I swear Jacob has the biggest heart🥹That man is always giving flowers to his above the line and below the line co workers. In an environment that currently doesn’t value film and tv workers it’s refreshing to have someone of his caliber value the people that don’t often get thanked for their work. But also and maybe selfishly, doing black hair on a tv show shouldn’t be a hard task to accomplish. Especially when one of your leads has been there since the very first season. The point of Jacob saying “you made him look like someone loves him” carries a lot of weight and meaning because more often than not black talent have to beg production for someone who specializes in our hair or they have to pay for their own out of pocket. The fact he had to say this means theirs so much more work to do in an industry that claims to love its black talent.

Yes, and Verne is a Black woman but she's not the lead hairstylist on the show, who have been for the past two seasons, white.

I'm so happy they both got to work with each other and the experience was so rewarding in both directions but what has been left unsaid around the edges is... ugh.
