sooo many people foaming at the mouth wanting to see armand's "fanfic" be proven wrong, when like. it WILL be proven wrong, but likely NOT in the way you want it to. because you completely missed the whole point of that story in 2x3 in the first place.

the point of armand's little story is NOT "omg lestat was soooo in love with me teehee :3", it's literally the opposite. and i'll let the show speak for itself because louis helpfully spells it out in the episode (i guess because the writers had foreseen some of their viewers being illiterate and needing help with this, though i guess they still might have underestimated the extent of the issue):

Armand taught Lestat the Mind Gift. And a week later, Lestat was gone... He abandoned Nicki. He abandoned Armand. He abandoned the coven. Lestat is, was, and will always be, for Lestat.

so the point that armand is making to daniel here is that lestat is a selfish DICK who doesn't care about anyone and anything other than himself. "see, i loved him, and he didn't love me back, he simply took advantage of my feelings to get what he needed from me and then immediately fuck off :<".

and him being proven wrong here would mean that lestat DID actually care about both armand and nicki and didn't just abandon them because he got bored.

whether or not they actually fucked is like. such a tiny part of it and completely beside the point.

i wonder how daniel and (presumably) sam come to lestat's rescue. does lestat telepathically call to them for help? do they just happen upon the scene because they're at the same party? does someone/thing tell them lestat's in danger and to help him? 🤔

Every vampire is all "oh drinking blood is better than any food, drugs, even sex" but I don't even believe them because all of them were literally made before the invention of really good drugs and before we got all the nice foods from the new world, so I don't trust any of their opinions. Lestat has never ate a potato and Armand hasn't ever even tasted tomaotes. The only guy I trust is Daniel Molloy who has probably tried every drug on earth, has definitely ate nice food and would be a valid judge on how good drinking blood really is.

the funniest thing about interview with the vampire is it's that kinda show that so many people are yearning for right now. they want to watch something where every line has a double meaning, where the darker parts of character dynamics are explored in detail, where hidden agendas are foreshadowed in throwaway dialogue, where boundaries are pushed towards more interesting ideas instead of stopping at the usual place. but they're looking for these things in shows that don't want to go down that path and then they're disappointed that the most interesting potential storylines are ignored. people of the world, the show you're looking for is right there.
