my favorite part of the "karkalicious 2009" post is that if it said 2014 it would be completely undetectable as a fake, but they didn't do that because in 2019 the year 2014 wasn't long enough in the past to be a funny wrong year to put in a new year post

The extra layer is that it's also an excellent trap for Homestuck nerds, because 2009 is the year Homestuck debuted, and nine times out of ten the Homestuck nerd will go "well ACTUALLY, while Homestuck did launch in 2009, Karkat's name wasn't revealed until 2010", and completely overlook the far more serious anachronism that a meme that was ostensibly posted at the start of 2009 shouldn't know about Homestuck at all.
