trans men absolutely are in sex work, the majority just present as women for work because it's much harder to make money if you don't. You don't see them because they're forced to detransition for work or you haven't even tried to look for the ones who are presenting masc. They're all over the sex work forums if you know what to look for and how they talk about it.

I think a lot of "trans men aren't affected by this" stuff boils down to the trans men in question that ARE affected being deminished to not being men at all or being forced to detransition/pretend to be women

A lot of talk about boymoding and how hard it is but trans men do the exact same thing the other way around and a lot of times specifically because they are forced into sex work

The trans community in general would be way healthier if we realized we literally go through the same exact stuff

Working Guys is a collection of essays, personal narratives and interviews about the lives of transmasculine sex workers, in our own words.

It has writing by everyone from girlmoding full-service ecorts to medically transitioned porn stars.

It's one of the only published works on the topic (in fact, I think it might be currently he the sole published work on the topic in English).

As a trans man who has done sex work in vairey of context both while girlmoding and after socially and medically transitioning, I found it to be an excellent collection of raw and honest writing by people whose stories are so often erased.

something I really enjoy is that I've now seen like 4 or 5 variations of roughly this same video, all slightly different in their angles and timing while obviously being the exact same bunny and room, implying that this is a consistent and frequent behavior for this bunny instead of just a funny thing it did once that got caught on camera. Was listening to a podcast ep about cluster headaches with a physician on as a guest & one of the things he talked about is how little is known about CH in children. We know it happens, because some children do get diagnosed sometimes & some adult patients will remember it starting in childhood, it's just that it's very rare for children to get properly diagnosed because nobody takes their pain seriously & if they exhibit behaviors associated with CH attacks/debilitating pain — such as lashing out, screaming, banging their head with their fists or against a wall — adults are going to be inclined to handle that as a behavioral issue, not a medical one.

I can't remember when my attacks started, so I can't help but wonder if I was beaten as a child for having an attack....

It would explain why & how I learned to repress the pain so much that I didn't get diagnosed until I was 30.

I didn't even realize what I was experiencing was a "headache" until very recently. I couldn't have told you where the pain was. It's a full-body experience of just this intense misery. I would be sobbing uncontrollably & not know why.

Intense emotional states can also trigger an attack. The one attack I remember from childhood happened after a fight with my parents. So it was very easy for them to just dismiss it as me "acting out".

The 2 ways cluster headaches can be diagnosed are:

A doctor observes you having an attack & recognizes that it's CH.

You're able to describe your attacks to a doctor who then takes you seriously & recognizes that it's CH.

The problem with the first scenario is that most doctors will not recognize a CH attack when they see it so you have to be very lucky to have an attack in the presence of a specialized & experienced doctor (probably a neurologist).

The problem with scenario #2 is that... cluster headaches have been rated more painful than childbirth by people who've experienced both. What usually happens at that level of pain is that afterwards, you will often not remember exactly how painful it was, where the pain was and much less which accompanying symptoms you had and how long it lasted.

It's like if, after giving birth unmedicated, someone asked you to rate how painful it was and describe where you felt the pain & what else was going on with your body. If you're lucky, you won't remember it in that much detail.

But that's also what makes it so hard to diagnose. Even in adults. Kids though? Nearly impossible.

If a guy did any of these things to a girl it would be considered abuse but since its the other way around its considered normal. Throughout High school I saw many girl treating their boyfriends like shit. Sometime even physically abusing them in the hallways and no one trying to stop it because its a girl attacking a boy.

Boys: If your girlfriend does anything on this list leave her. It is abuse and you deserve better.

Girls: if you find your self doing anything on this list to your boyfriend you need to knock it off because you are being abusive.

Women/young girls can definitely be just as abusive. I knew a young man that got ran over and had his leg broken by his girlfriend because (in her words he annoyed her) He refused to press charges. Another young lady started to hit her ex boyfriend because he wouldn’t take her back because of the abuse. He called the cops on her and they literally started laughing at him because she was very petite in comparison to him. Anyone can be abusive and I wish more people understood that.
