Other important things!
I’m black

I’m a new Kemetic pagan - I work with and worship Bast and Ra
Ugh I keep thinking we’re/I’m faking being plural because we’re always co conscious and blending together but the majority of the time they front without me
But I know we aren’t faking and I say “we” because for all of us to be faking would be insane and make no sense
Also if I’m being honest I know my headmates front more by themselves. It’s just idk. Every time I use plural kit in discord and they proxy as only them and not me and them together I feel weird.
But it really is only them. I think I have host syndrome 😂 a term I made up where you still want to hold onto control being the main person fronting but in reality nah it’s them fronting all by themselves
I’m proud of them for fronting without me. I just feel like I’m faking still because I don’t black out but non possessive switches are real and exist and is 1000% what we experience!
All in all none of us are faking anything and I should stop comparing ourselves to other systems.
With the increase in interest in radio collars and bird bands, I would like to bring to light one creator who makes such a thing that are wearable for nonhuman identifying people. : Bird Brain Leatherwork. Additionally, the business is independent and queer owned, run by a single artist and leatherworker. Her items are handmade, and by their appearance, look sturdy and well made.
These items are made with the BDSM/kink, petplay, furry, and therian communities in mind. She makes a variety of leather items such as collars and cuffs (as well as other items such as patches and LARP gear), but the following are items which specifically fit the topic of radio collars and bird bands.
Tracker Wild Critter Collar
A collar designed to give the appearance of a wildlife monitoring collar. Customizable and able to include species and ID numbers. Also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker, so your handler or researcher can keep track of you.
The Bird Band Wild Critter Cuff
Reminiscent of wildlife birdbands used for ecological research and monitoring. (Or bands used on "domesticated"/pet bird species as well.) Much like the Tracker collar, the Bird Band cuff also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker.
The Falconer Wild Bird Anklets
These cuffs are meant to resemble the anklets placed on falconry birds, with a large eyelet for proper jess (or other rope) connections.
Ear Tag Wild Critter Tag
An ear tag like those used in ecological research or ranch identification, able to be customized with your own words and symbols. Also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker, and different mounting options for small ears or fursuits. (There are other creators who have made similar Ear Tag style gear using lighter materials that may be easier to wear, if wearing the tag in the physical ear is important to the individual.)
do you have any resources on “easy” or accessible ways of environmentalism? im pretty limited in what i can do (due to financials and similar constraints) so i was wondering if you had any advice!
In regards to my former post about the alterhuman community and environmentalism.
Okay ...... I have been thinking about this ask for days, hence why I took so long to respond. I went as far as to ask everyone I knew how they got into environmentalism, and how to give you more easily digestible stuff [ because things are hard!! and that's okay ].
I will likely in the near future make a mega resource of sorts with tons of free things, as well as probably a discord server, so stay tuned should you care. I'm not gonna give you as much as I could right now simply because I don't have everything collected yet, BUT regardless, here's at least two huge things.
Continuing below. This is a loooonnng ass post so lock in
RESEARCHING.
I think even if you're not actively doing things, taking the time to research stuff is extremely good and well benefit you down the road pretty significantly. You will never ever run out of things to learn, and it's important to learn literally as much as possible anyways.
Learning DIY and how to reduce, reuse and recycle your own shit. This can be through crafts or anything, and range from homemade folder files out of cereal boxes to growing plants in hanging plastic jugs. There's LOTS of ideas on Pinterest, I find. Environmentalism as a whole strongly encourages reducing consumerism, so being able to make your own stuff independently too out of what you have is especially great!
Learning about Solarpunk itself. This is a fantastic environmentalism movement, which I think suggests a lot of ideas about hope and holding humanity, giving strength to those in the cause. PERSONALLY Solarpunk is what radicalized me into environmentalism. It reframed my understanding of how to approach the despair of the world, as it emphasizes working in local communities rather than trying to fix the entire planet alone, proposes that all technology, mankind, AND the environment can exist, thrive, and support each other equally in tandem, and observing hope as a value tool to change the world. Look it up, look for art surrounding it, look up anything. It's really great.
Researching all things alive. Being better educated on the many faces of our lovely Earth is a really good way to become passionate about ecosystems and wildlife! Go look for pictures, watch documentaries on YouTube, learn about new animals, do anything. I'd especially encourage you though to try and research local species' of flora and fauna that are native!
