My hips and thighs are in so much pain from all of my running, moving around all day at work, and then leg day followed by cardio yesterday...I'm in death mode and can no longer stay on my feet. Today was a rest day (obviously).
Tomorrow, I'm not sure what to do. Probably upper body, but I'll be so busy prepping for other stuff for my weekend I might end up cutting it down to a short workout. I know I have to go, though, since I'm taking the weekend off.
We shall see.
It’s TIME TO LET GO OF EXCUSES!
Your excuses are what stand in the way between you and your goals. You CAN find a way around them. Excuses are obstacles, not road blocks!!
All of this is so right.
Transformation Tuesday!! Anyone can become who they want to be, no matter what it is. Be your most beautiful self!

Why I Run
This year, I began running. And ever since, I keep hearing people say to me, "But running is so haaaard!" Well, yes, it is. It's physically exhausting and mentally challenging and...hard. Your knees hurt, your ankles hurt, your calves hurt, your back hurts...everything hurts on a regular basis. But, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Running is an addiction. Just like every other workout, the endorphins released into your brain creates a chemical addiction to where if you don't have them daily, your body will end up revolting against you. You'll get cranky, tired, and drained if you don't get what you need. Running (and working out in general) become a drug, and you reach a point where you can't live without it.
I love running. It's a huge sense of accomplishment to me when I reach and surpass goals I set for myself before I step out the door. There is also a huge sense of empowerment when I feel my legs pushing me up a hill and suddenly, I've reached the top! Just last weekend, I finally topped a hill I've been trying to run up for weeks now. The sense you get when you can't help but smile to yourself and you whisper "holy shit" over your music because you just did something you never could before physically? There's no comparison.
I hate running. I know, I just said I love it. But ask ANY runner and there comes a point (probably several points) in their run...it could be half a mile in, or even 10 miles in...but there's a point they reach where they want soooo badly to give up. Running sucks. I have a shirt that says so. I'll post a picture of it soon. But, it's true, and I'll say it again. Running sucks. You're sweaty, you're tired, sometimes it hurts to breathe, sometimes your foot cramps up, sometimes your inner calves are screaming to you to STOP!! But, you HAVE to keep going. Because despite how much you hate it, you still love it.
It makes me look (and feel) gooood! Losing weight is WAY more than just a physical experience. There's so much that changes in your mind, your self-esteem, and your understanding of true beauty versus what the media shoves down your throat.
BUT! There is absolutely nothing wrong with falling in love with how awesome you look when the pounds start to drop. Your excitement for running increases dramatically because hey, it's working! The fine line comes when you reach the dreaded plateau. Your body eventually will get used to running an 11 minute mile. So you need to push yourself harder and harder and harder every time. Some days will be good, some days will suck completely. But most days, you'll realize how much you can do, how far you can go, and how amazing you can not only look, but feel. Don't give up.
The Truth About My Journey
I've had quite a few people come to me over the past couple of weeks and ask me what my secret is. I've heard everything from, "You inspire me", to "I joined a gym because of you", to "How did you lose all that weight?"
First off, that's incredibly flattering to hear, so here's a big THANK YOU to everyone who has turned to me for fitness and weight loss advice!! It warms my heart to know I have inspired others to begin/restart/continue their own journeys to a healthy body. It's not something I really expected to do, but I'm truly glad to know I have.
However...
I wish I could say I had a magic cure for losing a bunch of weight. I do, technically, but you're probably not going to like it. Losing weight is hard work. If you see people walking around that are really in shape with nice, muscular shoulders, rock hard abs and toned legs, it's because they work their ass off EVERY DAY to get to where they are...especially if they were significantly overweight or obese to begin with.
So, because of all these people coming to me for advice, I'm reopening my blog to my fitness journey and how I've done it so far. Feel free to follow along and even incorporate some of my learning experiences into your own journey. Don't be afraid to ask questions...everything will remain anonymous and I'll simply just answer and explain what I can.
Also, don't hesitate to celebrate your wins with me!!! Did you finally run that mile non-stop? Or maybe you hit 25 sit-ups in a row...whatever it is, celebrate!!! That's my first word of advice to you: celebrate your wins! Life isn't about focusing on the negative. Positivity goes a looooong way in your fitness journey.
Good luck and keep sweating!
I really don’t care what kind of blogs you have, This deserves a reblog
man the last image really got me..
The second to last really killed me.
A simple thing we see frequently on the Internet being put into the perspective of real life.
The last one put me to tears all I can think is my grandpa and how much I miss him
I don’t advocate war but the I have a lot of love for the victims of it. These put things into perspective.
I don’t think it’s really bashing on photos with the quotes on them. I think it’s just giving a diffferent perspective, and I’m glad someone isn’t being an idiot about it.
😭😭😭😭😭
I find these striking.
why are women’s bodies so sexualized that they can’t even FEED A CHILD
In the UK, it is illegal for an establishment to treat a breast feeding woman differently to any other customer or ask her to leave/stop. Prejudice against breast feeding is recognised as discrimination and any establishment found guilty of it faces a hefty fine. This includes restaurants, leisure centres and swimming pools… literally anywhere, even in the park.
