Hi guys!

Im Roswell- and there is a severe lack of continuous byler fanfic recommendations! As someone who refreshes the Ao3 tag for new byler fics, I figured i’d be the change in the world id want to see.

This is the original post that started this all.

I hope to every Saturday post a list of at least 5-10 fics, their links, names, and little blurbs of what happens and my thoughts! (i’m a little sporadic however- so if one isn’t posted on saturday it should be out sometime in the week!)

You can also submit fics you recommend- your own or otherwise! Obviously i’ll go through them before and add my own thoughts or not too, but you can ask to get tagged for those. Submission rules as in the guidelines.

on the flip side- if you’d like a specific fic recommended- like domestic fluff, one of them gets vecnaed, they’re both in college- stuff like that, feel free to send an ask and i’ll look through my archive!

Between The Shadow And The Soul will byers with powers........ give it to me. all the memories and descriptions of how will uses them and el being supportive i am waving my hands around.

I don't mind if you look at me :] mike. mike mike mike. hes so. mike. head full of rocks and thoughts of will tbh.

all this time (how could you not know?) Will byers. hes too selfless to the point of sacraficing stuff he dosent need to let go and this fic potrays him SO WELL. will loves mike so much but wants the best for him and thinks thats el but its not and its so obvious to everyone but him.

all this and heaven too the fact the soulmate part is... so subtle and yet a big part of the story makes me yearn. the way its described??? how they get close again? love it.

friend of my brother is my enemy (or something like that) <- this fic. Byler dosent get together but i think its the GOLD STANDARD of mike himself getting johnathan'ed. It does have a lot of serious and hard hitting conversaion topics but they way jonathan reacts... beautiful. so in character. i think of it every time byler gets jonathan'ed in any other fic.

and then these theyre already in a relationship but mike still gets the Pep Talk haha- If i find any more of either i will reblog with those!

Fic Rec #5! Mike is so in love with Will

drag me down, my gilded sun (our orphic song) this fic??? literal poetry. i adore every single detail about them, mikes so in love and its so beautiful. poetry

Kiss me in the rain ICONIC. spider man kiss!!!! its super short and takes place in like. a minuite BUT the way the author drags it out in such a nice way and switches point of veiws seamlessly i adore it

Patron Saint of Lost Boys i fucking love eddie when hes like. a gay mentor and the fucking FRUITY FOUR HERE robin eddie and steve just are like "mikes being a dick cmere will" i adore it. also how mike has reasoning even though we cant see it but we sympathize after we find out very in character

you can hear it in the silence the way i want to. eat this fic is incredible. mike and will are so in character, and all of mikes little quirks about will... the GIFTS i love mikes thoughts for the gifts and aougahgah just read it pls before i combust thinking about it.

it makes you crazy ive reccomened johnathan as the cool older brother who gives pep talks a billion times but its also. iconic. this one is also so in character for him, as many "i wanna explode your head" looks he gives, i do think he truly cares for mike and just wants him to be happy and this fic showcases that so well.

eyecatcher THIS ONE. jelly mike is a TREAT especially since Will does pull all the girls. I love how will is also very respectful here- im not sure if he knows full well that these girls are intrested and hes like ":) sorry girlie" or if hes genuinly oblivious but the way mike acts and his realization MWAH 10/10

home is where the heart is what would it be without college byler. they are just so happy together. ups and downs of being an adult paired with mike being very in love with will??? amazing

Hours (of telling you about) the way i stayed up SO late to read this... i adore the premise and how will and mike get to know each other in older age. the way the upside down is described as Mikes book and how they connect is so MWAH and i love the whole cafe vibe very nice

practice makes perfect this ones a lil 😳 but i LOVE it... both will and mikes pov and how they differ and the diffrences in how like things are described and it DOES fully feel like a seperate person thinking i LOVE it (oh and also the kissing yknow)
