fearless and brilliant person. They have curly brown hair that reaches above their shoulders and black eyes. She is tall and sturdy and has a nose ring.

Her quirk is called Stick. Whatever two items she touches will stick together for up to five hours! The smaller the objects, the longer they stay together.

They are scrunkly and evil and like to pull incredibly intricate pranks. Hanta *handshake* Kichi = being evil, middle-child enbies. 

They want to be a marine biologist!!

- Hanako, youngest sister (10)

Hanako is a lively, generous, and slightly manipulative girl. She gets what she wants by being sweet! She has long, wavy brown hair and grey eyes.

Her quirk is Cellophane. She produces cellophane just like her mother, but she does have the same elbows Hanta has. He has helped her a lot with body positivity!

She is an anime and manga gworl!! Ghibli kid all the way and loves Pokemon. Grew up with that pure 2008 energy.

She wants to be a farmhand! Very specific, Hanako!!!

ASHIDO

Parents

- Ashido Esoesa, mother

Eseosa is a loud, peppy, and spirited woman. She is short and curvy with an incredibly athletic build. She has short, black, natural hair, dark skin, and yellow eyes. 

Her quirk is Chlorine. She can breathe out chlorine gas that can cause respiratory issues for those who inhale it. She can also produce solidified chlorine by condensing the gas. 

Eseosa used to be a competitive swimmer.

Eseosa is a dance instructor. 

- Ashido Mako, father

Mako is a gentle, humble, and affectionate man. He is tall and round and has pink skin. He is balding, but the hair he has left is pink as well. His sclera are black and his irises are red. He has yellow horns that curl back.

His quirk is Corrosion. He emits a gel-like substance that causes whatever it touches to degrade and deteriorate until it’s gone. 

He likes baking! 

Mako is a CSI cleaner! His quirk is very useful when removing biohazards. 

Siblings

- Mitsuki, older sister (18)

Mitsuki is an idealistic, domineering and adventurous young woman. She has a shaved head, dark pink skin, and red irises/black sclera. Her horns are short and curled back and a little orange. She is short and chubby. 

Mitsuki’s quirk is Eucalyptol. The effects of her quirk clear respiratory and inflammatory issues. She is able to secrete the chemical from her pores as a liquid. It smells incredibly minty and cool! It makes her eyes burn on occasion. 

She is severely allergic to horses. She had to go to the emergency room as a child after visiting a petting zoo. 

She is interested in pharmaceuticals. 

- Masato, older brother (18)

Masato is a nurturing, charming and bold young man. He has short, curly pink hair and dark pink skin. He does not have horns. His irises are red and his sclera is black. He is short and purely shapeless. A real rectangle of a man. He is so torso. 

Masato’s quirk is Chloroform. He produces a chloroform gas from his mouth that causes anyone around him to either get sick or pass out. It does not work on himself, but it does make him very dizzy if he overuses it.

He is afraid of bugs. Mostly bees.

He wants to go into marketing! He’s been interning at a hero marketing firm recently. 

- Mori, younger brother (11)

Mori is an ambitious, compassionate, yet cowardly young man. He typically has short black box braids, dark skin that seems almost purple, and yellow eyes/black sclera. He has relatively larger horns that curl considerably longer back. 

His quirk is called Acid Blood. It’s pretty self-explanatory -- his blood is highly infused with acid. He is able to control it minimally, but only directly from a wound.

He has a bit of vitiligo on his arms and knees, though it’s caused by his quirk which naturally bleaches patches of skin where he bruises (bc. blood vessels break during bruises and,, acid blood lol). The bleached patches are light pink!

He wants to be a dancer.

- Muika, younger sister (8)

Muika is a very stubborn and blunt girl, but she is also incredibly wise! She has pink skin, long black hair, and orange eyes/black sclera. She is small and athletic (dance). She has no horns. 

Muika’s quirk is Acid. It’s the same exact quirk as Mina! The acid she produces, however, is thick and (unlike Mina) she cannot control the viscosity.

She hates okra. There is okra in nearly every meal at the Ashido house. She chokes back a gag every time.

She will be a pro-hero! She will. She insists. 

JIROU

- we're already familiar with kyouka's parents, so i'll skip them -- tho i do like to think her dad works for Put Your Hands Up Radio

Siblings

- Kioshi, older brother (19)

Kioshi is a quiet, observant, and cool man. He is tall and slim and has a blond mullet and purple eyes.

His quirk is Earphone Jack, the same as his mother and sister.

He is in a punk band called Siren as the lead guitarist and singer.

Though him and Kyouka don't see much of each other anymore, they get along extremely well. She looks up to him a LOT.

