important! (please help me leave my household and escape my abuser.)
hi everybody, so sorry I haven’t posted in awhile and I hate to have to turn to social media and ask for help but I am completely out of options and severely desperate at this point. I’m currently in a very toxic living environment and my safety is at risk. My parents are kicking me out of the house for exposing mine and my younger sisters sexual abuser (who also is living in the same space as us.) I’ve been working 2 jobs and trying to gather as much as I can to get my own place but I am running extremely short with money. Please please please consider helping out, again, nothing is obligatory but absolutely anything will help me and I am running out of time. Thank you so so so much in advance, reblogs would be extremely appreciated. Even just a dollar would help.

I have nothing to lose and 1700$ to gain
wrong currency but ill take what i can get
hey guys, I’m really embarrassed to even be writing this right now but I’ve unfortunately missed two weeks of work due to covid and I owe $300 in bills. My bank account is in the negative and I rely on uber and lyft to get to work (I’m undocumented and unable to drive). Because I’m undocumented I also can’t collect government benefits of any kind and my employers will not offer sick pay. This is a really unfortunate situation and I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom and I just don’t know what else to do. If anyone can help, I’ll list my payment links below. Even just a reblog is appreciated!

update on this, my roommates and I were just notified that we are being evicted. Please boost if you can.
Fuck I’m at a fencing tournament and literally a minute after I reblogged this my dad told me that he talked to the point people and I’m probably going to win a medal.
BURN BAGEL BURN
OH WHY NOT?
I need to follow up to say I reblogged this last night, and this morning I got some of the best news of my life, like, a life dream come true news thing.
Bagel what are your powers
FUCK, I though it was just another lucky meme but LISTEN. Since a week ago I was waiting a phone call to confirm me if I got a job or not in my university. I reblogged this yesterday’s night “just for fun and because I don’t want any bagel to be mad with me”, and today’s afternoon, while I was losing my time as always, the professor I was supposed to work with called me and asked me for my personal information to start working with her.
THE BAGEL POWERS ARE WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS WORLD
I GOT A JOB THE DAY AFTER MY QUEUE POSTED THIS THE FIRST TIME AND I JUST REALIZED IT WHEN I SAW IT AGAIN HOLY GOD
The bagel hasn’t let me down yet!
Sure why not
Agreed
Y'know, why not?
Oh God I hope this is not a hoax. EDIT: Fucking weird!! An hour after I did this I got a response back on some work I’d quoted on but never thought would happen. And the guy apologised for not replying sooner!! Fuck the bagel worked :-)
Come on fire bagel, do your thing!
…It’s worth a try, fire bagel. Please don’t fail me, I could use some good news.
AIGHT LET US TEST THE MIGHTY BAGELS
EDIT: YO THIS ACTUALLY WORKED (it’s probably a coincidence BUT STILL) I’m preparing a musical audition and FINALLY, (IT’S NEVER WORKED, EVER) FINALLY HIT THE NOTE LIKE HOLY FRICK AAHHHH
i’m sorry it’s not even for the luck i just love bagels and fire
💀 I’m currently desperate so please lend me your bagel powers
Reblog if you are bisexual, pansexual, or asexual, if you support bisexuals, pansexuals, and asexuals, or
There’s no third, funny option, just the first two because it’s good to just support people because they deserve support.

your card declines and the person behind you offers to pay
you're the maid of honor at your best friend's wedding, your soon-to-be-lover is the best man
the coffee shop/café is packed with people and no free seats, you ask a stranger if you can sit at their table
we're at a get-together with mutual friends and the only ones without a date
a stranger notices you can't reach the top of the shelf, but before they can offer their help, you've accidentally gone and ripped down the entire bookshelf
you fall asleep on a stranger's shoulder on a long flight. when you wake up, you tell them they're free to use your shoulder as a pillow, which they agree to
you jump into a cab in New York City, but right as the Taxi driver is about to drive off, someone else jumps in
a mutual friend sets you up on a blind-date
while waiting in line, you start a conversation with the person in front of you,
coincidentally, we're both at a hotel, leaving our room at the same time. turns out we both had a one-night stand and it was terrible
for some reason you can't seem to navigate the map, so you ask a stranger for directions. they inform you you're holding the map upside down
you see a stranger sitting alone at a restaurant, and decide to join them
you're at a resort, and in desperate need to get away from your family. you hide in a wardrobe down in the lobby, and while in there, you discover that a stranger is also hiding there
you jump into a car thinking it's your friend's, only to find a stranger sitting in the passenger seat
you're stranded on the highway, struggling to change a tire. a car pulls over to help you, offering to drive you back into town when they deem your car undriveable
the hotel double-booked your room, you can either share it or sleep in the lobby

bumping into your soon-to-be lover on the street, spilling coffee all over their shirt
your friend has been pranking you all day, scaring you when you least expect it. when you go to pick up some food, somebody jumps out from behind you. thinking it's your friend, you turn around and slap them, only to find it's not your friend
you're at the store, arguing with a stranger over who should get to buy the last watermelon (or any other grocery)
you almost hit your soon-to-be lover with your car as they cross the street
''you took my parking spot'' ''I WAS HERE FIRST'' ''I WAS STANDING HERE WHEN YOU PULLED OVER. I HAD MY BLINKERS ON''
you bump into someone's car in the parking lot and they retaliate by bumping yours
you walk into a dressing room thinking it's unoccupied, but instead finds a man without his shirt on
your ex cheated on you, so you decide to go over to their house to cause some mishap, only to later on discover that your ex recently moved
i've been waiting in line for ten minutes and you decide to cut in front of me and i'm not very happy
you're at the bar, having just paid for a drink, only for someone to slide up next to you and take a sip of it
i've mistaken your apartment for my friend's, and has been banging on your door for the past ten minutes. you've finally had enough and open the door, screaming at me to leave you alone. then i start screaming, because it was a mistake. a couple minutes later, your neighbor flings their door open, scolding both of us for making a scene
I want to live by myself when I move out of my parent's place but I'm really afraid of money problems? I'm afraid that the only place I can afford will be in the ghetto and it'll all be torn apart and I'll only be allowed to eat one granola bar a week. I'm really stressing out about this. I don't know anything about after school life. I don't know anything about paying bills or how to buy an apartment and it's really scaring me. is there anything you know that can help me?

Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
Reasons to move out of home
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
Issues to consider when moving out of home
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Your parents may be worried
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips for a successful move
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
If your family home does not provide support
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.
Where to get help
Your doctor
Kids Helpline Tel. 1800 55 1800
Lifeline Tel. 13 11 44
Home Ground Services Tel. 1800 048 325
Relationships Australia Tel. 1300 364 277
Centrelink Crisis or Special Help Tel. 13 28 50
Tenants Union of Victoria Tel. (03) 9416 2577
Things to remember
Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.
