Ranting about this here cuz im thinking about it again and have nobody to talk about it to but

Mia Winters *SUCKS* and people who think her and ethan are a good couple are WRONG.

for one, shes not even a very compelling character. Her only major actions are lying to her husband and supporting bioterrorism and not even in a cool twist character way. She doesnt keep fighting for whatever the cause is or what she believes in and you're just supposed to feel bad for her or forgive her or something? Im not even sure if the people who wrote these games want you to think shes a good person but all the in game characters act like she is. Shes treated like a misguided teenager who has turned her life around and learned what she was doing was bad, but shes an adult woman who knew what she was doing was VERY bad.

And its not like i dont think people should like her because shes an 'evil' character, because i completely understand liking characters like wesker. Hes a twist bad guy who keeps getting away and making more world destroying viruses and hes obviously a bad guy and thats what makes him an interesting character. Hes standing on business.

It cant even be argued that despite the bioterrorism she loves her husband, because she was fr actively putting his life in danger and lying to him about it. Her job is not the kind of job where you can be married to someone who isnt also in on it unless you dont care if they die!!!! Even if it wasnt the same danger as walking into a house of mold-possessed people it was still looming mortal danger.

And yeah ethan is kinda stupid for not thinking something was wrong with him when he can stick his limbs back on all willy nilly but she stresses so hard about it and then lies about it and like. Actually yeah no i think that one may be on ethan for not noticing but mia stresses about it so bad and tbh if we are going to have this work she needs to realize her man is stupid enough to not notice hes built funky and move on with life.

ALSO ETHAN BEING MOLD IS HER FAULT???

Is it not a little greedy to put a mans life in danger because he doesnt know you are making evil mold and then when he is evil mold because he died saving you from mold prison not like. Tell him to stay away from your predisposition to fucked up shit. Maybe she coulda even told him he was mold now and they could go separate ways if hes mad about it or something but they could definitely talk it out? Idk if shes scared he might get depressed or something knowing hes mold or if shes scared he might leave her for the fact its kinda alot her fault tbh.

And aside from that why are they even still together????? Who wants to be with a bioterrorist who lied to you for your whole marriage and whos omission of details got you into the moldy swamp haunted house extravaganza as an unwilling guest preformer??? I would regret trying to save her the second i learned she was in any way responsible for what was happening in there. And fuck dude maybe its just cause ethan is kinda dumb, he has less brain to make space for more heart. I CANT BE MAD AT ANY OF THE CHARACTERS BUT WHAT ACTUALLY PISSES ME OFF IS THE PEOPLE WHO ACT LIKE DISLIKING MIA ISNT ALLOWED. SHES A BORING CHARACTER WHO DOES BAD THINGS AND IS FORGIVEN FOR THEM FOR NO REASON AND ITS STUPID AND MAKES THE GAME WORSE IMO.

im not gonna lie this is totally targeted at some specific folks who act like its a crime to dislike mia for any reason. RE has so many other women characters who are built better than mia, at this point im half convinced these people just want to fuck mia or think shes hot or smth like bro shes a video game character she aint gonna let u hit. Chill.
