I was having a conversation with someone who was lamenting over how to maintain attraction to our partners as their bodies change and age and feeling self conscious herself about that process and I was like. we should be so lucky as to see them through these many years as we are seen ourselves. I was wondering why biphobes are usually okay with like, queer folks brining their cishetallo family to pride/other queer spaces but get all pissy when it's a bi woman's "lame cishet bf" and aside from the obvious fact that they just fucking loathe bi+ people in general, I think it's legit because so many biphobes are chugging that radfem kool-aid and just fully cannot imagine that a cishetallo man could possibly be supportive of his partner and her needs/interests/desires.
Like it is mostly because they just hate bi people, but the specific usage of "your lame cishet bf" makes me go hmm. Like they truly cannot fathom a cishetallo man being normal about queer people or even just like being a good partner at all and it's SO pathetic. This is the same shit that leads to these people blaming bi women who are abused by men for dating men in the first place.
I'm just so fucking sick of people who hate men so hard it leads to them treating marginalized people like shit. I'm over it. This it's progressive it's reactionary and stupid and we are so much better than that. I hope every bi woman brings her bf to pride. I want cishetallo people at pride supporting their queer loved ones. What the fuck is so wrong with that, aside from the fact that they just cannot stand seeing a bi woman who doesn't hate herself for liking men.
Like I actually think it's fucking sick when a bi woman has a cishetallo bf who loves and supports her to the point that he'll go with her to queer events. That's based actually. How tf could you possibly have a problem with a bi woman finding someone who loves and supports her? Why are you upset to learn that there's yet another cishetallo person who's on our side?? I just really want the people who say this shit to fully accept that what they want is for bi women to be miserable and silent. They want us to be punished for dating men until we stop and shove ourselves in the closet or give up and pretend we're lesbians. When you make jokes about a bi woman's lame ass bf you are saying with your whole chest that you want bi women to either suffer or pretend to be gay.
You believe bi suffering is more important than solidarity and pride and education and outreach and welcoming new allies.
You don't think that bi women deserve to be happy. That's it. And that's bigoted horseshit and you should be judged harshly for saying it.
