FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY wore my Iron Fist oxford shoes (period). I was always afraid to wear them because they are made of quite thin-feeling canvas material (although it’s listed as leather so it clearly just feels like canvas) and the there’s obviously the white stripes on them that I didn’t want to get dirty. Of all the places to wear them, I chose to wear them into Reading town center (the cleanest place I know! /s). They actually made it home in once piece (as did my feet, thankfully!) as you can see in the pictures as the two top pictures of just the shoes were taken after getting home - sorry for the crap lighting.

I let Rik photograph me just to document this momentous occasion. Two pictures were required as the first one was my “idgaf, I’m just chewing some gum” face LOL.

My only negative comment?? Not the most breathable for this extreme heat we were having today. My little piggies were ROASTING. But that was more a poor choice on my part rather than the shoes themselves.

Mermaid costume completed! A kawaii mermaid, if you ask me.

My wig came for my mermaid costume (and so did my backup top). I pretty much didn’t want to take it off. When you combine it with a snapchat filter, I look like an anime princess and I absolutely love that! Rik gave it a go as well and he was looking super kawaii himself hahah. It was a hard “no” from me unfortunately. I really wish it was either my regular hair or that I could just wear fun wigs all the time...I miss my long locks...

Honestly, thank fuck for amazon prime! I was priming something last night and remembered that I needed something to organise my makeup. Saw this and it was nearly half priced and set to arrive today so I ordered it. Not to shabby. Definitely helped clean up the space and keep it more organised and contained.

Was surprisingly good quality for such a cheap price! (was around £3) It didn’t appear to come off much on my glass while I was drinking and I wiped my mouth a few times during lunch, but when I looked in the mirror after to see if it had been wiped off completely it was still there, so that’s a success. It’s more like a lip stain I suppose. Either way, it was a nice shade (not too dark, not too light) and pretty damn resilient. Definitely excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Thanks to an amazing co-worker up in Scotland who’s girlfriend is continually buying my favourite brand of shoes ( @ironfistclothing ) in the wrong size - that just so happens to be MY size - I have scored the shoes that match my clutch bag and they’ve never been worn. Absolute perfect condition. He, as usual, wouldn’t let me pay anything just asked that I pay it forward...so I made sure to buy multiple Christmas presents for our local charity who gives presents to children in foster care/care homes.

put on some @diamondsupplyco socks and decided it felt like a Diamond Supply type of day so grabbed a shirt and this hoodie to match.

Thought I would just take a quick second to share some actual decent photos of my husband and myself. Got ourselves photoshoot fresh (top photo) to take some family portraits at Target (surprisingly very good/professional) as a present to my mom. We did a few big, family picture (I.E. my parents and my siblings with their partners and children), a few of just me/parents/siblings, a few of just the “grandchildren”, and then each separate family did their own little shoot. I was feeling a bit nervous as I feel I always tend to take maybe one or two good pictures out of the bunch but was pleasantly surprised to see that I felt I looked okay in nearly all of the photos we received. Extra bonus is that my husband doesn’t typically put a natural-looking smile on when we take a photo together and he usually ends up looking awkward and miserable. These photos, he actually looks like he likes me somewhat! haha

They even did a specific shot where you could see my @ironfistclothing hees!

In which we amateurs learn how to create Ramona Flowers’ Subspace Purse from scratch, without a patterned, and fueled by our own determination to have fun and create something made of awesome…

Might need to give this a try for halloween :)
