every day i am thankful to ancient humans for the domestication of the cat. fucking genius idea. agriculture was a good one too btw but you really outdid yourselves with the cat thing
There has literally never been a more dog coded Character than Peter Shaw.
He is protective as fuck and loyal to a fault.
He has way to much energy.
He is only scared of stupid shit and unreasonably brave about actually dangerous stuff.
I think strange horrible things should stop befalling my friends
I think strange wonderful things should start befalling my friends
heat waves will have you say off-base things like "schon bisschen frisch, oder" when it's 26 degrees instead of 30
sorry i meant to say heat waves will have you say off-base things like "schon bisschen frisch, oder" when it's 30 degrees instead of 38
there are of course a lot of factors at play in this issue and they are worth talking about, but a thing that no one seems to be bringing up in this particular instance is that it's a bit ridiculous to treat Target, a store that has maybe two aisles, tops, dedicated to books, as representative of the entire publishing industry
It isn't actually an egg-hen-problem. Historically speaking there's a pretty clear answer: men didn't read for pleasure, women did. With the popularisation of novels, especially during the enlightenment, reading became increasingly gendered. Whereas men predominantly read philosophy, history, science and political works as means of acquiring knowledge and participating in public life, women's reading was expected to be confined to religious texts and moral improvement. Instead women massively popularised novels. So much so that it caused widespread criticism from moralists. They deemed reading fictional works morally corrupting and little better than gossiping. As a result reading for pleasure became associated as a "female hobby" and was belittled by men. So yeah, historically speaking men just didn't read novels. Reading was always a woman's hobby. Yet of course the industry has been dominated by men. So they can really only blame themselves.
The thing is, I do want Netenyahu arrested. I do think he's a war criminal, and I do think Israel would be better off with him behind bars.
But I want the Israelis to do it. I want the Israelis to get a chance to handle their problems themselves. I want Netenyahu to have to confront the material harm that he's caused to his own people, and I want those people to have their justice.
I want Netenyahu to be brought to justice by the people he actually hurt, not some thirty year old New Yorker who thinks he knows better than Jews about antisemitism and feels entitled to speak over us about our own history for some goddamn reason.

Before there were heart stutters, but here’s where Cole’s emotional state takes a plunge. He’s still restraining himself, of course. But really, why would this information shock him? He should’ve assumed it meant anyone but him. The fact that he believes it’s him means his humanity’s returned with a vengeance.
I would also like to point out here that I love how Charmed handles this:
- Cole is Phoebe’s true love
- Coop is also Phoebe’s true love
- It’s possible to have more than one true love
- Just because you lose the first, doesn’t mean it was your only chance
There’s so much hope in this message.