Some additional subjects... Climate change itself, literally all of colonialism and how it still shapes everything today, biodiversity, deep ecology, if you can human sprawl and why its important to expand cities vertically instead of horizontally, cars and how they are genuinely one of the worst things on the fucking planet, the benefits of solar power, and more. I PROMISE you can look this stuff up on the internet and you will find articles and YouTube videos to help these are easily researchable.
Learning how to recontextualize and relearn your place in, and with nature. Knowing nature, and being able to care for the planet we love. This kind of comes in tandem with learning about nature, but it's very important to understand. If I'm going to be honest though, the only answer I have is to read what I read; Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer, the good ol' reliable. Braiding Sweetgrass is a pretty essential text that I'd STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you read in its entirety, but I ESPECIALLY encourage you to read the first section, which is much shorter than the actual book. Within less than 50 pages much of how I thought was completely renewed, and if it became a foundation of my understanding of these things, I imagine it can become a foundation for yours too. Here is a PDF copy of it you can get. I beg of you, please just read up until page 46. You don't even have to read the introduction, but I literally do not know how else to teach probably the most important thing to learn of all otherwise.
The website I used is called Anna's Archive. It's safe and used for getting pdf copies of basically any and every text ever. Go crazy. I cannot stress enough how valuable research and knowledge is, because basically EVERYTHING we're concerned about is based on science.
2. GUERILLA GARDENING
Much more hands on then the former, this is probably one of the most effective ways you can help strengthen your areas ecodiversity and populations of native species, and it's totally free!
This is a really great video for this subject. Though American centric, it applies pretty much anywhere in the world. In general this channel's really cool for various environmental topics go watch his stuff.
Here's what guerrilla gardening is. Most places humans live, especially urban areas are deadzones in ecodiversity. Ecosystems are torn up from the earth in construction, where almost all formerly existing native plant life is destroyed. A way to fix this is by planting native plants anyways, and it's really easy! Most places with human construction and residence tend to have dirt corners, empty sidewalk grass, and more fantastic places where native life otherwise could be. The idea is you just grow native plants yourself in these spaces, and since the plants ARE native, once they're planted and grown they can basically do all the work themselves from then on to stay alive. It's free because you can collect seeds from native plants likely anywhere, but if you don't think you can I don't think they should be expensive to buy. I'd obviously research gardening because of all this. Furthermore, if you're going to collect seeds yourself, MAKE SURE TO STUDY NATIVE PLANTS AND PLANT IDENTIFICATION, BECAUSE ACCIDENTALLY SPREADING INVASIVE SPECIES' CAN BE DISASTROUS, AND NOT EASY TO FIX. Please be wary. Learn how to store and process your seeds. Also learn when plants release seeds, because they usually only do that at certain times of the year.
Let me be clear, I have never guerrilla gardened, but I want to! I put this here because it was probably the most recommended thing I share knowledge on when it came to beginner stuff. Here's some additional resources.
Collecting Native Seeds by the US Forest Service
Low-Tech Devices for Collecting, Processing, and Planting Seeds by RNGR
How to collect wildflower seed to create a wildflower meadow or garden
How to save your wild flower seeds
How To Collect and Store Seeds
And oh boy, that was a lot. If you read this whole thing, fucking awesome, sorry I don't know how to be more concise. I didn't mean for this to be as long as it was, but this is exactly why I'm working to put things together before trying to formally introduce a mega resource or some kind of server to help teach others. I hope this can be of some use in the meantime. Remember, as I said previously, you will never run out of things to learn with environmentalism.
You do not need to post about things to care about them. "I see you not reblogging" is guilt-tripping.
You're allowed to curate your own blog. "I don't care if this doesn't fit your blog aesthetic" is guilt-tripping.
You're allowed to skip past posts that distress you. "x amount of people must reblog" is guilt-tripping.
Permission is not needed but for those whom it will make more comfortable; you are allowed to block people who post bullcrap that makes you feel guilty.
This post has no DNI; everyone may reblog regardless of syscourse stance, but reblogs are not required. Spread love.

Do you all understand what I mean when I say sprolden haunt the narrative of heartstopper? Not in a Catherine in wuthering heights way, but their story is just always present in the back of my mind when reading heartstopper. From their actual appearances in the story to just being so hyper aware that the comic fundamentally exists because of them. I understand why Alice oseman views them as the Adam and Eve of her works
First English version of the International Plurality Handbook is out!
