Could we crash tumblr if we all posted the word "crash" on the 1st of april 2022, 12:35 EST?
Everyone schedule
Pm
Doing it again since I accidentally put the wrong time zone
Event Time Announcer shows time for Tumblr - Crash in locations all over the world. In New York it happens on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 12:35
So everyone can find their time :3
You may ask, "Jenna, why do you want this? Isn't there enough suffering in the world?" Well, you are right. But I want to scare the owners of this site. Not @staff, you know damn well they don't actually call the shots. No, i want to scare the people who make decisions. I want them to know that we can act as a unit and wreck shit on our own accord, that this community can move mountains. I want them to hesitate next time they make an announcement. Popular sovereignty, motherfuckers.
I know most people know this but some people in the notes don't, so reminder that you don't have to wake up or anything to post it, just schedule the post like this:
now you just hit the blue schedule and forget about it until the day it happens š

These dudes are fucking legit. Ā They donāt just show up one day in court, either, they actually make friends with the kids and let them know they have a support system and that there are people in the world who care about them and will always have their back. Ā And less important, but also cool, is that the few times a couple of them have come into my cafe, theyāve been super friendly and polite and when I told one of the guys that I noticed his Bikers Against Child Abuse patch and wanted him to know how awesome I thought he was because of it, he got kind of shy and blushed and said, āThe kids are the awesome ones, we just let them know theyāre allowed to be brave.ā
The source is long, but so, so good. These men and women are available in 36 states, 24 hours a day to stand guard at home, in court, at school, even if the child has a nightmare. Many of them are survivors of childhood abuse as well, and know what itās like to feel scared and alone.
In court that day, the judge asked the boy, āAre you afraid?ā No, the boy said.
Pipes says the judge seemed surprised, and asked, āWhy not?ā
The boy glanced at Pipes and the other bikers sitting in the front row, two more standing on each side of the courtroom door, and told the judge, āBecause my friends are scarier than he is.ā
Actual tears.. hnngh
Show me more of people like this, world. I give up on humans too easily.
where do i sign up for this,i want to be in this gang
This is fucking amazing. It may be out of character for me to say this but rock on
Bikers Against Child Abuse was founded in 1995 by a Native American child psychologist whose ride name is Chief, when he came across a young boy who had been subjected to extreme abuse and was too afraid to leave his house. He called the boy to reach out to him, but the only thing that seemed to interest the child was Chiefās bike. Soon, some 20 bikers went to the boyās neighborhood and were able to draw him out of his house for the first time in weeks.
Chiefās thesis was that a child who has been abused by an adult can benefit psychologically from the presence of even more intimidating adults that they know are on their side. āWhen we tell a child they donāt have to be afraid, they believe us,ā Arizona biker Pipes told azcentral.com. āWhen we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us.ā ( Article)
More about BACA, from their site
My parents are a part of this organization and they are metal af
They go on runs to protect the child if they feel even the slightest threatened no matter where. If the child needs them to go on vacation with them, they do. Bikers come from across the nation to watch over and take shifts for these kids. And the best part is once youāre adopted into this family as a BACA kid, youāre always one. Even when youāre 40 and the perp gets released from jail, theyāll come meet with you and find your best options for avoiding the person and maintaining the life youāve built for yourself. Once a BACA child, always a BACA child. In Florida, thereās 100% rate for identifying the perp based on the childās testimony. Why? Because BACA stands with the child and supports the child so they feel comfortable enough to point out their attacker.
Whatās better than a badass biker gang being on your side???
NATIVE AMERICAN CHILD PSYCHOLOGIST WHO IS A BIKER AND NAMED HIMSELF CHIEF HELL YES IāM HERE FOR THAT AND BIKERS BEING BAD ASS TO PROTECT KIDS. HELL YEAH.
itās back! I will always reblog BACA
Damn good people.
I know they wouldnāt consider themselves such, but these people are freaking heroes and the world is a better place because of them.Ā
Hey folks, it talks about this in the article but its not mentioned in this post, BACA is a 501 Ā© (3) charity that depends in part on donations to help pay for stuff like gas for their bikes. If you want to help, consider donating.Ā
@copperbadge You like posting about heroes, Sam. Seems like this would be up your alley.
I love these folks! Iāve reblogged them before but itās wonderful to see the donation information has been added.Ā
Always reblog. Keep doing what youāre doing y'all.
Guys? This post changed my life. I saw this post. Forever ago. And thought it was only in america⦠and wished desperately that they could help me. But then I saw it again, during a bad episode, and checked their site. They arenāt just in the USA
Theyāre in Canada as well and probably other countries. I met and talked with a native guy who runs the place near me. His name is Shaman. I got in, and Iām considered a BACA child now. Despite being 17, turning 18 when I talked to them. They spent time with me when my abuser was over, they gave me therapy resources. They give you something called aĀ ālevel 1ā² where they go to your house with as many bikers as they can, i shit you not a solid 20-40 bikers came from even out of province, and met me. I got to choose my biker name and I got a vest with patches on it and my name on it. They all hugged a Teddybear before giving it to me, and told me if I ever felt the BACA bear was running out of love, to give them a call and theyād refill it for me, and then I got a ride on one of their bikes. Just a day or so ago I went to an annual party with them and they we ate food one of them cooked and had a lot of laughs.Ā
Iāve never felt as loved as I did being a part of the BACA family. They also gave me dog tags with the names, and phone numbers of my 2 workers.Ā So I can call them whenever I feel scared.Ā
BACA is an absolutely wonderful group that will do everything in itās power to help any child whos been abused.Ā
And it doesnāt end when youāre 18 either. As long as you get in contact/get your level 1 before youāre 18? youāre ALWAYS a BACA kid. Iām 18 now and they still invite me to parties, ask me if Iām okay, and are there for me. Theyāre still trying to find me resources for therapy.Ā
BACA has changed my fucking life.Ā
I hope you all can read this, and reblog it knowing from someone who fucking been with them, that they are absolutely amazing.Ā
If I ever donāt reblog this, itās because I am physically being restrained against my will.
Supporting your local heroās.
FUCKEN AMAZING what these Bikers do!!!! This is why I donāt give up on humanityā¦

Had seen this before, but never realised that this is on an international level - thereās even a contact address close to where I live (in Germany), very cool (though hoping the only use Iāll ever have to make of it is for donations) ā¤
I'm having feelings about capitalism again. Mostly about the lack of respect shown for the workforce. I deleted a whole post because it got to be like seven paragraphs of me yelling about cheese and I sounded absolutely batshit.
The summary of it was that y'all are seeing empty shelves and the workforce quitting en masse because 2020 and 2021 were "fuck around" and brought us to 2022's "find out".
The supply chain has been collapsing far longer than consumers noticed. Yeah, maybe you've been coming into the store and buying goat cheese crumbles on a regular basis and figured that there was no problem, but you didn't see me behind the scenes being shorted two out of every three orders I placed for them, and just trickling out my backstock a little at a time so I never had an empty shelf, just nearly empty.
The warehouse workers noticed before I did, because they're the ones who got product from the processors or manufacturers. And the manufacturers noticed before that, because they knew when they weren't getting the raw materials. And the transportation workers are the ones who could see this happening all along, because they're the ones who are with the supply chain every step of the way.
The shelves have been empty for a long time. People are just noticing it now because it got to the store level.
You know when you're drinking a thick milkshake through a straw, and you run out of shake, but it takes you a few seconds to notice that your cup is empty because you've still got some shake in your straw, and you don't know it's gone until you hit that air bubble? It's like that. The cup's been empty for a bit. We're just now hitting the air bubble.
[just gestures at the notes of this post]
Everyone is feeling the crunch. And I keep coming back to the thought that so many people are leaving their jobs not because of illness, but because they (understandably!) canāt deal with the pressure anymore. Itās been constant, and itās physically, emotionally, psychologically draining work. The workforce has been metaphorically crumbling for longer than itās been literally crumbling.
Weāre tired, and the corporations and consumers want us to pretend like nothing is wrong. Just use the backup product. Use the other brand. Donāt wear the gloves unless you have to. Just put something on the shelf to fill the holes. Pretend like nothing is wrong so that everyone else can keep pretending like the pandemic is over and life is normal again.
I mean, weāre doing what we can. Weāre all doing important work. It doesnāt always seem like it. Weāre just shelf stockers, weāre just transportation drivers, cashiers, baristas. But you know! Youāve lived in this Covid world too! You know how necessary morale boost is. You know how important it is for your mental well being to be able to go get a fluffy coffee drink when youāre sad. To hop over to the store for a pre-made salad so you can spend your own energy on something else and not worry about nutrition. To know that your garbage will be picked up so you donāt have it in the house. The world is filled with people doing little day to day jobs so that you donāt have to worry about them. And weāre trying to keep those things going, even through the struggle and the shortages.
The bottom line of the supply chain problems is people. The people are getting sick. The ones who arenāt sick are rightfully deciding that they canāt handle the constant crunch and theyāre leaving to take their chances with other jobs. When someone is standing there like Atlas holding the world on their shoulders, and then you add in all the people from customer to corporate yelling that youāre not doing enough, itās not enough, make it more normal, make it like it was! Then yeah, youāre going to set the world down and say āfine, fuck you too.ā
Right now, the best thing you can do to help is be kind, be kind, be kind.