SHINSOU

Parents

- Shinsou Hibiki, mother

Hibiki is a teasing, relentless, and ornery woman. She has medium-length purple hair that won't lay flat and purple eyes. She is covered in tattoos and piercings.

Hibiki's quirk is Echo. She can cause anyone to repeat her actions as long as she gets them to respond to a verbal command initially.

Hibiki is an optometrist.

Hitoshi looks just like his mother!

- Shinsou Sana, father

Sana is a quiet, perceptive, and laid-back man. He is very tall with longish, dark purple-blue hair and navy eyes.

Sana's quirk is Insomnia. His quirk drains the energy of others, but makes them unable to rest.

Sana is an avid cat lover! He has three personal cats. 

Sana is a sleep analyst.

absolutely!!

okay so the majority of their tiktok is denki and mina like i said

they do a lot of dance videos together -- denki is really good at swing dancing!!

they do dance challenges and joint cosplays sometimes

mina and kiri really like doing the couple's filter/sounds videos

eventually people start to catch on that everyone's dating when mina makes a sound for a couple's meme thing but it features more than two options/scenarios/sounds very vague with numbers

hanta and denki and you make the cursed side of tiktok videos

with hanta being very flexible & good at jumping it's probably a lot of those short, fast-paced ones of someone flying by and landing in a river or smth

hanta has his own podcast that he tries to get everyone in the class on at least once (if they're interested), and sometimes he records them, but katsuki actually really likes doing them with him so he's on there a lot!

in that vein, those clips of podcasters that post video snippets of some funny convo are often uploaded to the tok

i bet their account name is something like "polypocket" and has everyone's names tagged on the videos for who posted it

you probably post a lot of vids of you messing with katsuki or someone distantly saying smth that would piss him off

he rarely makes his own tiktoks but when he does they're usually short and to the point and funny asf

sometimes hanta just posts random clips of everyone from like. an old snap he saved. with no context. those are usually the ones that blow up

someone finally comments under one of the videos asking if they're poly & mina responds w a positive yes (after everyone says it's okay/if everyone agrees)!! fans pour in after that confirmation and you, mina, and eijirou are the spokespeople of a healthy relationship!

there are a lot of hate comments of course, but katsuki usually deals with those <3

eijirou asks if everyone will do a character selection video game style intro of themselves and pins it <3

it's just like a short five second thing with everyone's name/internet name, them doing a little idle animation pose, pronouns, and a few facts about them!

it can be dangerous broadcasting information like that while being minors and heroes on the rise, so a lot of information is kept private to ensure everyone's safety!

katsuki has short cooking videos with eijirou or mina who. cannot cook very well.

denki is, in fact, a great cook -- he usually had to make all his food at home, so he knows his way around a kitchen! he's just chaotic and katsuki is a control freak in the kitchen lmao

mina does dance, makeup, and fashion videos. a lot of her makeup videos are advocating for people with "unnatural" skin tones that have a harder time finding styles of makeup that complement them!

the fashion videos are usually done with hanta!!

hanta, of course, has high quality vids of aesthetically pleasing material. or fully cursed content. they play acoustic guitar with denki while he's on electric sometimes & it's very cute! they sing together :,))

eijirou has a lot of positivity things and healthy lifestyle tips as well as delving into his emo past. quality himbo content! a lot of "what can i do with my quirk" videos that you're usually a lovely assistant in

denki has the most chaotic and non-streamlined videos. a lot of storytimes of weird shit that's happened to them, sometimes book reviews, challenges with anyone he can get to join him, and short videos of him screaming on a skateboard going at way too high a speed

your videos would likely pertain to your certain interests, of course, but there's also a lot of pov vids. timelapses and kicking pieces of ice under the fridge with katsuki growling in the background and grabbing the phone out of your hand to chase you. you and hanta holding hands and jumpcuts to cute critters at a butterfly sanctuary. you and denki trying to tell a story at 3am but you're both laughing too hard to say anything. eijirou carrying you and screaming that he'll save you as he walks through a very shallow river and you giggling off screen. mina and you swapping clothes but they don't always fit right and you're both waddling around too far away from the camera and it looks really cursed.

aaaaalrighty so heights alliance is a big building, and not every dorm room is occupied,,

so in my mind,,, these are teenagers live together,, they aren’t just gonna let empty rooms go to waste. they for sure have decked at least a few of them out for various purposes, even if it’s just a half-assed fort or a study room or a storage room

anyway, surely there’s a vibe room that they claim for hangouts 

hanta definitely has one of those portable projectors you can plug into your phone/laptop

when it’s court-ordered movie night everyone just assumes he’s bringing it

hanta’s also a pro at pirating movies, so he’s usually on torrent duty

denki and mina have the best comfort materials, so they bring a lot of pillows and blankets and stuffed objects. eijirou usually helps them build a little structure for Maximum Comfort

eijirou usually brings packaged snacks whereas katsuki will physically make snack foods for everyone & get water & stuff

sometimes movie nights start because someone mentions a movie & suddenly everyone’s down to watch it!!

