I feel as though Eva’s mindset throughout the killing game and beyond can be easily explained through the usage of a slightly Ironic metaphor.

See, as a kid she was bullied for her proficiencies in math and science. I have no doubt this is the truth, there’s certainly no reason to lie about it.

Being bullied as a kid is sort of like being told to cook something on the stove. You do it, and you get burnt. Really badly. But you can’t LEAVE, the meal has to cook, and your hand continues to burn. Once you leave, you swear to never let yourself get burnt again. So you start avoiding stoves, getting takeout instead of actual meals, or just not eating.

But then it might get worse. Instead of eventually moving on and coming to terms with your childhood injury, you might end up thinking every source of fire is a potential hazard. Then you think every potential source of fire is a hazard. And eventually, you start retreating from everything, calling even entirely benign objects dangerous because they theoretically could spontaneously combust.

Eva avoids trusting the others in order to avoid being hurt, and even when members of the group are very genuinely caring towards her, she shys away because the others sparked, so everyone has to be a blazing inferno. Everyone wants to burn her. The burn on her hand DIDN’T go away, and instead she keeps touching it, poking it, irritating it. It’s everyone else’s fault she’s hurting, not hers. Never hers.

The traitor perk is simply another natural progression of this, being able to get what she sees as revenge against the flames that supposedly continue to burn her.

This isn’t to say Eva is morally good or bad. I don’t think such a thing exists in danganronpa, nor real life. It’s to say that had she accepted help- or, yes, gotten some therapeutic intervention, perhaps she wouldn’t be so quick to paint herself as a victim, even while holding the murder weapon.

2. what's your take on LMK Nezha season 4 and how bad he felt about Wukong's circumstances in the Diyu with MK (ignoring Macass tbh cause this aint about him) but he didn't want to do anything that went against his father until MK encouraged him that the monkie kids and Wukong meant well and he finally actually stood up to Li Jing aughkgkn my heart :( poor man

- emmet hadn’t been answering corbeau’s texts all day (extremely strange); it worried corbeau to no end

- malamar found emmet by chance; malamar’s goal was to find someone strong

- adder told corbeau to stay in his office while he went down to confront emmet

- this was an extraction mission; the rust syndicate needed to infiltrate a gala and it was imperative that corbeau be there in person

- emmet was chosen for the mission because he’s relatively unknown to any rival syndicate

- corbeau wears makeup daily but it’s usually just a bit of eyeliner and contour

- pokemon aren’t allowed at the gala; emmet managed to sneak a couple joltik past security however