Aid Access supports women who cannot otherwise access an abortion or miscarriage treatment and protects their human rights.
Oh wouldnāt this be tragicĀ if word of this spread out everywhere possible?
Iām like 99% sure that per our new ridiculous law, simply sharing this would theoretically make someone who lives in Texas and passes the info to another Texan (who uses this service to abort) suable for one of those $10,000 anti abortion bounties. Even though the org canāt be sued.
So let me be clear Iām definitely not sharing it for any of my fellow Texans to use š
Please spread the word so that ANYONE WHO NEEDS AN ABORTION IN TEXAS KNOWS
that this illegal service is illegal and bad.
PSA: If you are Jewish and you need a menorah and candles, contact your nearest Chabad house and they will give you one for free or at most extremely cheap.

The first night of Chanukah this year is sundown on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Itās not to late to reach out for your Chanukah supplies!
I donāt even think Christmas shouldnāt be all over the public space like it is. Clearly it does make a lot of people happy and I lowkey I actually kind of like it too! (Sort of. But I also donāt.) So, continue covering your town square or wherever with trees and lights, Iām not saying not to. What I *am* asking for is:
- Acknowledge that Christmas is not a universal holiday and that some people either feel negatively about it or just donāt celebrate it. Stop being offended by this.
- Stop forcing people to participate. Donāt make your Jewish employees wear Christmas outfits, donāt make schoolkids be part of Christmas plays, etc.
- Stop pushing back when Jews are honest with you about how they feel about it.
- Stop deflecting to talk about how Christmas traditions are actually pagan in origin. We know, and also itās fully irrelevant to our issues with Christmas.
- Recognize things from other cultures. Or at very least donāt *prevent* members of other cultures from expressing them. If your employee wants to put up a menorah, let them. If your coworker wants to add a Chanukah decoration to your office donāt take it down when theyāre not looking because it āmesses up the Christmas spiritā or whatever.
- Recognize things from different cultures at other times of the year too. Let your Jewish students and employees take days off for the fall holidays. Maybe even consider merchandise or decorations for those holidays too!
- Stop with the double standards. You donāt get to say that a menorah is religious and a Christmas tree isnāt. Either both of them are or neither of them are. A menorah actually is a ritual object but a) plenty of secular Jews use them and b) I donāt think most Christians know that, they just think of Judaism (and therefore Jewish culture) as āa religionā and Christian culture as normal. When people claim to object to Chanukah (the holiday most widely ā and often exclusively ā celebrated by secular Jews) because itās āreligious,ā theyāre actually objecting because itās non-normative.
- Listen when someone is telling you about their experiences with and thoughts about hegemonic culture. Donāt argue that actually itās fine becaude Christmas is secular or pagan or whatever. Trust people about the experiences theyāve had and how things impact them.
(Yes, non-Jews can reblog this.)
itās national day of mourning. as a Indigenous non-binary lesbian, iām asking for any financial help anyone can provide. i have an instagram page where i sell beadwork to provide for myself and my payment forms are listed below. please spare anything you can to me or other Natives you know to support us through this holiday season.

Happy Black History YEAR!
Greatness.
loving how my old history teacher talked about them like a terrorist group
boost me up
Wow okay so for those skimming, thereās a memo up there from THE DIRECTOR OF THE FBI that sets a mission to LIE about the good things the Black Panthers were doing, spread rumors of them being terrorists, and terrorize the communities supporting them.
If you think the Black Panthers were terrorists and youāve never heard of the community-building, itās because there was a literal government conspiracy to make you and people 45 years ago think that way.
iām reblogging again (bolding mine), because people need to fucking know this. especially white americans.Ā