otherwise there’s a rotation of whose turn it is to pick

preferred movie genres:

mina: thriller, drama, sci-fi, rom-com, animation

katsuki: action, western, documentary, animation, rom-com

hanta: western, thriller, adventure, sci-fi, comedy

eijirou: musical, action, fantasy, horror, family

denki: animation, comedy, musical, fantasy, mystery

mina likes to do face masks & paint her nails while watching things 

will be very excited if you let her do yours!

denki also likes keeping his hands busy when watching a movie so that he can focus

will 1000% play with whatever is in reach. if you’re near him, it might be your fingers, your clothes, your hair, etc. 

he gets extremely focused if it’s a movie he likes & ceases his fumbling to grip whatever he’s holding pretty hard lol

denki will talk to eijirou throughout the movie if not properly distracted

hanta is a film connoisseur & will quietly critique to anyone if they want to hear. he usually keeps his commentary to himself if he or someone else hasn’t seen the movie before, however

will offer SO many facts, point out details that are easy to miss, talk about atmosphere and lighting, story elements that tie together, etc

katsuki prefers to be on the outer side of any cuddle-puddles simply because he gets too hot & sometimes is physically overstimulated by touch

eijirou wants to be touching someone the whole time. someone is usually in his lap

for sure has his hand resting on your stomach under your shirt if you’re laying on him & are comfortable with it

movies will not be played if subtitles aren’t available 

does the dog die? is used before every movie by hanta to make sure certain elements wont upset anybody 

there is a 75% chance katsuki will be asleep by the end of the movie depending on how late y’all start

eventually, if more than one movie is played, it’s likely that everyone will start talking while it plays in the background. at that point someone usually puts on a youtube video

at some point mina gets up to make everyone a hot beverage <3

hanta idly massages people in his vicinity so you might get one if you’re lucky & no one shoves you out of the way

denki is, inevitably, going to say something incredibly profound or incredibly idiotic 

usually something no one noticed or something that was blatantly obvious

“holy shit, did they switch bodies?!” “d this is freaky friday are you serious”

if you’re close enough to katsuki, he will put his cheek/chin against some part of you & give the occasional light kiss but you’re not allowed to talk about it

whoever falls asleep first is subject to various forms of tomfoolery that include but do not limit:

being drawn on

being moved

being fully pranked

being tickled

being bit

being used as a table

if there’s a kotatsu involved, eijirou is out like that. whoever is closest is going to be yoinked into his chest and not released until he wakes up or someone pries them out. he is a very heavy sleeper, especially when warm!!

anyone sharing blankets is getting kicked & shoved & touched with cold feet (hanta)

mina isn’t allowed by the projector because she keeps doing shadow puppets over the movies

in solidarity, katsuki throws things at the character’s faces when they do something he doesnt like

any film that has a suggestive/makeout/sex scene or whatever will be followed by loud cheering or loud booing depending on the day. sometimes gagging if it’s particularly cheesy 

^ tangentially, if it’s a chill viewing, heckling is near constant

Sero's Japanese VA has a mighty range and has mostly voiced pokemon.... So I bring to you:

Sero can do extremely accurate impressions of literally everyone in his class. It's genuinely terrifying.

He can also do spot on Pokemon cries which again- terrifying.

His vocal range is fucking wicked.

Which also makes him a good singer since he can switch notes so easily-

my girl 🥺

her mother is beninese & her father is japanese

she knows a good chunk of french & surprised yuga with a response the first time she heard him talking to himself!!! not completely fluent, but enough that she and her mom annoy tf out of her poor, clueless, malewife dad

she always forgets she speaks french until it’s brought up and she’s like AH BAH OUAIS MDR

has done dance her whole life: hip hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, urban, etc, but breakdancing has always been her fave!! 

loves a harajuku fashion moment & relishes in the fact that toru does too. we love our camp queens!!

sometimes they can convince shoto to join them & he looks darn cute

started the girls’ group chat (as well as the combo girls’ gc with 1b)

tries to schedule a 1a-1b girls night at least once a month!!!

midnight & thirteen are of course invited!! recovery girl is too, but she doesn’t come. she’s stopped by before to drop off some snacks she made & several girls cried & hugged her

once she tried to orchestrate a sleepover with all the girls at ua in gym gamma and it was an absolute nightmare & a partial bust. 

