@communist-shark
the problem with parents is that they are undiagnosed
imo one of the funniest genres of dude is the ones who post shit on social media like "in 2024 I don't have time for fake friends" "so many people trying to betray you and stab you in the back, can't trust anyone but yourself" "I got a lot of enemies, a lot of people praying on my downfall" and then they work at like the mall or something like bro what kind of life are you leading there cannot be that many people out to get you
upon further reflection the type of guy I was trying to describe here is just drake fans
im glad we're in the internet backwaters i think if dove chocolate or something replied to my post i would just keep reporting them for terorism again and again and again
Ok, I've been curious about this for a while:
How do you pronounce HLVRAI?
H-L-V-R-A-I
Hull-vry
Hell-vry
Either of the above 2 but "fry" instead of "vry"
Half-Life V-R-A-I
Other

my dad is very intensely involved a battle with his city’s public administration over a playground they have tried to forcibly remove like five times in the past 20 years and DID remove once in like 2005 but then had to rebuild because my dad was such a pain in their asses and came through with undeniable receipts of the zoning plan from the 60s/the historic/cultural value of the urban planning…. like there’s a woman in the city office who is his arch nemesis. he is literally the daredevil of urban planning
everyone in the tags needs to stop saying they want to fuck my dad.
"Passengers (2016) should be from Jennifer Lawrence's character perspective and should be a horror movie."
I hate this take so bad. It such a train ride take that everyone jump into because it's famous on internet. I like the movie the way it is. Chris Pratt character is just happened to be doom on some situation beyond his control. His hibernation pot broke down, leaving him stranded alone in a ship for another century. I see it as Cast Away (2000) with Tom Hanks but in space. Jennifer Lawrence is somewhat like his Wilson. Mind you, people there slept for another century while he cant get back to his own hybernation pot. He doomed eternity with a cyborg. That could take a mental challenge on someone having to be trap eternity alone by himself. And the fact that we DID SEE how it take a toll on him. He did have fun in the beginning but it's all temporary pleasure. But I must say if I'm Chris Pratt, I would 100% wake EVERYONE up, not just her tho. If I'm doomed, everyone else follows. Plus there's must be some engineer out there sleeping that could fix it. They might pissed off a bit but atleast everyone gets it.
Okay, I think I see the problem.
First thing: Wilson was a volleyball. Jennifer Lawrence is not an inanimate object. She is a human being.
Women do not exist to alleviate the "mental challenge[s]" of men.
Plus everything that's wrong with that.
For a good take on this, refer to @derinthescarletpescatarians Time to Orbit: Unknown
"This living human being is his Wilson" is such an awful position to have. "If I'm doomed, everyone else follows" is beyond comment. Those are things that you expect a tv character who kidnaps women and locks them in his basement due to loneliness before blowing up a hospital because he has terminal cancer to say.
brb trying this
I understand some of you are 19 but that is not an old man, he's 32.
statements like "It's wrong to masturbate about a person without their consent" and "It's wrong to do something that quietly arouses you while you are in public even if no one can see it" show that a person's understanding of morality basically involves magical thinking. like I wrote this post on the toilet. That's not the same thing as me literally shitting on you
the strength it took me to not go in there and get brain damage reading the worst takes of all time
I'm imagining a world where RPGMaker somehow made it as the de facto codebase for software and you have to navigate your banking app by walking around in a huge room full of NPCs named "make deposit" and "make withdrawal" etc and there's loud as fuck stock music playing
we have got to get regular porn back on this website
I think my job here might actually be dependent on that not happening
i think before you marry someone, you should sit down and go through the AITA subreddit with them and see what their take on those situations is
does your potential future spouse think it's reasonable for their mother to be involved in your family planning? or to make comments about your body? do you? how does your future spouse feel about girls and/or boys nights? situations involving exes? cancelling trips last minute? under what circumstances do they think it's reasonable to host somebody in your home and for how long? etc.
and the goal of doing this isn't to agree one-hundred percent on every single thing. it's to understand how you both view obligations, family, friends, finances, conflict, etc. and to make sure that even if you don't have the exact same perspective, you can understand where the other person is coming from without feeling like they're a crazy person. you have to be able to come to reasonable compromises and sometimes that involves one person fully caving, and sometimes it involves the other person fully caving, and sometimes it's both of you giving a little, but you need to understand what things you both are and aren't willing to compromise on because those types of situations are going to come up in a marriage.
also, since this has turned into actual advice: you should talk through why you think what you think, even when you agree, because you might not be agreeing for the same reasons.
