A/N: inspo from A Walk To Remember BECUASE I JUST WATCHED THAT MOVIE AND I AM HURT. it’s valentine’s day but ima hit y’all with the hurt. 😃👍
you’ve never seen him cry, you’ve never seen him hurt. he was independent and never asked for help from anyone. he was definitely something else.
he had come up to you the other day to ask for help with an assignment, although he hates asking for help and absolutely despises asking help from you. you were considered the weird kid.
since you and iwaizumi were people in two different social groups you’ve never interacted before. he was considered a “bad boy” although he wasn’t all that bad, he was just stubborn and cold towards everyone. you on the other hand were set off to the side. you had told him when he asked you for help..
“on one condition, dont fall in love with me.”
and there you have it, a small formation of a friendship, with the one and only Iwaizumi Hajime.
then one day, you decided to go up to him while he was with his group of friends
“so you’re coming over after school right?”
his friends laugh at the bold question
you walk away in embarrassment and when he comes to your house apologizing after school you shut the door on him, how could you be so foolish to have even thought that you guys could form a friendship?
day after day he tried to show you and tell you that he wanted to have a friendship, over and over again the constant “please” and when he finally gave up you started to get humiliated by the school. photoshopped pictures of you were sent all throughout the school and just when you were about to run, he caught you in his arms willing to drop everything and beat ass.
after that incident he cut off most of his friends, his so called “friendgroup” did this to you and he didn’t want to be part of the people who hurt you. he desperately wanted you to know that he wants to at least be your friend. so when he asked you out for saturday night you couldn’t say no.
he took you to a fancy restaurant and payed for any food that you wanted, you pulled him to the dance floor and you danced throughout the night. he took you on a late night drive through the city blasting whatever music you wanted and then he asked you
“what do you really want to experience?”
“i wanna witness a miracle, that’s pretty neat isn’t it?”
and from that night forward you guys started to date and he promised you he’ll fulfill that experience, left and right he looked for the good in anything and anyone hoping a miracle would come out of it until you were rushed to the hospital.
you explained that you were sick and you didn’t tell him because you had a plan, a bucket list to fill out and complete. you didn’t want your sickness to come in the way of that and then he came into your life and made you forget everything up until now. you gave him your bucket list and there was only 2 things left to do until you could die peacefully.
get married to someone you genuinely love
and he promised you, he’d do anything for you, make your wishes come true before it was to late.
he took you on a walk around the hospital and asked you to marry him, of course it wasn’t the best place to ask but it’s the thought that counts. once you were discharged from the hospital you two got married, he distracted you from your sickness, he distracted you from the true reality that you had to face.
and that’s the first time you ever saw him cry. the first time you’ve ever seen him hurt.
one day he decided to look through a book you gave him right before you had passed and it was a diary of all the things you did on your bucket list together. he flipped to the last page, the last thing you wanted to do was checked off and on that page lay a picture of the two of you with writing underneath saying