it was one of the most fun nights she’s ever had. definitely made it to the top five of hardest times she’s laughed

definitely advocates for female heroes early on and doesn’t take shit from anyone, especially men

she’s quick to destroy anyone who makes comments on her body/personal life rather than her work ethic/accomplishments

is specifically attached to ectoplasm and talks to him all the time outside of class. admires him a lot!! also thinks his quirk is “super swag”

hangs out with rikido and yuga a lot!! they’re both incredibly entertaining and super chill!

she is REALLY good at chemistry simply because of how much she’s hyper-focused on acids throughout her life

she actually has pH strips for when she wakes up to check her acidity. needless to say, watching her pop open a canister and put a piece of paper in her mouth was a little jarring after first moving into the dorms

she gets awful acid reflux/heartburn so she usually carries antacids :((

is the kind of person that likes the “weirder” animals/creatures when they’re pets/contained, but as soon as they’re in the wild she screams

like for sure loves a good spider building its web on a bridge but if she sees one in her room she’s sleeping with eijirou

denki freakin’ DOMINATES at strategy games

it’s definitely one of his surprise talents & he feels really good after receiving compliments, even if they’re backhanded (”oh, you’re really good at chess, kami! i’m surprised!”)

denki loves praise. he’s been looked down on most of his life, whether that be by his peers, his family, or himself. genuine compliments always strike him and render him speechless for once

he is THE best liar in 1a

(tw: family problems) i’ve briefly touched on it before, but he doesn’t have great home life. 

before moving into the dorms, he was basically always by himself since his mother was never home. he had to do most things himself, like clean/cook/etc and go shopping with what little money they had. 

he’s worked multiple part-time jobs, usually ones that involve electricity (like in heroes rising), just so he can buy necessities with his own money rather than have it go to waste on other things

he and his mother don’t have a good relationship regardless and he doesn’t feel comfortable being alone with her, so he would try to stay with his aunt whenever she wasn’t doing hero work

it seriously hurts his feelings when people don’t help him after he’s short-circuited. he was hoping that after coming to UA he might gather some friends that care about him enough to help him when he’s in obvious pain, but he’s still laughed at...

he voiced this to the bakusquad one day after a particularly bad short-circuit that left him in recovery girl’s office for a while. he broke down sobbing as he explained to them how it makes him feel when people watch him suffer and laugh like he’s doing it for their entertainment. 

it broke their hearts to see him so vulnerable, and after that they made it their mission to protect him when he over-does it. 

katsuki and hanta are particularly quick to fight anyone who tries to make fun of him

he touches his friends hands/arms/shoulders a lot when he gets excited. it’s super cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolutely loves pokemon. whenever they see pikachu in public they always point it out to whoever’s with them and go “he’s just like me fr” 

anyone other than mina/hanta/hitoshi are long-suffering

knows how to knit/crochet!!!

meeting eijirou’s moms for the first time was a TRIP bc once he found out one of them loves musicals too, he was immediately adopted

of course the baby loves literature and english!! him and momo always have the highest scores in english, and cementoss loves his input in his literature class

he actually considered doing his work study with mic for a little while, & as honored as mic was, he convinced him it was a better idea to train under someone he didn’t know for more experience

he really admires kamui and enjoys talking to shiozaki outside of school!!

after being around m*neta for a few months in their first year, denki quickly realized that he’s not the kind of person they want to hang around...

him & kyoka hang out all the time!! they like trying out different restaurants that have live music whenever they have free time. sometimes mashirao, hitoshi, koji, or izuku join them since they like low-key digs

love-hate relationship with storms. 

loves them because they’re pretty, they smell good, he likes to look at the clouds & see the rain & see the lightning & hear the thunder with his nose pressed against the glass, likes to walk around after it’s finished, etc.

hates them because it gives him a lot of anxiety, makes him incredibly staticky, they make him nauseous, he’s super jumpy, and if he’s anywhere outside/near windows he’s at high risk for being a human lightning rod

that not only endangers others, but himself because of how much voltage his body is taking in at once

he gets annoyed when anyone who isn’t his friend asks him to charge something

if he offers, it’s fine -- but if he doesn’t know you and you’re like “i hear you are a power bank” he will roll his eyes and say something snarky

resident hoodie thief. no one’s clothes are safe in the dorms

he loves hanging out in everyone’s room if they’re cool with it!! he’s rarely in his own unless he’s playing games/needs alone time

one of the top three people aizawa commonly finds sleeping in weird places (the other two are ochako and hitoshi)
