Both not interested in each other romantically but are absolutely best friends and probably kiss each other on the cheek when they meet up and everyone sorta thinks they're together and they never deny it but they know they're not together and never will be

Oh, I hardcore played Tadius as being absolutely smitten by her. But your interpretation is also valid! For me, Tadius looks at her with a sense of profound respect and awe but also is taken with her kindness, her honesty, and of course, she's absolutely beautiful, so it's no wonder he falls for her real fast. Whether or not she reciprocates is almost irrelevant to THIS story because first and foremost, he will serve her loyally.