This is a compilation of plural resources for systems in countries all over the world. Copying, translating, replicating, and recreating in different formats is not just allowed, but encouraged.
All we ask is that you notify us when your translation is complete, so we can link it to the original document.
It features:
an explanation of what plurality is,
a list of websites and individual articles, organised by language (of which there are currently 10),
academic papers on plurality in different regions of the world,
and a few tips on explaining plurality in your language or culture (we are hoping to add more).
Despite the original version being written in English, it is written in plain language (no figures of speech, bare minimum jargon with explainations) so that those using tools like Google Translate can get a clear idea of the information.
This guide is not perfect! We are only fluent writers in English, and we do not have insight into every single culture. It will update as new resources are found.
If you have any tips, links, suggestions or complaints, send asks to this blog or email us at [email protected].
Securely store, share, and access your important files and photos. Anytime, anywhere.
Hi, there. I'm seeking more scholarly, academic or formalized information on endogenic plurality. Could you recommend books? Thank you.
We don't know of any books, but there are academic articles on endogenics!
General Articles:
Enacted Identities: Multiplicity, Plurality, and Tulpamancy: It's talking about plurality, but is heavily focused on the non-traumagenic sides of the community.
Multiplicity: An Explorative Interview Study on Personal Experiences of People with Multiple Selves: One endogenic system took part in the study, and the researchers discuss their overall findings and the possibility of some sort of hereditary component to some systems.
Dissociation and Transformation: Talks about the possibility of dissociation being a symptom of good health, rather than always pathological.
Dissociative Experiences in the General Population (pdf): Surveys a city for dissociative experiences, and found that at least some spontaneous dissociative experiences may be due to endogenous factors.
Alterity: Learning polyvalent selves, resisting disabling notions of the self
Differences Between Trance Channeling and Multiple Personality Disorder on Structured Interview: Compares trance channeling and MPD (what is now called DID), and concludes that differences in experiences may have to do with whether they're trauma-based or not. (Channelers aren't necessarily endogenic, but it does go into why despite having multiple identities, trance channelers don't have DID. This may be relevant for some forms of spiritual endogenic plurality.)
New Age 'Channeling' and Theories of Dissociation: Applying a 'Structural Dissociation of the Personality' Model to the Case of Jane Roberts: A really good thesis comparing a famous channeler (Jane Roberts) with dissociative identity disorder. (Channelers aren't necessarily endogenic, but it does go into why despite having multiple identities she didn't have DID. This may be relevant for some forms of spiritual endogenic plurality.)
Soulbonding:
The illusion of independent agency: Do adult fiction writers experience their characters as having minds of their own?
Uncharted features and dynamics of reading: Voices, characters, and crossing of experiences: Many readers seem to hear the voices of the characters they're reading about in books as they're reading it, with a rare few even hearing their voices even after they're finished reading.
Most Authors Can 'Hear' Their Characters' Voices Talking to Them, Survey Reveals: Up to 63% of authors hear their characters talking to them, showing that this is a fairly common phenomenon.
Tulpas/Thoughtforms:
Tulpas and Mental Health: A Study of Non-Traumagenic Plural Experiences
Varieties of Tulpa Experiences: Sentient Imaginary Friends, Embodied Joint Attention, and Hypnotic Sociality in a Wired World
Learning to Discern the Voices of Gods, Spirits, Tulpas and the Dead: compares and contrasts tulpamancy and other communities centered around voices, spirits or disembodied entities
Hopefully this helps! If any of our followers know of any books talking about endogenic plurality (or any other resources in general) please feel free to add on!
There's the Plurality chapter in the book Transgender Mental Health by Dr. Eric Yarbrough. It's not focused on endogenic plurality, but it does say quite clearly that endogenics are a valid form of plurality.
Mod Reaper [Plain text: Mod Reaper]: Unusual experiences and their association with metacognition: investigating ASMR and Tulpamancy by Emma Palmer-Cooper:
British Psychological Society article talking about the research paper
The research paper itself
There's sadly the misconception of it being done via Buddhist rituals instead of the heavily secular view of most tulpamancers, but it's still a good resource.
.
Our culture tag, which talks about cultural experiences of many selves outside of the "normal" of Western psychiatry.
And our research tag, for research papers in general (which includes endogenic plurality)
We also linked some research papers on this post,
and last but not least: @the-fermi-system 's International Plurality Handbook, which also compiles experiences of people who do not adhere to Western psychiatry:
